Lobby did not show signs of life, so I called. Yelp had the wrong phone number for the store, but I checked on-line and got the correct one. Social distancing is being practiced so some tables/booths will not be available. While my wife, gBaby, and I ordered, in walked another couple of guys. There was a very young and learning young man behind the counter. He took a while to get the order but it was rung in correctly. The food was all hot, even the fries, except my wife's salad. We dined in a clean dining room, trash receptacles were clean (I'd bet not used much since the re-opening from COVID-19). I did not check out the men's rest room. I go to this location often and get my favorite meal. the 4 for $4 with a double stack and a frosty. but melissa C. (not her last initial but describes her) decided she's manager and doesn't serve wendys signature beverage with the best deal they have. anyways I will admit i did say "fuck it I'll have chilli instead" in a casual manor, she took it very badly and told me to get food somewhere else and proceeded to close the window and ignore me. This was my worst experience ever at a Wendy's. I sat at the register while being told " we'll be with you in a minute" multiple times. 10 minutes rolls around and I've heard it at least 5 times now. Horrible service and sanitation. Bought 3 orders of fries, they were cold. Asked for fresh fries, clerk got me the fresh fries but took the cold fries I had touched, put them back into the tray to be served to other customers. Also put the containers back into the sleeve that hold them for future use. I emailed the general manager about this, listed in the receipt and as of today, no reply. This happened on March 9, 2019. This is place shocks me that it even continues to stay in business. It his rock bottom with me this weekend. Knowing it's incredibly slow, I opted to order ahead on their app .... that went pleasantly well. I got an email confirmed "your order has been started, click here let us know when you have arrived at this location". Go to Wendy's was rudely told they don't do online orders. The app took my order, confirmed my order by sending me an email, AND charged my credit card. I was shocked. The manger told me to go to the other Wendy's on Archer that my order probably went there. I called 1-888 number spoke to a nice guy explained the problem he asked for my email, and he confirmed yep I placed an order to pick up at the Main Street location. He called that store while I was put on hold & I drove back to that location. He then explained to me that that indeed this Wendy's location isn't set to take on line orders. He said someone would contact me & they'd issue a refund. Ok. I still need food intended to just order while I was there.... I was thanking the Wendy's guy on the phone when the the neck tattoo manager rudely comes to the window and says "what'd you want" I motioned to my phone she is aware who I am and that I'm taking to 1-888 on the phone ..... she slammed the drive thru window shut in my face and bad mouths me Loudly to the other employees, the phone guys hears her and asks what is happening I explain he apologizes and says can I have a area manager contact you. I don't know what's happened to both Wendy's in Troy. The one on Main could usually be counted on, as the one on Archer is the last place I would try to go. You'll wait 20 -30 min in the drive through. Today I got a half size chicken pecan salad. He gets the salad and dressing but no toppings. He's helping someone else so I wait. Can I get the toppings for my salad I ask? No, unfortunately they are out. Of anything. So I paid full price for partial ingredients. It's not life altering, and a minor inconvenience, but had I known I would have ordered something else. And to charge you full price on top. When I got up to the speaker I was greeted and told I would be helped shortly.. after waiting at least 5 minutes if not more the car behind me sped out of the line and finally she came back on the speaker and said what can I get you. Let me just start by saying - genuinely nice people are extremely uncommon in today's society. It was 10:30 pm on a Saturday night and they were pretty busy. Even though people were constantly pulling in through the drive thru, the two women at the register made sure we had everything we needed and then informed us that our chicken was going to be a 4 minute wait (not a big deal at all!) and they gave us extra for being so patient and understanding!!! Man I liked Wendy's until I came to this Wendy's... Now I love Wendy's. The place smelt of my two favorite smells hard work and meat. I skipped into Wendy's that day as I am a fan of skipping because it is the superior way to travel on foot. I found a place to sit and removed both my swimsuits leaving me only in my onesie pj's. Now that I was comfy and stylish I proceeded to the front counter to place my order. When I saw to handsome young men. I thought man I came for beef patties not beef cakes.
