Perfect option to eat in my car on the way home because that doesn't work with a salad... When I took the first bite, i was in LOVE!! it was so thin crispy, light and airy, buttery, and so delicious! I took that bite and thought to myself Amy, go right back in and order three more pieces for your drive home. I'm home now, I did not order the extra bread, and I'm kicking myself.- I mean, this was quite possibly the best piece of baked cheesy garlic bread that I've ever had in my whole entire life- that says a lot cause I'm pushing close to a half century now- it was absolutely phenomenal. Tonight, my son and I came here for dinner. I got the BBQ chicken sandwich. He picked mac n cheese and chicken tenders. He didn't want the fries, so I ate them. Lucky me--my sandwich didn't come with any! The sandwich was really good. Chicken was tender, sauce sweet and smoky. Bread soft, not falling apart. Fries were hot and crispy. I finished all of them. My son liked the mac n cheese a lot. Said the chicken tenders were better than most places. He ate everything except the fries. Staff was nice, fast service. Clean space. We sat outside and enjoyed the evening. They dropped a tender on the way to the table but brought us more. We'll come back for sure. read more

Trendy, popular lunch time spot during the week. The line moved fairly quickly for the line. I had the chimichurri steak sandwich, which was flavorful albeit a bit tough to chew. The onion helped balance the heaviness of the meat, but needed the side pickle to round it out. I can't say I could find the chimichurri part of the sandwich. My husband had the brisket plate with sautéed vegetables and mashed potatoes. He found his brisket too dry, but the mashed potatoes were more redeeming. read more

Jacks is always a great go to for my family. Everyone can get what they want here. My favs are the chore bowl, Greek salad, and fried chicken sandwich. They often switch up their menu & have good seasonal offerings. My only complaint is that the side dishes that they keep premade by the register are often dry and either overcooked or undercooked, I typically avoid them. Here we go again. I ordered a Reuben Sandwich. It came with no thousand island (Russian) dressing, no swiss cheese(!), minuscule amount of sauerkraut, tons of whole grain mustard. I was least looking forward to the rye bread but it was the best part, very fresh and not like store bought. They DID remember the corned beef but sheesh, customers, check inside your sandwich before you take a bite. The servers were trying their best to be helpful but it took 2 of them to figure out what Russian dressing is. First time visiting Jacks in a long time! This location is so central and easy to get to! It's on the corner of Sierra College and Douglas in the Safeway shopping center. Lots of parking! The inside is large with lots of seating. High ceilings and good vibes. You order at the counter and then they bring your food out to your table. Sandwiches and made to order salads are the specialties. Our service was meh and our food was just okay. It was $35 for a sandwich and fries, and chicken tenders and fries and 2 waters. They have garlic fries and sweet potato fries in addition to regular fries. The sandwich was very small but tasty - chicken pesto. They give you a number and bring the food. One of the servers brought the totally wrong food and just put it down on our table and left it. I had to bring it back up to the counter. The person taking our order was not friendly or cheerful and made it seem like a chore to help us. Probably won't go back. They used to give you big portions and happy service. If I paid $25 for a salad and received only topping I personally would have refunded the amount spent or provided a gift certificate for the amount spent. Not send a gift certificate for $15. We decided to go at the wrong time, Very busy. we waited in line for about 20 min. they were very nice when taking our order. we had enough time to see what we all wanted ahead of time. My husband ordered the spicy chicken buffalo Sandwich. my son got the pesto sandwich which was delicious. My daughter and I ordered the Club Sandwich with chicken I had avocado in mine my daughter did not. Although honestly there really is no difference I barely got avocado. I couldn't tell or see it, Or even taste that it had avocado. Our food came all 6 to 7 min apart. so the 1st person had to wait for the last person and there were 4 at our table. We also order garlic fries with blue cheese. I can't complain, that was good. Now my food ..... My buns were burnt... I took 1 bite and I had to take it back even the person I gave it to said, "Oh wow I can't believe we gave it out like that I'm so sorry we will remake it. "Yet still, the avocado was sparse. My chicken was dry so was my daughter's sandwich. So we both got sauces for it. I got the cilantro lime and she got BBQ sauce. Much better with sauce. Also they have posted the there was mango ice tea. It was regular black tea. All in all, the portions are small. Especially if we paid $75 for our meal. This place was pretty good! Definitely a good pick for a fast casual joint. We devoured the Urban Fries while waiting for the spicy buffalo sandwich. Thankfully, they let us know it would take about 12 minutes. Once we got it, I wish I had ordered it for myself! Ordered pulled pork sandwich with fries. The sandwich was $12.95 and $3.75 for fries. I asked for the fries crispy and they had already put them up to take out. So a worker took the same fries back to be cooked longer and they were salted a second time making them too salty. The pulled pork sandwich was dry with no bbque sauce, very little coleslaw and a tiny onion ring on one side of the sandwich. I was told the pork was in bbque sauce. The sandwich was advertised as pulled barbecue pork with coleslaw and onion strings. I had two ask for bbque sauce. Overall a bad experience for an $18.00 meal. read more

The sandwich was very good, however, I really didn't taste any cheese on it. There must not have been much. The urban fries were fantastic, although they probably should've been a little hotter. Ok Jack's.....I'm finally giving you a deserved review. TBH, I had forgotten about this location until recently when the boss suggested you for lunch. I've been to several other locations, but I don't think I've actually visited this one in particular. So this review is solely based on the 2 to-go orders me & the boss had over the last 2 weeks in our efforts to #SupportLocal. Last week on 4/2/20, I ordered my usual, classic tri-tip sandwich, this time subbing out the caramelized onions for red onions & subbed mayo for their spicy aioli (which according to the girl on the phone was the same as their chipotle mayo. Why it's listed separately on their menu? Beats me!). Boss ordered a Create-A-Salad w/their cheesy garlic bread (YUM!) & always enjoys it. So like I said, I ordered my usual because I LOVE Jack's tri-tip sandwiches!! Even the BBQ one is super delicious & is often what the Hubs will order when eating Jack's. I typically order their garlic fries cuz who doesn't like garlic fries, right? A crazy person, that's who! But I wanted to be a little adventurous & decided to give their Urban fries a shot. When I ordered on the phone, I told the girl I didn't want the blue cheese & she said they could switch it out for ranch if I wanted. Uh, YEAH! Love me some ranch. This lunch experience was perfectly exceptional! The sandwich, on point. The fries were quite tasty too! Today, we again decided to order from Jack's & this time I wanted a salad after having seen my boss's from last week. Being a fan of the tri-tip, I ordered their Steak Salad w/out blue cheese (I'm just not a fan if you couldn't tell by now). I also decided to add feta (which perhaps they would've subbed out if I had called in the order instead of going online), apples, quinoa, & tomatoes, each being an extra $0.50 to the order. The boss went w/another Create-a-Salad. The salad was super delicious, although I was sad to see they missed adding the apples.....I was hoping to get that little extra sweet crunch from it. Oh well. Hopefully an online slip-up like this doesn't happen often. All-in-all, Jack's is definitely a place to frequent for great quality ingredients of any meal option you choose. The customer service I've experienced at all their locations are typically stellar and the food never disappoints.
