Quick service last time I went. The employees were on fire. Anyway, I stopped in for lunch one day. The front counter has room for completed orders on the left, a tall soda fountain in the middle, and the registers on the right. Walked up to the lady at the register and began reciting my order. Strangely, she had a microphone, which was linked to speakers around the kitchen, next to her register and repeated my words into it like a referee. Thus, whatever I'm telling her, I'm pretty much telling everyone in the kitchen. Grabbed my change, stepped aside, and waited for my order to be assembled. But BAM! It was already done. Trust me, it's a spooky sight when you're used to waiting a few minutes for your food to come out. Sat down and ate. There was smooth jazz playing in the background, but instead, I listened to the orders of incoming customers that the register lady was delivering to the microphone: "No onions, no cheese? I told her the ketchup tub was empty and she just said ok in annoyance without even looking at me. Everytime i go to this Wendy's its a bad experience i.e. they are rood, they have a long line, or they get my order wrong sometimes all of those things at the same time. On my most recent visit i told them i wanted a #6 (a spicy chicken sandwich)and they gave me a #5 (hamburger bacon burger) and the fries were soggy and cold. The setting is spit-spat immaculate. Their floor is covered by rugs, oddly enough, a very untraditional operation they run. Due to this abnomaly, they are outside of business norms! This location went from "it's alright" to "why do you exist anymore?" The customer service is pretty bad, and they didn't give us what we paid for. We were missing an order of fries, sauces (we paid for 4 and got 2), my husband said his sprite tasted like mineral water (I did laugh at that one) and the staff gives attitude TO THE FULLEST. Won't be back. The food is good, customer service is shitty lol. I went to drive through to order the $4 dollar meal because I only had $5 on me. I got a container with only half the container of fries filled and a tiny cup, and the Hispanic woman at the window didn't say anything at all. This is my normal after A's games food spot! The drive through is perfect and never takes too long to order our food and head home. The customer service is usually good, never too peppy being that it's usually after 10pm but it's totally understandable. The pretzel burger is a good choice and so is the good 'ole frosty! I'm not big on the chicken sandwiches but they are still good. Go for the perfect late night food run, better than jack in the box! read more

I (used) here all the time and have never had any issues with anything until today. I've worked in customer service at a food establishment in the past- so I treated the cashier helping me today the way I would've wanted to be treated and in return I was just treated with directed attitude despite that fact. In no way am I entitled to that reciprocated behavior, it was just extremely rude of them to respond in such a manner to someone who's giving you business. When I got home, I was even more disappointed with this particular Wendy's establishment- I requested extra pickles on my sandwich (did not get them) l, I requested a small cup of mayonnaise (which I also did not get), and the most disappointing thing of all was the sandwich I ordered, they jus put a chicken patty in between two slices of bread. Like what the fuck??? This experience is enough to make me NEVEr want to go back- I'd rather drive my ass all the way to San Lorenzo for the Wendy's on Hesperian (which is WAY nicer, cleaner, and has exceptional customer service) if this is the way this establishment is going to treat their clientele. read more

We saw a commercial for sweet potatoes at Wendy's, and we had to check that out. It comes as a whole potato, cut in half, with the option of some kind of butter-like topping, that we skipped. The potato was good, but seemed a bit too sweet. Either it was naturally that way or maybe they add a spoonful of sugar. We also got their mac and cheese, which was excellent. It is about $2.50. I'd go back just for that; mmmm! Since we didn't just want carbs, we ordered a burger and a grilled chicken sandwich. A long time ago i used to get those chicken sandwiches and enjoyed them. This time it seemed to lack much flavor beyond salt. The sweet mustard sauce is where the flavor is. The server was friendly and attentive and even joked with me as kept changing my mind on what to order. He made sure i had a tall cup of ice water, too. read more

Stopped by this location after picking up a buddy of mine from the San Leandro Bart station nearby. We came here because it seemed that all the food places in the surrounding area were closing soon. We came through the drive through and I instantly regretted it because it was about 6 cars deep when we arrived, which was understandable. I'm aware that every fast food restaurant is typically busy after 10 pm. When we finally got to the order window, we were greeted with "give me a moment". It didn't upset me at all, I understand, I used to work food service back in the day. We placed our order and there were no complications throughout the whole transaction. I went to this location for lunch and was served a rancid frosty. I called the store from my job to tell them to throw it out so people don't get sick, but no one answered. After the 3rd call I went back to the store,confirmed the phone number with Veronica and asked for my money for my order to be refunded. She only wanted to refund the frosty, even after I explained that the frosty was rancid and ruined my appetite. She made a scene about giving me the rest of my money and says "Since you NEED the $11 so bad". I went back to work and my stomach was bubbling. Personally, I am a fan of Wendy's. Also manager lied about there not being any more potatoes she just didn't want to say what another employee said, that it would take 3 mins. if I wanted to wait. So I got a single burger with cheese and the regular toppings. There were no other toppings! At least the chicken nuggets the manager suggested I take I place of the potatoes that they "did not have" were delicious. Hopefully it was just one of those days. And I knew something was wrong because my bag was already ready when I got up to the drive-thru and there was nobody in the line. What a joke! Every time I go there something else is wrong. Last night when I handed my credit card in the drive-through I asked for a receipt. I didn't get one when she handed my card back. When she opened the window to give me the food she said it is in the bag. When I got to work there was no receipt in the bag... (I get food reimbursed through work when I am on the road but not without a receipt). Second time this happened there this month... Last week I ordered the chicken strips combo at the drive through and when I got to the window I was told it takes too long and should drive around and come in. Did that and had to wait another 15 minutes at the counter before I got my food. Twice they forgot to add the sauce for the chicken strips although I asked for it, same when I ask in the drive-through to add ketchup to my order. I am done going there, always some kind of issue! read more

I have given this Wendy's many chances and every time I want to kick myself because they burn me again but it is close to home and more convenient than the other locations. I can live with the occasional missing item at the drive thru and there is usually at least one thing missing on every visit. But there are more problems than that. I only pay cash at this location because my debit card number was lifted and used after one visit. I know it was from Wendy's because it was on a card that I use only for fast food type transactions. I had not used that card for at least a week before using it at Wendy's. It was used at a parking garage within a few hours of my visit to Wendy's. They attempted to use it at a Starbucks the same day for $50 but was declined because there was not enough money in the account to cover it. Wendy's is the only place I used the card. I only caught it because I checked the balance on that card the next day and found the parking garage charge. I called to tell them but they were not receptive at all. They kept telling me that it was not possible and acted like I was making it up. I didn't want anything from them but I wanted management to know there are a problem. Management didn't care. I go to other Wendy's (usually Castro Valley or San Lorenzo) at least once a week and buy 4 small chilies as they are low calorie, filling and inexpensive. At the San Leandro location they are only half full. I am aware they are not filled to the top to allow for cheese and onions but this is way less than the other locations. The other problem with the chili at this location is the lack of beans or meat. It is little more than red liquid with a couple beans and specks of meat thrown in. You have to load it up with crackers so you have something other than liquid in your spoon, which takes away the low calorie part. I swear each time I will not go back but as I said it is close to home and more convenient than the other locations. I guess I will keep driving to the other locations. read more

Guys be careful when using your credit card in the drive-thru okay! We paid with a credit card and instead of being changed $17.44, we were charged $18, and the girl at the drive-thru window did not give me change even though it says on the receipt that I was supposed to receive 56 cents back. But I checked my credit card account and it said that they only charged me $17.44, which was completely different from my receipt. I'm not sure, I'm just assuming that maybe they're cheating their system and taking cents to themselves. Make sure to always check the receipts before leaving. Also we paid $17.44 for a burnt bacon portobello burger and a double bacon burger. They did not even give us a condiment! It's so expensive! read more

I had been to this branch a few times to get my frosty, spicy chicken nuggets and burgers fix from Wendy's. However, the food is really bad, not cooked fresh made to order. The buns are thicker than what you buy from your grocery store. The burger tasted mehh... I had better burgers from other locations like the one in Auto Mall Parkway. And the temperature of their food is lukewarm. Although the staff are friendly and nice. The food is mehh.... doesn't take care of temperatures on their food, and it wasn't serve hot. The food came out too quickly like less than 1 minute. Food is 1/5. They took my order right every time but didn't care for it because it wasn't hot enough and not made to order. It has been standing for quite a while in their hot plates. On the other hand, I liked they served me coke with extra ice. Coke tasted how it should be. Service is 3/5 Ambience is 2.5/5. Went in tonight at around 10:45pm through the drive thru, was served by a heavyset woman by the name of "Maria" She had a VERY hard time concentrating on taking our order, was more than likely playing/texting on her cell phone because we could not only hear it but she asked us to repeat parts of the order MULTIPLE times and STILL got it wrong. Ordered a MEDIUM vanilla frosty...was given a small, was told she heard small, charged for small, and when we asked her she got pissy and said we can get a medium, gave her the change for the medium, walks around the corner for about 3-5 seconds it seemed only for her to return with the same cup and tell us it was a medium. We asked/confronted her about it and she insisted it was/is a medium, I looked online only to find that what she gave us is indeed a small, the way to tell was the white ring around the bottom of the cup, mediums DON'T have that big of a ring or one at all. I've been a customer of this wendy's for YEARS, a few hiccups here and there but THIS is depressing to have to not only type but to experience.
