3/5 - this store is extremely busy location and takes about 30 minutes for any staff to come to help you especially on the weekends. They still have all the merch, but would go to a location with better customer service! Tip: they have their west elm warehouse next door, which has deals/weekends where they take items from the showroom or even new pieces and discount for sale!

For the Love of G-d - do NOT order anything from this store. Don't believe me - check out the pic of how long I was on with customer service: 1 HOUR and 15 MINUTES * $750 purchase made 3 months ago *sent to California - I live in TX *wouldn't send me a replacement until the other people sent it back *waited, waited, waited *replacement never came *then was told I might not get a full refund and replacement never sent *then was told I'd get a refund but they couldn't confirm in writing *$750 later - no table - no customer service - horrible horrible experience Don't do it.

Update: I received my refund a couple days ago. But I still needed a table, and I need this particular table as part of my interior decor. So I went ahead and called their customer service to place another order. They said they will create a note with my order that this is a re-order and to handle with care since my previous one arrived broken. However it will still take a couple months to arrive since this is a custom order. I can only hope and pray that this one will not come damaged this time. Will update when the table arrives.

    This is the single stitch.

Has anyone had success getting a Comenity Bank West Elm credit card by applying at the store or on-line? If so, how long did it take to get it?

It was super speedy when we did it in store, instant approval and given a temp number so we could use it right then and there!

At least a couple of times throughout the year this furniture store has a tent sale. I may glance into the tent if the furniture is clear visible. In full transparency, I did not know what the durability or longevity of furniture would be purchased at outlet. For clothing at an outlet, the hem could be off, button missing or another small imperfection. One would expect furniture to be durable and long lasting. Four Hands Outlet carries medium grade furniture. It appears to be foundational type furniture. There were a number of tables, chairs and sofa to peruse in the store. I will likely pop by when the tent is fully stocked. It is important to note that Four Hands Outlet has earned a number of Yelp awards. The sales representative shared her knowledge of what was going to be included in the sale, although her knowledge was limited. The furniture ranges from low to medium price range.

It definitely leans toward the grotesque which makes for an interesting browsing experience. Creepy dolls, haunted masks, odd surrealist art, a lot of funky religious pieces. In regards to art, the prices seemed to be on the higher end although there is quite a bit of variety (a few hundred here, a few thousand there). I mostly focused on the art but if you're interested in smaller things, I'm sure you can find cheaper items. I did question some of the pricing -- there was a small dinosaur painting for over 3K! We were told it came from a children's museum. Seemed a bit steep nonetheless. I personally prefer to dig around small antique shops and score treasures for a low price. However, this place is just fun to browse. It's like a museum of ugly and interesting objects. If you're looking for a unique date idea, you've found it. Parents -- I wore my baby in a carrier and we had my toddler in a small umbrella stroller. Worked out fine. There's enough room to navigate without little hands grabbing super expensive objects (just keep a close eye, obviously). After our visit, I read some of the older negative reviews (10 years ago) where folks with strollers were kicked out and not allowed in. I guess they realized how much that policy can hurt them. Glad to see them wise up and start to accommodate families.

The space is very truly a thrift shop--bit of everything everywhere in the main room, and it's very fun to walk around and look for little treasures! Kevin explained to me that he rearranges his shop pretty often (he cheekily calls the practice "funk shui") to get people's eyes on different items every time they come in. He tends to get his wares from estate sales, auctions, and considers himself a treasure hunter. And I must agree! Lots of treasures in Far Out, and I loved sifting through them. If you make your way in, you'll likely hear from Kevin that he's open to negotiation and bundling items for reasonable deals. He seems just to be genuinely excited to find cool items and give them new homes. And I appreciate that energy a lot. I came in looking, loosely, for some home decor as my husband and I outfit our home after moving back to Texas from Georgia. But nothing felt quite right on the decor side. But I saw some beautiful pieces and walked out of the store with a vintage book I was excited about. So I consider it a successful trip. :) Make a trip over to check out Kevin's treasures.
