After my family acquired an investment rental property in the city of Burbank in 2017, we also inherited four laundry machines that were not serviced by any company unlike the rest of our other laundry machines. This posed a problem when maintenance was needed (our other laundry vendor wouldn't touch them because it wasn't their equipment) but especially at this time when the per-load rates were woefully low. They do not take property damage or a poor job seriously. Instead of apologizing, the manager said to me, "I bet it looks better than it did before." In their response here, calling what I wrote a "characterization" just shows that they don't listen to or believe their customers. They also said that offering a refund for the cleaning was "fair." I would agree if they hadn't damaged my unit, but they did. The pieces that were broken off were from the inside and outside of the unit and what clips it on. The unit cover had never been removed until the technician removed it, so it is impossible that it occurred at any other time. I also have a before and after photo (the after that they took) of the unit where the damage is not present before. I filed a complaint with the BBB about the property damage since they refuse to take accountability. read more

Please see my previous review for all the trouble this company caused us. Also pls see pictures attached. They installed a WINDOW air conditioner unit into our wall. ONLY WALL air conditioners are supposed to be installed into WALLS. A six year old would know better!!! Heck even a half brained garden slug with the IQ of 0 would have known better. This window unit made our entire wall and door frame vibrate and rattle so LOUD for WEEKS AND WEEKS TOTALLING OVER ENTIRE MONTH!!!! IT was excruciatingly LOUD to where it could be heard and felt throughout the entire home. Many nights we couldnt sleep but still had to get up and go to work in the mornings. We suffered from headaches and complaints from neighbors. Our babies cried and were constantly scared. The unit had something else wrong too bc the compressor would turn on and off every 5 minutes NONSTOP and after 3 days the red filter light came on. These guys refused to come back and fix this at first and we had to get a Samsung LG tech to come out and tell us that this is the WRONG KIND OF AC THAT IT IS A WINDOW UNIT IN OUR WALL!! This was after an ENTIRE MONTH of suffering lack of sleep and headaches from the CONSTANT noise from West Coast Chief Repair's crappy air conditioner. FINALLY West Coast Chief came back and removed their junky ac unit this last Tuesday 29. OCT 2024! So since West Coast Chief Repair wants to flat out LIE and deny ever having serviced our unit now that there is a negative review, so they can try to get this review removed. I have gone ahead and attached the emails between our Management Company as proof/verification. Also included a screen shot of their phone call message. And in addition, I have gone ahead and made a SECOND one star review. I was going to let it go because one of the techs did apologize as an afterthought on his way out after taking their air con back but since Michael B wants to respond on here by LYING and denying I have gone ahead with another bad review. These guys are the most honest and real repairman that I've experienced in a really long time. We have American Home Shield and our fridge went out almost 2 months ago! Seven repair man later, these guys come in, take the time to listen to me and the problems we're having. The other six repairman were completely rude. Wouldn't allow me to talk,were on the phone when they showed up and kept giving me the finger that they were talking and to be quiet. Some of them told me that the fridge was working, they didn't understand why we called them but also didn't allow me to explain because they would be rude and just cut me off. Most of them said they couldn't fix my problem because it was a close circuit fridge. We would've had to pay out-of-pocket to have another company drill a permanent hole in our fridge to recharge the coolant. But they weren't even sure if it was the problem they were just guessing. When I asked what happens if we drill a hole and it's not the problem, they threw their hands up and said "idk"! These are the people that are insurance company is sending to our house! Most of them were here for five minutes and one Tool at the most. We did look up those other companies after they left and they have one stars so explains a lot . Why American Home Shield has affiliation with six other repair companies with 1 or no stars is baffling. When West Coast Chief Repair showed up this week, I thought it was gonna be another rude, inconsiderate repair man. Much to my surprise, He was sweet, helpful, and the person who in my eyes saved us, by finally threw us a life ring. He had a bag of tools, knee pads and his uniform looked like he was actually working. He also had working hands. That should've been my first indication with the other six repair man, their hands were softer than my little nieces hands. Their hands were so pretty and soft they could've been hired on the spot as a hand model. We don't ask for much, we pay out-of-pocket for almost everything. The one time we needed our insurance company, they did everything they could to not help us. They just continued to make us jump through more hoops. Who can afford to eat out right now?! I would give zero stars if I could. WEST COAST CHIEF REPAIR, INC. has been the absolute worst company I've ever dealt with for an appliance repair. My range hood has been broken for three months, and they have completely mishandled the repair from the start. The technician came out in January, assessed the issue, and ordered a part. The first time he scheduled a follow-up, he never showed up during the stated time. When he came back the next week, he told me the wrong part was ordered. Fast forward another month, I was told they had the correct part and scheduled an appointment for today. I took time off work and waited all day, only to find out--at the last minute--that the technician wasn't coming because they ordered the wrong part AGAIN. This company is completely unprofessional, unreliable, and clearly has no respect for their customers' time. I have been without a working range hood for three months, making it impossible to cook in my kitchen without setting off alarms. Their incompetence has caused nothing but frustration, wasted time, and still no resolution. Do yourself a favor and avoid this company at all costs. If your warranty company assigns them to your case, demand a different provider immediately. **Update** The GM, Shawn, called me. He started by saying he had seen my reviews and wanted to "clarify" the timeline of getting warranty approvals, essentially blaming the delays on the approval process. He also mentioned that an additional part had to be ordered after the first repair (no repairs have been done). I understand how warranty approvals work. My frustration has never been about the process, it's that this repair should have been completed by now and this company has shown ZERO regard for my time. Instead of taking responsibility, Shawn tried to shift the blame to the manufacturer, claiming they sent the wrong part. However, the service tech told me himself that the wrong part was ordered. If this company actually cared about customer service, they would have expedited the correct part and sent a tech out immediately to fix the issue. Instead, Shawn gave me no timeline and had little to say once I pointed out the inconsistencies. This could have been handled so much better. Instead, it just reinforced my initial review. If you're dealing with them, be prepared for delays, excuses, and zero accountability. read more

Alexsandr the technician was at first demanding in terms of initial clean-up of accumulated overflow of water in the washer asking for rags, a pail of water for rinsing and cleaning. He even broke the handle of my broom brush, sweeping off the water overflow from the washer. I have used West Coast Chief Repair many times over several years for maintaining and repairing our gas wall heaters and commercial washers and dryers on our rental properties. These are small appliances so repairs tend to be expensive in general, but I find West Coast Chief Repair very easy to schedule, they tend to be available within days, their technicians are professional and get the job done in a timely manner, and their billing and payment process is smooth (with the ability to pay over the phone or online). They have a central call center so that someone always picks up the phone. I've also gone through them to purchase and install new commercial washers and dryers, which is a lot easier than shopping around myself.
