We have used West Coast Windows and Doors twice now and couldn't be happier with their service and quality of their products. The first time was over a decade ago when they installed 15 windows and two sliders. The windows were original to 1988 and were set in the stucco. We chose to have the front windows removed completely (as opposed to replacement which leaves a vinyl frame over the stucco) which required cutting back the stucco then patching and painting over the new install. Every step of the process with this company was perfect and seam less. We just had an old garden window replaced and couldn't have been happier. On time, neat, with attention to detail. The crew had to cut back tile that used to go into the old garden window. They did a clean cut and left it ready for future tile installation while still ascetically pleasing until the tiling is done. read more

We're in a competitive market and at minimum I've come to expect quality customer service with people that care about their clients and their experience. This was far from my experience with Kelly. Based on first impression and a few phone calls, I found Kelly to be rude, curt, uncouth, impatient, and not appreciative of our business in least. Perhaps the level of customer service bestowed is equal to the amount of dollars you intend to spend? Still, my value system disagrees with that approach in life and in business. Richard, Kelly and their installers were exceptional throughout our project. We needed to replace all of our original 34 windows and 2 patio doors. Richard was extremely helpful explaining the window options available and the pros and cons of each, and providing the information needed to obtain HOA approval. Their installation team was amazing completing the job on our two-story house in three days during very hot weather and were great at cleaning up as they progressed through the house. The new windows and doors work better than the originals ever did, and we noticed the improved insulation immediately. Kelly was very helpful in showing us various doors which would fit our entry dimensions. Order to installation was approximately 2.5 months. Installation crew did an excellent job from installing covering between entry door area to other rooms to keep installation dust out, removing old doors, installing new doors and cleaning up area after installation. Staff was very accommodating when we wanted to change the contract by removing the painting of the doors as we were having the outside of our home painted during the same time frame and wanted the home painters to paint the new doors. They did such a great job installing double-paned windows for us a few years back, we thought we'd give them a try to replace a badly warped French door with a new slider. We'd gotten bids from other contractors, and they all came in literally MUCH higher than West Coast - and with longer wait times for completion. Kelly helped us through the whole thing, I've never thought about windows in my life so I had no idea what I wanted, but Kelly was very patient and helpful. West Coast Windows & Doors replaced our vintage 1972 double-door entry with a new single door with sidelights (see before and after photos attached) in our Walnut Creek home. The final result was beautiful. The work was professionally done with care by craftsmen. For us, an important feature were the two sidelights added to brighten the entryway, and the result is perfect. Day 1 was old door removal and new door installation and Day 2 the door painting. The work lasted about 4 hours each day. The final installation has a solid quality feel, too. The new door was the crowning touch of our major interior home project that included a new stairway, carpet, interior paint, new lights, as well as the door. We've used them twice to replace all the windows in our home in two parts. Very thorough and professional.

We began our window replacement project in summer 2021 as the COVID-19  pandemic was in full swing. We had our hearts set upon a specific brand of window, with one desired unit being that of a eight foot double sliding glass door, with two sets of two 36' sidelights to be set to the left and to the right of the sliders- This was to fill a 16' wall.  We also wanted a garden window set in the main bathroom along with a small window to retrofitted in the hallway. Lastly, we wanted to have two large fixed windows replaced with sliding windows. All the new uints are insulated widows with the bells and whistles to help keep the house more energy efficient while replacing our single pane, aluminum framed windows. Not a small project. The problems we encountered with several national brands was too over the top for our liking. We were hard sold. One company managed to get our phone number, and we had to demand their boiler room stop calling us. Another brand's sales rep, working for what I call a 'boutique' outfit in Walnut Creek kept dropping us through the cracks and messing up our bid. The third window vendor had us go out of our way to visit their shop only to ask us move from a table during the middle of a demonstration, to make room for a contractor, so that we could stand at a counter to wait for another sales rep to become available to finish our consultation. We ended up walking out. It took us eight weeks to finally throw in the towel and to abandon the project  out of frustration. We felt that our smaller job was not seen as important or as lucrative enough to all the window vendors we had spoken to. We felt that our Pleasant Hill zip code did not give us enough prestige in the eyes of the other vendors when a Lamorinda or Danville zipcode and job would spell more money and better ease for the aforementioned vendors. After hearing me gripe, my neighbor up the street suggested I call West Coast Windows and Doors. He sang the praises of a window he had, that West Cost helped in finding a part for, which they supplied for free, because of Anlin Windows lifetime warranty. Neighbor said he thought his Anlin Windows were 'top notch'. That alone prompted me to call. Richard, the owner, was out the next day for   our initial consultation and he pointed us to a brand that was a portion of the cost of some of the brands we were considering, while they were American made in Southern California. Richard highly recommend Anlin widows, the same ones my neighbor swears by. Long story short, we liked what we saw. Tthe price was fair, and the windows wouldn't be stuck in a shipping container bobbing about in the Pacific waiting to be unloaded. Richard  told us it could take about 12 weeks to get the windows installed, sometime in May, 2022. Here it is April, 12, 2022... And his crew just packed up and left! The windows went in a month earlier than expected! We are extremely satisfied and gratified in choosing the Anlin Windows! Richard's crew was impeccable. His point man, Jay, was on top of his game. He was professional, helpful and on several occasions went out of his way in asking how I would like to see something done, rather than taking the easiest route. Having been the trades and a small business owner myself, you have no idea how important this was to me. My wife was impressed too. She hates being talked down to, and not being a part of the process. Jay and crew made her feel a part of the process. The guys were neat, clean, on time, and a joy to work with. Jay even pet our kitty, who loved it, in spite that kitty is not much of a social girl. I digress... We have a second phase of remodeling to occur in 2022/2023. I had been referred to this company by a contractor and friend. My initial interactions with staff...from ordering through installation...were fine...all-business and professional until I called with a concern. My question about why the casing surrounding the door was of different widths evidently did not sit well with this company. As the installation was done when I was at work, I wasn't present to have asked the installer about it when the work was being done. When I called the next day, I was told that that was the way it was done...no one EVER questioned that EVER before...and that I was wrong to ask if it could be changed. Kelly seemed to be angry that I was calling in my concern, berating me for voicing my concern and my misuse of door-installation vocabulary. Had Jorge, the company painter, not been there during the call, I probably would have meekly accepted something that I was not happy with, growing to hate it over time. But Jorge said that he would fix it, that he was there to make sure I was pleased with the product and the work. He made it perfect...at least perfect to me, the only person in the history of this company who wants a symmetrical door casing. Way overdue rating! Three years ago West Coast Windows and Doors replaced the single pane, steel sash, glazed windows in my 1950's era Concord house. I also had them replace the front door and upgrade a fixed window to a glass door with side screen panel in one bedroom. The difference in my home has been amazing! No more putting a blanket behind your neck to keep off the drafts in the winter and my house stays so much cooler in these extra hot summers (I don't have ac). Based on recs from Yelp and ND, we chose three local companies from whom to get estimates when we needed windows done. Our crew left this past Friday after starting Monday. We couldn't be happier with the entire experience from start to finish. Absolutely everyone, from Rick (the owner) who did our estimate, to Tiffany at the office, to "The J Crew + Brendan" who did the actual install, everyone was not just prompt and professional, but kind and charming. They know their stuff, to put it mildly. We have nineteen windows, including three patio doors, three greenhouse windows, and a bay window. Our job included challenges that included patio and pergola overhangs, windows with built-ins completely surrounding them, indoor cats, a hugely friendly Golden Retriever, and garden beds cranking out fruit and veg way too close to the windows. We can't believe how gorgeous our new Anlin windows and doors are. We notice a definite difference in keeping our indoors a comfy temperature, and the amount of traffic noise we no longer hear (we're near a couple busy streets). Our crew arrived promptly each day. They called in a couple extra guys Friday to make sure they finished the job as promised, every window and door sparkling clean. They were meticulous in keeping the site clean each day (they even cleaned up as they worked on each window), and in walking through inside and out to leave no trace that this had been a construction site for the past five days. read more
