Weng's delivers so whoo hoooo! The menu is interesting with items listed like Sweet and Sour, then you can make it chicken, beef, shrimp, scallop or combo, and that applies to a lot of different dishes. Sweet and sour is good because there is not tons of breading. Lettuce wraps are good too. We like a lot of the dishes, Sesame Shrimp, Sweet and Sour, (sweet and sour shrimp is like fried fantail shrimp and you dip it into their sweet and sour sauce). The Triple Delight Sizzling Platter has brown sauce, but Triple Delight hot pot has white sauce. Broccoli needs a tad more cooking in alot of the dishes. Love it when there are bean sprouts in a dish, wish there were more of them. Not crazy about the regular egg rolls, pretty flavorless. We like General Tso's except the chicken chunks are HUGE and would be better if they were smaller. Their Moo Shu was not a hit, cabbage is way to finely shredded for our taste, I know it sounds weird, but it was just not good that way. Seafood egg rolls are unusual, they appear to be a thin wrapper, rice or wonton, with whole shrimp and slices of green onions, open ended; good, but greasy. Crab puffs are very good, usually crispy, but sometimes not, like the oil is old or something. Family members say Mongolian Beef was very good with bean sprouts and onions in a thin teryaki sauce. Anyway, we don't live far, and delivery has been really fast. Orders are always right. Oh yeah, they have this combo fried rice that is really good, it has the usual onions, rice, egg, BUT it has a lot of thin strips of meat, chicken, beef, pork pieces and a few large shrimp. It is very good :-) We'd love to see mix and match dinner specials though, sometimes it's a little pricey to get the 2 apps we love and two entrees and rice. I was just in town for the weekend to hang out at Lake Conroe and decided to grab some Chinese food. I had been to the Olive Garden the night before and saw this restaurant near by, it looked nice from the outside so I decided I would try it the next day. Around 7:30 pm on a Thursday night I called to make my order, it was Kung Pao Chicken with white rice and an order of egg rolls. I will preface my next comments by saying that I eat ALOT of Chinese food and because of that my standards are high. That being said the Kung Pao was subpar on my levels. One was the chicken, they were not quality cuts of meat and did not taste fresh at all. Second was the sauce, it was very runny. Runny like when I opened the dish it looked like I had ordered Kung Pao Soup. Overall the Kung Pao chicken was quite bad. I would not order this dish again. The egg rolls were also a big disappointment. My expectations for egg rolls are at the very least for them to be crispy. These came out soggy and the insides were mushy. The egg rolls tasted frozen to be honest. All in all I will not be returning to this restaurant and I would definitely not recommend it to anyone looking for decent Chinese food. They need to seriously revamp there food quality and recipes. Also when I walked in at 7:30 on a Thursday night, the place was absolutely empty! Should have been my first sign. read more

Great food. Staff are always friendly. Highly recommend the tofu on sizzling platters if you're cutting down on meat! The coconut curry with tofu is also fantastic. They'll let you have fried tofu on anything in place of meat! read more

Stopped in on a quite Thursday evening and had excellent service. Portions are very generous ( will get 2 dinners out of one visit). We ordered the moo soo pork and pad Thai, both were very good. Just ordered delivery. Food wasn't so good. Got three lunch specials. Mongolian beef, pepper shrimp and orange chicken. Delivery was fast but I give the food a 4 out of 10. Noodles were dry and mostly veggies instead of meat. We got like 3 prices of shrimp, most of it was onions and the veggies wernt cooked well. This is the best option for Chinese food in Conroe that I have found. The delivery option is great and makes it stand out from the rest. They use white meat chicken for most of their dishes which is a big deal for me. They can be a bit heavy on the sauce and the soup is just mediocre, but this is still much better than the competition in the area. I have been there many times before and both the food and service has been great. Today I went and was extremely disappointed. The service was terrible. After I was seated I waited 15 minutes for a server to take my drink order before I walked out. I had tried to get the seating hostess' attention multiple times and she looked away when I made eye contact with her. I approached the front counter and she mouthed to me "I'll be right with you" so I went back to my table. Two other tables who were seated AFTER me had their drink and food orders taken so I left. I believe they have some new staff and they are terrible. They better get their act together as I won't be going back if this continues. Very disappointed. read more

My wife & I were really looking forward to some good Chinese delivery. We'd had a nice day & thought a little special fried rice & some steamed dumplings would be a tasty capper. Weng's was only place, near us, open & reviews seemed solid. We thought it'd be, at least, enjoyable. We was wrong. Their fried rice's NOTHING but rice & meat. No egg, no bean sprouts, not a SINGLE veggie! Just plain ol' rice & meat. It tasted... ok. But, still. Who cares? It was bland as bland can be! The dumplings were the same. Meh, at best. We're sorely disappointed & won't be calling them again, except to complain about tonight's meal. That's truly sad, as my wife & I HATE to complain. Hate it. We respect how hard people work in restaurant industry. We've both worked in it, at various times, for years altogether. But, man, this place was a real bummer. My office ordered from Weng's for lunch and we gave them a pretty big order. My meal was supposed to come with a container of Fried Rice. Only one person ordered her own fried rice. This means, we should have gotten two containers of fried rice. We only got one. Because it was a large order, it's easy to understand and forgive when something gets messed up, right? No big deal. But when I called to explain this error, the man on the phone argued with me that everything had been included. I stated again that my rice was missing. So he checked with the kitchen and told me everything had been packed correctly. I tried to explain to him several times that a container of fried rice was missing--there should have been two, but only one was delivered--but he only argued with me instead of simply sending over another container of rice. My meal, minus the rice, was shrimp and broccoli drowning in a very sweet brown sauce. The shrimp was delicious. The broccoli, well, there were only a few small pieces. The sauce, too much and too sweet--especially without RICE to balance the flavor. The wonton soup was bland and meh. The eggroll, good. Bottom line, I just spent $20 on a meal that should have lasted me at least two, had everything been included in my order, and I would NOT recommend ordering delivery from here, since the customer service is atrocious if something gets left out. They just lost a lot of customers from my office, not just me, because of this. read more

My wife and I stopped here for lunch last week while on our way to visit a friend in Conroe. We were greeted by a very pleasant female hostess who asked if we preferred a booth or a table. We chose a table. We were each handed a menu which was very well presented with many choices. We chose to have water with our meal which arrived quickly and ice cold. We ordered off of the lunch special menu. My wife selected orange chicken. Since I did not see cashew chicken on the lunch menu and it is one of my favorites I asked our waiter if it was available. He said it could be provided as a lunch special entree. Our lunch menu selections included soup and an egg roll. We chose wonton for our soup. The wonton soup was exquisite. The wontons were fresh made and the broth was very flavorful. The egg roll was made to perfection. The egg rolls were served with a small split side dish which contained the traditional hot mustard and duck sauce. I have eaten in many Chinese restaurants and I must say both the soup and the egg roll were one of the best I have ever had. We also ordered crab puffs for an appetizer. They were well made with plenty of cream cheese and green onions. They were cooked to perfection and were very flavorful. Again, one of the best i ever had. The entrees came out on square wavy dishes. The presentation was extremely nice especially for a lunch entree. We both chose fried rice with our meal. Both of our dishes were hot, cooked to perfection and very tasty. The portions of the entrees were more than adequate served with a large scoop of rice on the side. We ended up taking about half of our entrees with us which we enjoyed again the next day. Our total bill came to around $22 with tip which was reasonable considering the amount of food we were given. The only negative comment I can make is that our waiter made very few trips back to our table to see if we had any concerns or if there was anything else he could get us. Other than that I would rate this place an A+. I would highly recommend Weng's Wok. This little nugget of a Chinese restaurant tucked away in the strip mall across from JC Penny's at Exit 90 off I45 is well worth the try. We are sure you will not be disappointed. This is a great little place. One of my sales guys comes up from 1960 for lunch meetings because it is so good. It is as the other reviews say " your usual suspects", but they are a little bit better than any other place I have been. The dinner plates are so big my wife and I split the meal and we both get plenty, so the price for dinner is a better deal than getting lunch, if there are two of you. I think the reason for the average review from Megan must be because she had take-out. Even if you live close to the place it is still at least 20 min before you are eating at your house. When i get a Super Burger in Willis (another one of my favorite places) it is MUCH better there than if I wait an bring it home. Give this place a try and eat there the first time. Terrible service! Went to this place for the first time for lunch My mother got a some sort of soup and I got sweet and sour chicken. My mother is allergic to gluten so she asks if the soup used wheat noodles or rice noodles the waitress said rice so my mom ordered it. When we got our food the noodles did not look like Rice noodles but my mother wasn't going to take a chance so she sent it back. My mom was in a hurry so she couldn't order anything else but when we got the check they charged us for the soup. I ask the manager why they charged us for a soup we didn't eat? He said that they didn't tell us about the allergy until after we ordered it and that he couldn't take it back and had to charge us no matter what. We had told our waitress about the food allergy before we even ordered! However the manager continued to argue with me for 5 minutes. Horrible service!!! Ordered food from them to be delivered and they said it would take 45 min to be delivered and it took 2.5 hours!!! Every time we called they said it would be there in 10 min!!! When they showed we told them that we already ate because it was almost 9:00 at night and our kids had to go to bed!!! They just said ok! Will NEVER go there or order from them again!!!! read more

Ordered food today and had it delivered to our house. The containers are covered in someone's chewed up gum. It's disgusting. I called in to complain and the lady basically spent 10 minutes calling me a liar and saying that it's impossible and that none of the workers there chew gum. Then she said she'd send someone down here to pick the food up, take it all the way up there, then remake it and bring it back. Wengs Wok is absolutely the WORST excuse for Chinese food in Texas.Uniformly bad service, and an "I don't care whether you like it or not, just pay the ticket" type attitude.The food is unimaginative, and usually overcooked. We ordered Broccoli Beef and it came to our table literally swimming in the sauce ( a vain attempt to hide the burnt Broccoli ?), the Sweet and Sour Chicken's coating was so doughy it was inedible.
