I had a Cabelas credit card that had over $160 in earned points that I did not spend. I had not…read moreused the card in a bit. They claim they sent me a cancellation letter in August that I never recieved. They cancelled my card on December 19th and took away my points that were the same as money in Cabelas. I did not receive that cancellation letter until mid January. They just took away the money that I earned using their card. I called the credit department and they told me they could not give me back my points or reopen my card that was dated to expire on 03/29. How can you take away something that someone earned? They should have sent me a gift card to Cabelas for the points that I earned instead of keeping my money. I do not consider this good business!

They carrying everything from dog treats, home decor, clothing , camping, fishing, human candy, bird food on and on and on... I can spend hours just browsing every aisle. If you're looking for a discount store you may want to pass. They do run some great Black Friday and clearance sales though. Check out the archery, camping sections and bird feeders, my favorites.

I purchased a beautiful men's full zip jacket, a women's wool blend sweater, and a Patagonia hiking shirt that was 50% off. The young man who rang me up was incredibly nice and very chatty. So much so that he accidentally rang up my purchases at full price. When he realized this, he rang me up again, saying, "Don't worry, you won't be charged twice." Long story short, when I went through my bank statement a week later, I'd been charged twice. I went in today with my statement and the clothing and Kyle was INCREDIBLE. Apologetic, helpful, reassuring, saying he'd "take care of it and contact" me tomorrow. THIS IS WHY we love smaller businesses. They are HUMAN and although like all of us, sometimes make errors, they rectified it immediately. And now I will never go back to REI unless Trail Creek simply doesn't carry what I'm looking for. #customers for life.

My brother happily ran inside hoping to find a jacket he was looking for. I tried to follow him in, but was greeted at the door by a foot stuck out in front of me and a snarky "we're at capacity". I completely understand that they were short staffed and at capacity, however I was a little confused by the tone. I stepped aside with my cousins and sister to wait for my brother. My sister then asked my cousin " how are they at capacity with only 3 people in the store ". I was then completely shocked to hear the man with tennis ball green hair at the door start to raise his voice at her. He began cursing at us, asking my 13 year old cousin if she "had something to say since you love to stare". She had no clue what to say, so I responded with "she's only thirteen". He then said "I don't care, and I will get you bitch ass kids kicked out for not being with an adult". I then told him that I am 18 and responsible for them. He then told us to "get the fuck out" and to " stop shit talking" . My poor little cousin was in tears and so confused. I am so disappointed and frankly disgusted with the way we were treated by him. Not one of us raised our voices, yet he felt the need to curse and yell at some kids. I don't recommend going to this store until that employee is fired.

This man sells the real deal stuff. I dealt w/ the owner w/ no problems making adeal trading in a decent but not fitting other coat. I had one size too small, and he had a selection up to 58 (XXXL?) I hope to never have to need to come back, BUT this sale TOTALLY satisfied me, and I'd come back in a heartbeat.

I purposely walked in front of him to look at a new sets of golf clubs, which I came in to buy also, and I left in frustration. The front of the store has men's and women's apparel with all the usual brands represented - MSR, Patagonia, TNF, etc. The hallway leading to the back has a nice selection of shoes, most from a few brands. The back of the store has a ton of climbing gear and the backpacks/tents. There's also a nice selection of books and assorted items for whatever scratches your fancy. On the way out, I was pleased to note some items up front benefiting a local non-profit outdoor group (thumbs up!). The staff was also very friendly. While I definitely had to hold back on this trip, I would definitely not hesitate to spend local and visit ERO in the future.
