They finally called me! And we had a nice chat. Things are difficult during this pandemic....

I have adopted three healthy, wonderfully socialized cats from WCDC. I couldn't be happier to have this rescue group in our area.

Thank goodness I'm not in a wheelchair, but for those that are, be aware of that. When we got in the store, we noticed it is very disorganized and was cluttered. It also didn't have a very pleasant odor. We went in specifically looking for clothes and bows for my dog, but sadly they had a very small section and everything was disorganized, no bows either(which was fine). I only ended up getting a nylabone and flea meds for my cat. When we got up to the register line, there was only one cashier for a line of about 10 people, he didn't call for an extra clerk. Maybe he couldn't, but the store had several other employees doing random stuff, or just walking around. The cashier was very nice though and didn't seem stressed or overwhelmed. The only reason I gave the store 2 stars is because of the cashier and his professional composure. He greeted us when we got to the register and said have a nice day upon leaving the store. Unfortunately I do not recommend this store as it's very disorganized, cluttered and the lack of another clerk to help with the long line.

I went back later in the day around 8pm to get an alternate dog food, and decided to look at the birds again. Both larger birds were in the same exact position, food and water untouched. So if you want to support animal cruelty, head on down to your local PetCo and buy a neglected, sickly, depressed bird for the low price of $799.99. Fish tanks full of dead floating fish too if interested. You will also not find "in stock" items, but that seems less important than caring for your "products".

First I had an aging dog, then I rescued a kitten, and now I have a puppy: at every stage, these folks have given a great advice. I want to give a specific shout out to April for always being so kind. She was just the hand I needed written times. And their prices are reasonable too!

This particular store however, clean- bright- smells good and pro staff that are smart, fast and friendly. Makes the shopping experience a 10! I'm thrilled I can find everything I need in one place. I'm a loyal customer now. Have 4 picky diva cats, one happy red heeler pup- they sell all quality food for tight budgets all the way to top shelf needs. I'm not sure if they have prescription diet though, maybe call before. Prices are competitive if not sometimes a tad bit more but they offer a punch card. Honestly, even if they didn't offer that, I'd gladly pay the small difference to shop where you feel they care about your experience and time. Thank you MPM for giving me a place to go and get away from ..... :) Side note: The location is a bit of a puzzle at first for entry and depart. On a fast street with blind corner, once you figure it out though, it's not an issue.

The place is extremely clean, no smell and the cats are well cared for. The owner however is a nightmare. Michelle is the most UNWELCOMING person and a deterrent to visiting this place. She has a manic energy and is a complete control freak and outright rude. She'll give you a long list of things you cannot do, like wake the cats up, scratch their belly or hold a cat wand toy too high. they have fewer rules at Disneyland. You know your perception of weird cat lady? She's that! Honestly if I found a cat I wanted to adopt I'd think twice before wanting to deal with her as a liaison for the rescues. She's totally off putting. Once you're in the "lounge" she'll eagle eye you by coming in and sitting at a table and watch you interact with the cats, even though there is a huge glass window and she can see everything from her front desk. It's very uncomfortable and I did not have an enjoyable time. I was previewing this business in hopes of bringing friends here, but I'll pass. I am glad they have been able to adopt out a good number of cats and the place could be fun and enjoyable if she'd back off and learn some etiquette. If I were a cat I'd hiss at her...

I've always thought Springfield and Eugene would benefit from having a cat café especially since there's a lot animal lovers and there's a lot of places to do. but the variety of things do, is much needed for the area. I thought it would be great especially from a mental health advocate point of view too, stress free for people to enjoy. [Location, Space & staff] I really love that the space was clean and well organized. it wasn't too small of a space. staff was friendly, helpful, and informative. I also love the fact that you can adopt the cats which is great so they could find homes. I really love the location because it's not too close to Autzen but on the familiar road to! I think the location is nearly perfect, as there's plenty of space to park. I definitely think it's so worth it to visit and spend an hour with these cats. I definitely am interested in the frequent visitor pass! [Drinks & snacks] Springfield Cat Lounge offered a few local beverages which I appreciate. They also had a variety of snacks, which I really loved since it's very inclusive for different dietary needs. I particularly love the Boba tea protein bar!! Never seen anything like it! [Merch] Shirts blankets tote bags and other cat related items or souvenirs are available to buy and in plenty! Also has local art and jewelry! I found most items were reasonably priced. [Note about rules] Only one thing I was not entirely happy about was when I saw there wasn't a reinforcement of rules, in the cat lounge area. Particularly the rule of not waking up any napping cats;about halfway into my visit, A couple came in and they were just waking up all the napping cats which I didn't appreciate. Part since it's a rule that was told by staff and I felt bad for the cats as they were napping, and then somebody put their hand in front of their faces.. [Events and more activities!] They offer doing knitting and occasionally other activities for an hour some part of the weeks, as part of their weekly events. So far, it has been the same price as a regular visit admission, which I really love! Overall, definitely looking forward to being a frequent visitor and keep on supporting this wonderful amazing local business!! Note the only other cat cafe in Oregon is in Bend. The one in Portland sadly closed I beli I visited the week of April 20th 2024, not sure why my review didn't post : ( so if there's any changes please keep that in mind.
