The staff at this clinic placed their total focus on "MONEY".. not on how my pet was doing.. or what I was feeling from having to see her drastic decline. The staff started off with presenting me with a long list of "tests" they wanted to run.. Multiple tests that had NOTHING to do with her immediate care... Tests that would cost SEVERAL hundreds of dollars... I kept advising them that she is 20 years old, I didn't want to put her through unnecessary tests that had nothing to do with why I was there with her. Staff continued to want to "negotiate" the tests, leaving me in the room for very extended lengths of time, multiple times, going back and forth with the doctor to figure out what tests were actually "Necessary" to be done. This staff left me feeling like I was purchasing a used car and they were the salesman... No sense of compassion for what my pet was experiencing and for what I was feeling... Final prognosis from vet.. My cat was constipated?????? Really :( With that, anyone considering this clinic, should really think twice about it. My baby crossed the bridge this morning and is no longer in pain. My heart is broken :(

And they're very affordable…read more Understandably they're extremely busy and it takes awhile to get an appointment but it's worth the wait. Everyone there is wonderful and helpful. I haven't had to get our cats spayed or neutered in about 30 years because they're usually already spayed or neutered when we rescue them. This time, we rescued 2 young cats who had never been spayed before so of course we had to get them spayed. Not only because it's annoying when they're in heat, but it's so much better for their health to be spayed. Especially so they don't have ovarian cancer when they're older. It wasn't easy trying to take care of them while they recovered from their surgeries. I mainly kept them both in their pet carriers so that they wouldn't be too active or do anything to reopen their incision until it healed. But we made it. Both girls still love their pet carriers and they both still love us unconditionally and weren't affected negatively after being spayed. Thanks P.E.T.S. Clinic for being available, being affordable and doing a great job with both of our cats. We had an extremely bad experience with a local vet clinic stealing one of our emotional support cats (Live Oak) so we're really struggling with trust when it comes to vet clinics. We still don't have a new vet clinic that we use, but it was such a huge relief that we had such a great experience with y'all and we truly appreciate that!!!

However, it was ultimately a Yelp review that led me to FVC. After adopting my dog from a no-kill shelter six months ago, I opted to stay with my mom's local tried and true vet in Denton, Texas. Disenchanted after two godawful experiences there (not anticipating the potentially deleterious effects of taking my fur baby off of a medication for a chronic condition, prescribing the wrong dosage based upon my dog's weight, and charging me extra to correct the medication), I was determined to find "the" vet for us in Lubbock, somewhere near Tech's campus. The vets referred to me by Tech's faculty failed to return my phone calls. Their glossy, professional websites offered me an e-mail address which to contact, but I never heard back. I scoured Yelp in search of "the" vet. It was a review of FVC written three months prior, documenting how one of the practice's vets followed up with a pup's owner following its appointment and ultimately summoned assistance to dig an elder dog's grave following the family's tragic loss. You don't come across such unbridled compassion and selflessness, nevertheless from a paid practitioner. I knew this was the vet. My experience at FVS was phenomenal from start-to-finish. The vet and vet tech genuinely care; they offer dynamic, comprehensive insights and keep the "big picture" in high regards. They thought ahead, and were careful to share the prices for additional tests/medications with me before performing or prescribing them. I have found a lifelong friend in the vet tech, Megan, and a trusted resource in the vet. Even the desk woman put a smile on my face. It was she that phoned me a week later to ask how my fur baby was doing and if I had any follow-up questions. You won't find a vet or clinic like that at FVC anywhere else. They absolutely set the standard.

And I tried, spending well in excess of a thousand dollars over 18 months. The front desk person is obtuse and impossible to communicate with but the care only goes downhill from there. What staff and doctors alike appear to be concerned about is running through as many animals as possible and charging very high rates in the process. You see a different vet every visit so no one person takes a long term interest or view to care giving. Several times I was left wondering if the vet who saw my pet wasn't dipping into the medicine cabinet himself because he was so dull and indifferent. When you point critical care issues out to Dr. Stevens, he shrugs it off and acts like you are the problem. I really do not believe Stevens cared about anything other than whether my bill was paid. They misdiagnosed and failed to properly treat the most common eye infection encountered in felines in my cat who will likely suffer with permanent problems due to their lack of attention and incompetence. If you're looking for a veterinarian who cares, I encourage you to keep looking.

My wife has Autism and has complex PTSD and other comorbidities. On Thursday, vile vet techs 1, Becca tried to charge my wife $95 for a $25 medication, then claimed it wouldn't be until Monday before they would process the refund. Becca then tried to copy down her debit card's entire 16-digit number, exp. date and cvv! My wife decided that was pretty sus so she said she needed Becca to give her the card and the sticky note with the card info and she would come back Monday, which Becca responded to by claiming they were going to deny her refund if she didn't let them have it! Then, after she threw my wife's card at her and hit her in the face but insisted on keeping the sticky note, Becca then tried to mind game and gaslight my wife by screaming at her to f-ing calm her t*ts and stop threatening her and quit yelling. My wife was standing there with her arms crossed not threatening her, and she was speaking with a loud tone but not yelling. This made my wife start to escalate, at which point she did yell, and Becca said I f-ing told you you were yelling you stupid B* and laughing at her. At that point, vile vet tech #2 Kayla came into the room and Becca visibly calmed down to make my wife look like the crazy person. Becca called her a Karen and said she didn't want them to keep her card info on file. My wife tried to explain her condition and the situation, but Kayla didn't care and told her that her card info being stolen wasn't a big deal, she needed to calm the f-down and shut her f-ing mouth, no one cares about her f-ing problems and everyone's got problems. Kayla told my wife they would get her the refund before finally handing over the card info, and my wife decided to leave before she escalated to meltdown levels. She then said she was leaving and they tried to interrupt her as she was trying to leave, Kayla cussed her out and called out "I hope you wreck, go to hell, F-you you F-ing B" as she walked out the door. I was furious when I heard this so I had to spend my lunch break going and confronting them. They decided they couldn't take the same emotional liberties with me that they had with my wife for some reason. I was trying to keep myself calm but had a stern look on my face, was visibly trembling, and I'm 6'5", 270lbs, so that might be why. When I told them who I was and why I was there they magically had the refund receipt ready. Wow. So much for the wait until Monday bs. Then they spun this entire story about how it was all a big misunderstanding and they were sorry and they wanted to apologize. I was confused and thrown off by this, so instead of chewing them out, I said I would let her know but no promises. At this point, my wife came in to see what was taking me so long. I turn around and tell her what they said, and they start smirking and staring her down while my back was turned. (My wife was recording on her phone so I saw it on the video.) I feel ashamed and humiliated that they duped me and I regret that I didn't back my disabled wife up the way I should have. My wife, who was justifiably upset, then said they were not sorry and she did not forgive them, at which point Kayla said in a mocking demeanor "since that's the case, Becca, call the police." This was the first time in the whole process that they asked anyone if us to leave or threatened anyone with the law. Words cannot describe how viciously livid I am with these people and this place. Becca and Kayla are abusive psychos and should not have any kind of job interacting with customers! If that place still tolerates their behavior they don't belong in business!

I went to the facility this morning to see my baby. She had been carefully arranged with her little paws folded on her chest, and her eyes were nearly closed. She looked as if she were fast asleep. Her private service was that - absolutely private. I got her paw print this morning; I picked up her ashes five hours later. I hope I don't need to use Emerson's services for another decade or more.
