Let's break this down because the window guy didn't want to invest the time to comprehend what I was trying to tell them. Maybe management will give me their undivided attention. So here it is in a nutshell. For whatever reason they surcharged large fries in my combo by $1.00. Then charged me an additional $1.98 for small fries. But the small fries are included in the #2 meal so there is no $1.00 surcharge in the meal because ordered small fries and there should be no $1.98 for small fries added to my receipt because they're include in the $8 and change #2 meal. $1.00 surcharge for the large fries $1.98 charge for the small fries That's over charge of $3.98. Now let's not forget the over inflated Santa Monica tax of 10%. That's another .40 cents. This is how Wendy's stays in business. $4.38 for items I didn't order. Now maybe someone will fix the issue because giving me $1 back when I am owed almost $5 is criminal. My French fries were soggy and the meal did not taste as fresh as it should of. This location is pretty busy too, so that might be a reason? I asked the woman for the burger plain and that there was a weird question but asked if I could reuse the cup I got earlier because I'm trying to reduce the waste I'm creating when I go to places like this. She told me to wait a moment then after a couple minutes told me to pull up. She already had my drink ready when I'd already asked her if I could not do that. Terrible service...On two occasions back to back, I ordered the Parmesan chicken salad half size as my lunch. The first time I specifically asked for crispy chicken instead of grilled and I received grilled. The second time I asked for the same thing but upon sitting down for lunch I realize they did not give me any bread crumbs or Caesar salad dressing. Like what the hell? Really Wendy's. Just went to Taco Bell and ordered a burrito and taco, paid, and received it in 1 minute. Nothing is ever ready at this Wendy's. Nobody is ever ready to make anything and they can't manage multiple orders at the same time. Takes at least 20 minutes to get food with 2 people ahead of you and 5 people working. The customer service at this Wendy's is as bad as it gets. I have to go here now and then as it is close to home and kids like Wendy's. The problem is that if you order more than three or four items you have ZERO (and no I am not exaggerating) chance of getting your order correct. Sometimes it is an order of fries, or just some condiments, but seriously, how hard is it for the guy at the window to check your order? Apparently, it ranks about even with putting a man on Mars, because Wendy's Santa Monica cannot do it. My favorite is the confidence displayed by the person at the window. "Did you check this? Then you get home, and have to explain to your kids why their happy meal did not come with a frosty, or they have to split their fries with grandpa etc. Today I got the taco salad with no chips, and the chicken nuggets without BBQ sauce. Let me restart, the fries we ordered was covered in salt. I think someone played a practical joke with the french fries guy and didn't tighten the salt shaker. The burgers were all previously cooked because they were dry like cardboard. They just added the cheese, tomato, slice pickles and slap the buns on. They were by far one of the worst burgers I've ever had in my life. $3.69 for a single burger which is roughly double the price of In-n-Out. Service was fast. They gave us all the sauces we wanted. Service was very courteous. Honestly, when it comes to fast-food, it's about the food. Let's just put it that the three people that ate at Wendy's for their first time in their lives all agreed that it shall be their last.
