Employees so loud in the background talking about absolutely nothing, shooting the shit while the person taking your order on the drive thru intercom struggles to hear you and vice versa. Stopped here on the way to Niagara Falls because we were starving and there weren't many other options =X. We arrived around 9:55am and the sign on the door stated that they opened at 10am, so we waited. 10am came around and the doors were still locked, 10:05 am and still locked, 10:15am and still locked. Finally around 10:20am the doors were unlocked and we were able to look at the menu/order. The food didn't take took long to come out, maybe 10mins, and we were out of there by 10:50am. I'm not sure there are words appropriate for how slow this staff moves. There were approximately 3 people in line ahead of me. I had time to read the ENTIRE menu before someone came to the counter to take my order. When she did choose to acknowledge me she did so with the littlest of effort. I realize it's fast food and you probably hate your job but don't make it so obvious. Once she took my order, rather than assisting the 6 people behind me she retreated back to the "line" to help the 4 other people preparing orders. The last time I checked the person manning the front is supposed to stay there to take orders, not hop on grill while people are waiting. After a 15 minute wait she comes back to the register and says, "you had the coke right?" I said yes. And she replies with "oh, then that's yours" referencing my waiting meal. Gee... thanks for letting me know. After that I waited for my 2 friends to place their orders and get their food. By the time they got theirs I had already finished my fries and started my sandwich... it took THAT long. Absolutely the worst establishment I've been too. If I could give it a negative rating I would! When I ordered I asked for a 4 for 4, spicy chicken wrap (with no ranch because of allergies). My nuggets were waaaayyyyy over cooked. You couldn't even taste the chicken because they were so over done. The wrap had a great amount of ranch and when opened my hand broke out in a rash, thank goodness I didn't bite into it yet. To add insult to injury they chicken in the wrap was so old it had already crusted over like it had been sitting out for the entire day. In the running for the worst Wendy's ever. We like the 4 for $4 deal, and ordered two of those. The cashier gave us the total, not asking if we wanted something else (we did). She had stepped away from the register, in front of the drink machine, and just stared at me, a cross between expectant and annoyed. I asked if I should tell her the rest. She was impatient, didn't communicate well. We asked what was on the junior cheeseburger, she told us onions, but ours did not have onions. Either it doesn't, and she told us the wrong thing, or they made it wrong. Also, we asked for no mayo on the junior bacon cheeseburgers, but ours had some mayo on it... seems like they caught themselves and took it off. We would have liked fresh ones with no mayo. She gave us a total, I swiped my card. She had seemed in a hurry the whole time (we were the only ones in line, restaurant almost empty), yet complained about me swiping my card too fast (again, poor communication - if she needed me to wait, she could have said). I was so frustrated ordering with her, I almost gave up and went to Burger King. But, I had a taste for Wendy's nuggets, so I stuck it out. Our food was terrible. I have never in my life thrown out a Wendy's nugget before, but these were gross. My husband said his junior cheeseburger tasted bad, he didn't eat it. Our junior bacon cheeseburgers were cold, the lettuce was wilty, the tomato mealy. I ate less than half of my junior bacon cheeseburger, we threw out most of the fries. They were greasy and overcooked. Some were so dark they looked like hunks of chocolate. The cashier was too busy loudly telling a story about her family and "the pee pee dance" to pay attention to what she was doing. She didn't give us a receipt. The tables were dirty, the whole place was just not welcoming. After we came in, a guy came in and stood at the counter for several minutes. No one helped him. He finally gave up and left. As we were throwing out our food, we said, "No one helped you?" He said they must all be sleeping back there. We said that we wished we hadn't been waited on, the food was terrible and we threw most of it away. We told him about the Burger King down the street, where they always do a good job, and he thanked us. I doubt he'll ever go back to that Wendy's again, and we don't plan to, either. read more

This is by far the worst experience I have ever had at a Wendy's, or fast food place in general. They had my debit card for over 5mins and when I asked why she/he stated that they were processing the transaction. It has never taken over 5mins to process a transaction at a fast food place 1st off. Then she tells me to move up to the gate even though there was no one behind me because apparently I was running up her time by waiting 5mins to get my card back. After sitting at the gate for over 20mins and having seen the transaction come off of my card in my web banking app they come out and state that I need to pay for my food to get it and after showing her I had already paid she started to argue and yell at me. At this point there were 3 people who came out to all see the same thing on my app. And they started yelling more stating it didn't go through. Yet the funds were out of my acct, and then when driving off and saying I will report them she called me a dumb B***(this was one of the supervisors or managers btw) so don't waste your time on this disgustingly ran place. Wendy's in general is my go to fast food destination. I have long held a believe (which was shattered by Burger King that rural or suburban fast food chains strive harder to achieve higher goals of customer satisfaction than those in urban environs. I came up to Monticello from NJ for potential property viewing. As nature called, Wendy's turned out to be the most accessible spot for relieve. I was horribly surprised after my order arrived that the burger was absolutely room temperature and reminded me of the FAKE burger meat that I would expect at my local East Rutherford Burger King. The one next to Stop N Shop where the manager's response to is your burger fresh was, doesn't my kitchen look fresh with his X times warmed over unnatural burgers. I this burger (Double patty Jalapeño) looked and tasted just like the cheap burgers at the scary Burger King (sadly Burger King was my favorite). There was no semblance of fresh or pure even after they exchanged it for a slightly hotter replacement burger. I highly recommend NOBODY go there for the sake of health and sanity. read more

This Wendy's is just sorry. Moved to the area a few years ago. Early visits were OK but definitely nothing special. Over time this location has just gotten worse. Slow service. Try to charge full price when there are specials. Apparently this location does not follow nationally advertised specials like the breakfast sandwich special. Went through the drive through in the beginning of April of this year. I wasn't given the total until I got to the window. Was told it was $21.31. It was an African American woman fairly large with her nails done up and long. I saw her holding a receipt in her hand for what appeared to be my order and it said $16 something. When I asked for my receipt she snapped at me saying it was in the bag. No receipt was in the bag. I'm pretty sure she's overcharging people and keeping the extra money and the receipt. I guess that's how she gets the money to have her nails done. I haven't been back since and I'm not sure if she's still there but I don't recommend it unless you want to get ripped off. I'm not sure how 2 $8 meals comes out to over $21. We order the same thing every time and it's usually about $16. At least at McDonald's they tell you your total and show it on the screen. Wendy's not having a viewable screen to see your total leaves them open for fraudulent employees. Not good. read more
