I'll admit, upon walking in I didn't get my hopes up too high as it felt and looked like another place trying to cash in on the Hot Chicken craze. The menu, although diverse, seemed kind of boring at the same time. The heat levels are just original, mild, spicy, and hot. If youre looking for the rip your B hole spice, you wont find it here, but the hot level is decent enough for me without having to consider my life choices. My wife thought the spicy option was plenty hot, but not unbearable. When the food came out, it all looked great. You know how at some of these places the food just looks kind of slopped together? Not here. Starting off with the chicken sandwich: The chicken was incredibly crispy, not dry but not juicy either. I'm pretty sure this is frozen commercial bought. The pieces of chicken were exactly the same shape. But with that being said this is one of the best hot chicken sandwiches I've had in a long time. The bread was toasted, the chicken was actually crispy, the coleslaw was fresh and actually had crisp and bite (no soggy wet slaw) The fries, again, probably commercially bought. Strangely uniform also in size and shape, but fantastic none the less. Very crispy outside, soft and fluffy on the inside. The wings were deep fried to perfection. "Nashville" just means dry rubbed, but very crispy, not overfried. The best part...not over-priced (6 for $7) My only complaints: They don't have honey (a usual offering at hot chicken joints) And I wish the chicken was a bit bigger to fill the buns (thats what she said) Drinks are not fountain so you might have to ration if the spice is high for you. You are given an option of spicy olive oil (my pick) or hot sauce as a dressing. The burrito was large, piping hot, delicious and left me full for hours. I can't wait to try the next breakfast burrito on the list. Location is last building to the left at the end of the cul de sac. I drove around and past the roundabout to the front parking lot by the water feature. Upon entering the building, walk straight ahead and slightly to the left, you will eventually see the counter. I could only eat half my sandwich, but the second half I saved for a snack later on in the day and it was still yummy. The turkey chili they had on special was so smoky and flavorful, definitely worth a try. A couple small things I noticed and very much appreciated. If you order for here, they will put your food and sides on actual plates with real silverware. They don't just wrap it togo like any other sandwich spot would do regardless if you are eating it there or not. They also immediately give you water cups without requesting one, they are actually full size cups and not the small 6oz children courtesy cups you would normally get. They also let me sample the turkey chili and macaroni salad before committing to a full size order of it. It's the little things like this that leave impressions, aside from the delicious food. Unfortunately this spot is quite the drive from my house, but if you're in the area doing some shopping, they are a must try!

The Pastrami Shop was roughly 7 miles from home, so it was worth the short drive. The place is right off Sunset and Whitney Blvd in Rocklin. It's a very small place so ordering to go is popular. But if you find a seat, definitely enjoy the local vibe of the regulars and talk with the owners for a bit. They really are passionate about their business, and serving their customers. I really enjoyed my half hot pastrami classic sandwich. The bread was toasted, mustard, provolone, and a side of pickles and jalapeños. Boy was it good! I really should have had the full size. The meatballs were tender and flavorful. But I prefer a softer meatball personally. The mushroom risotto was creamy. For the main dish, I went with the Frutti di Mare al Forno. It was packed with seafood and paired beautifully with the pasta.
