Great experience. As a 23 year L322 owner, I've accepted the challenges of ownership in order to enjoy the benefits of this chassis. I had a local shop in NorCal that I'd used for 15+ years that wasn't a LR specialist, but they were very competent and honest. In 2022 I moved to the Coachella Valley where I've found limited service options. I've had my truck serviced in the desert a few times, but never felt "great" about the experience despite the shop's experience with LR's. My truck needed some work, and after experiencing so-so service locally, I decided to reach out to WCR. I had initially communicated with Jeff via email in 2022 to discuss/understand the signs/symptoms of the wide-spread timing chain tensioner problem on my 5.0L engine. My sense was that I had some time to make a decision, and Jeff was very open and helpful in giving his educated opinion.  Fast forward 3 years and I was having a first ever AC issue, and I just didn't want to try the local shop again. So I took the plunge and drove a 2+ hrs to WCR. Great decision. Jeff and Andrew were great to work with. They were practical and understood my concerns. They clearly know their stuff. We discussed the "have to" and "want to" repairs and on this first visit just did the "have to" items. However, in the week+ between when I made the appointment and when I drove to WCR, I decided to purchase a new vehicle, mainly because of the concern that my 15yr old RR was no longer a practical/reliable daily driver. In the end, I was very pleased with my WCR experience. My communications with Jeff and Andrew were excellent, and, in my opinion, indicative of trustworthy partners. Should I elect to keep my L322 for fun, I'd certainly have it serviced at WCR despite the drive. read more

Amazing service from Andrew. I took my car in for a second opinion after one place told me I needed a $5,000 major repair. Andrew diagnosed the same issue and suggested I go to the dealership to try to get it covered by warranty. He even tried to call the dealership for me to take care of it but their system was down. Weeks later I was able to get the dealership to replace that and the thermostat under warranty saving me about $8,000! I'll be honest: My experience has been these guys are everything a mechanic/shop should be, straight up, to the point, extremely knowledgeable, accountable, trustworthy. A lot of shops cash in on servicing European cars but at the end of the day are just as likely to throw their hands up as anybody. I had previously gone to a Range Rover dealer multiple times to get my car serviced and was tired of the not-so-nice employees that overcharged for services (I get it...Range Rovers). They do specialize in Land Rover vehicles but they were able to service my Jaguar F-Pace (similar to a RR Velar). They did a scheduled factory maintenance which included and oil change, replaced cabin filter, replaced spark plugs, transfer case service. They also checked belts and hoses. read more

Can't thank the gents (Jeff and Andy) at West Coast Rovers enough for their high quality service and care. I described to Jeff that the headlight switch on my 1994 LR D90 recently stopped working and he astutely anticipated the issue and ordered the correct headlamp switch before even setting eyes on my vehicle! On top of that, Jeff ordered my requested/desired suspension upgrade (Bilstein shocks and OME ARB Medium Coil Springs from Atlantic British) and did a very clean install. I own a few rovers and with that have had my share of unethical dishonest LR shops around OC. I am always amazed at the degree of unconscious of other shops that think you woke up about a 2 min ago amd try to steal you blind. Well with great frustration last week another mechanic shop in mission Viejo (not the Landrover dealer) trying to charge me for parts that cost $75.00 this shop wanted to charge me a fee of $650.00 for the part illegal & outrageous!!!! That is only one example to get my point how appalling my experience was. So on Friday March 12th, I phoned West Coast Rovers I spoke to Jeff regarding my delima. He took the time to really listen. I then had my Lr3 towed to him shorty. They kept me posted on exactly what was going on. I have no words to express my gratitude to Jeff and his crew they fixed my Lr3 the same day & where extremely honest and highly ethical. The shop is clean & beautiful and organized. Eddie has since left and it's like starting all over again for this place to keep its reputation. Went in for a minor repair and was surprised the Bosch coolant sensor part on Ebay cost $36.50 (the non Bosch was $18.50, Atlantic British $19.50 https://www.roverparts.com/search/coolant-sensor/ ) retail and I was charged $74.50 for the part here plus $149 to change it out. The explanation I got was that it was marked up because of "convenience factor to do my repair on the same day", "time to get the part" and "internet prices is not retail so I cannot compare". Still did not seem to be a reasonable explanation to mark up the part from $36 to $75, especially when the labor for such a minor part swap out is already loaded at $149 (https://spendonauto.com/coolant-temperature-sensor-replacement-cost/). After spending about 30K in this place with the previous owner I guess the new owner, thought my concern over being overcharged on a $36 part is not an issue. You be the judge... read more

We bought our first Jaguar and have been seeking a quality service shop for a bit. Was referred to West Coast Rovers via an ex Pats group on Facebook and are we glad! They specialize in Rovers but also service Jaguars, in fact I heard they just brought a Jag mechanic on board. Win win! When you walk in you immediately feel at home and confident that this group of professionals will provide you with honest quality service and they do. We had our shocks and shock mounts replaced on our XK and added an oil service as well. I was pleased that they noticed a few small things we were already aware of but brought to our attention. As a solid mechanic should! And took the Cat for drive tests to ensure a smooth ride. We are bringing the car back next week for a few more things (if you own a Jag you know what I mean) and I am very happy and confident we've found our new service go to and enjoy good service. So I own a money pit! 2005 Range Rover HSE Love her to death but nevertheless (not so much anymore) because I've totally rebuilt her mechanically at this point. My neighbor recommended Andrew and Eddie and I ventured over today for a minor little issue. I called at 2 and asked if I could come in as I'm giving the truck to my son tomorrow and didn't want to give it to him with anything outstanding. They said come on over. Within 5 minutes of arrival someone was taking care of my girl! Within an hour I was on my way home with my truck tip top functioning condition. I'm on my 9th Rover and know all the issues. I was very pleased with the work performed on my 1997 Range Rover Vitesse. The engine runs smooth and the air system works perfect. They know what they are doing and the service area is very organized. I received a detailed itemized computerized invoice which I really appreciated.
