I am originally from the Bay Area, but every now and then I'll be in town. When I am, I always try to get my annual routine eye exam done through Dr. Duong! I've been a visiting patient of hers for about 2 or 3 years at a previous location, so this was my first time at this new location. I live in the nearby city for the past year. But I've been seeing Dr. Duong for the past 5 years at another location. I've also enrolled my little sister in the Ortho-K program. When I looked into this overnight contact lens wear for my little sister, I was skeptical about the outcome and results as it seemed too good to be true. But I've kept her signed up in this program with Dr. Duong for the past 3 years. My little sister has no complaints as she loves not having to wear glasses or contact lenses throughout the day and sports events. Dr. Duong is a well experienced doctor. Great with kids. Best experience I have had with an optometrist thus far. There are some things that West Eyecare do to stand out from the rest of the crowd. First off, and I believe most importantly, the Doctor really takes her time with you. The biggest issue I have had with other optometrists is how fast they go. I really felt that when the doctor was helping me here, I was not rushed and had time to really tell which lens was the correct one. Another huge plus is the selection they have. To be honest, I have a rather large head and glasses didn't always work with me, but we spent about an hour taking a look at all different brands from Ray Bands, Oliver People, Penguin, and even Jaguar. I was able to find a good selection of glasses that fit on me and was then able to pick out the style I wanted. Last thing that I felt really stood out relates back to the first point a bit but they really take their time with you for everything. The assistant, Diana, helped me for more than an hour with finding the right frames that fit my face. And for something that I am going to wear on an everyday basis, I really appreciated the effort. Overall, I had a great experience here. I recommended my girlfriend here and got a pair of Prada glasses that she wears everyday now. I would highly recommend anybody to come here. Personally, I find glasses to be a very important aspect of life, from the fashion standpoint to the improving the your daily quality of life. I came to this optometry because I wanted to get contact lenses. They first gave me a routine eye exam to check my prescription and then showed me how to put on and take off contact lenses. For the eye exam, the instructions were clear and the solution they put into the eyes to check the eye pressure do not sting as much as other optometry places. For the contact lenses training, it was my first time uses contact lenses. The instructions were clear and they were very patient with me while I kept failing to get the lenses in my eyes. I have never had a more pleasant experience at any medical professional's office than the two visits I made to West Eyecare Optometry. I'm only giving them five stars because Yelp won't allow me to give them more. I had not been to an optometrist in at least a decade. I remember the last time my mother took me, and it was a horrible experience. The optometrist hurt my eyes, the receptionists were rude, and they gave me cheap glasses that took forever to arrive. I was extremely hesitant about going to the optometrist at all because of my previous experiences, but my current job has me in front of two computer screens all day so I knew I at least had to get my eyes checked to make sure they could withstand all that. I was referred here by a few coworkers who swore the doctor was amazing, the customer service was outstanding, and the place was beautiful. I am the type of person who needs to see something like this in order to believe it, even more so because I used to work in customer service, so I took a chance and made an appointment. I requested a time on the same day through MyTime and got immediate confirmation of my appointment. All I needed was my VSP card, my ID, and to fill out two pages of information. I got my eye exam done, throughly and painless, and I swear the only reason I was in the office bugging the doctor and Diana for an hour and a half was because they had way too many beautiful frames to choose from. I am getting so many compliments on my new glasses, and I'm obsessed with them. I can't wait until my insurance coverage kicks in again so I can go get that Versace pair that we all agreed was gorgeous. At first my intentions were to go to several optometry places but luckily i stumbled across this place first and saved me the time and gas. This place is really clean and has a nice modern look to it as well. What really sold me was how helpful and nice the staff was. My husband came in because he developed a terrible eye infection, and this was the closest optometrist to our home. I wouldn't say I'm glad this happened, because he was in so much pain, but the one good thing that came out of this is, we discovered our new optometrist! We absolutely love Dr. Duong. She did everything she could to help us out; she even drove to the lab as soon as our appointment was over to get my husband a pair of emergency glasses (during rush hour traffic). Then, she called the next day to see how his eye was doing, even though they already had a future appointment set up. As I was walking towards Stater Bros with my cousin for grocery shopping, West Eyecare's beautifully designed facility and huge selections of frames caught my eyes. I couldn't help but had to stop by to check it out. Right when i walked in, i was nicely greeted by the friendly staffs. I haven't got my eyes exam in awhile so hey why not!?
