For $100 I she got a terrible bouquet it looks like it would be $35. While they delivered them promptly the actual product they delivered is embarrassing. I let them know and sent a photo. This triangle shaped corner store is the epitome of charming West Village architecture. Although diminutive, the well edited selections of flowers and plants dazzles the nature starved urban dweller. The real bargain is after work bouquets for $6-$10 that can cheer up an apartment for a last minute dinner party but I caution yelpers to stay away from the plants. I had my eye on a tiny moss covered topiary ($40) that died overnight. Despite calling the store beforehand, a return visit to the shop left me without a plant, credit, or advice on how to revive it. This is not a nursery so plants should not be expected to last long. read more

They have beautiful flowers but the owner or lady you manages the store is incredibly unfriendly, rude and not helpful or knowledgeable. I asked about a particular indoor plant and she had no idea what the name was, nor did she try to find out. Even the Home Depot staff are friendlier and more knowledgeable. Flowers don't last, have purchased multiple expensive bouquets but even when following the directions to change the water with cold water and trim the stems once a day, the flowers don't last. Far too expensive for wilted poor quality bouquets. read more

Very disappointing arrangement for the price. I specified what I wanted and trusted it would be assembled and delivered the next day. No problem with delivery, but the arrangement was cheap and disappointing. There were half the number of roses I'd asked for in the arrangement, more cheap flowers (eg tulips and mums) than I'd stipulated, and definitely not a value for money (or what other florists were offering at similar price points). I wanted to shop local, and they gave me a sense of professionalism and reassurance, but I'll look elsewhere in the future, including on-line. Unreasonably overpriced. The owner is pushy and annoyed with attitude. I wanted to make a bouquet and she tried to only add the cheap flowers in the mix all the while being incredibly distasteful and dismissive with her choice of flowers. At some point she just gave my bouquet to another employee. The employee seemed overwhelmed and incapable, as I asked them to add a flower in the middle of the bouquet they said it's not doable...like what? That's what florists do. The owner of this store is rude. The plants and flowers they sell are grossly overpriced. I prefer to walk over to 22nd Street, and 8th avenue. Although it is a bit of a trek compared to West Village Florists, which is merely 2 blocks away from where I reside, I get a better bang for my buck at the more distant plant store, and I am always helped by friendly staff. read more

I don't know much about flowers but I look like someone with great taste because I have West Village Flower of New York in my contacts. I have never been anything but wowed with their arrangements. My mom actually found them first and sends me flowers from this shop every year for my birthday. They're Korean so she can speak to them in Korean to place her order. They do a LOVELY job and people in my Wall Street office go bonkers for their floral arrangements because they are so creative and beautiful. I started sending flowers from them to my favorite co-workers on their birthdays and everyone knows where they are from because the arrangements are distinctive and so unique!!! The ladies and gentleman on the phone are always nice and it is easy to place an order (in English) with them. All I ever have to do is specify the size (a small is about 8" or 9" square) and favorite color or colors and they do amazing work. read more

I came upon this lovely flower shop while walking around this area with my boyfriend. I had been looking for rose plants and right out front they had several to choose from for ONLY $8 a plant. This shop was so lovely as were the 2 women working there that I also left with purple tulips that look better now (4 days later) than the day I bought them. I love this florist! In the past, I worked nearby and used them on and off for years. Knowing I wanted a fresh, long-lasting, reasonably priced and special arrangement for friends, I called on a Sunday at noon-ish. The owner asked what color I wanted--be prepared to answer that question. Every spare inch of this busy, small but attractive and homey shop has a variety of fresh flowers which are delivered to the store often during the week. I regret G.K. and Ximena had poor experiences; I never have. I find the hard-working women here a bit harried sometimes, but in my experience pleasant and doing their best to satisfy customers. To that end, a gorgeous purple arrangement with a Japanese aesthetic was delivered to the Upper West Side at a very reasonable fee before 6 pm. Way to go, West Side! read more

I bought an aloe plant here that ended up showing signs of rot after one week (I did not water plant at all). I brought the plant back to show that it was clearly overwatered before I bought it. The owner told me to bring the plant back after another week and if it was still rotting she would refund me. I brought the plant back and since the owner was not there that day the other employees insisted they could not help me and that I would have to come back a third time to get my money back. I just went ahead and threw out the plant since I could not carry this plant around with me all day. I even asked if I could leave the plant there because I had someplace to be and they told me I couldn't. Very disappointed at the rude customer service I experienced. read more
