We drove by this place and kinda stumbled on it, but so glad we did! They have practically everything you can think of like toys, clothes, tools, plants, flowers, fruit and vegetables, etc. The possibilities were endless! It was definitely a warm sunny day and there were just rows and rows of vendors. It would have been cool to see more vendors that had new items for sale. It kinda was like a large garage sale or a outdoor thrift store. We got some yummy fruit and produce. I loved how the vendors let us try to various fruits. I was exiting the flea market and my kid bought a scooter from someone he wasn't riding he was walking with the scooter.So then when my wife went to the restroom then the old man that collects tickets started yelling at my kid because the sign said no scooters and he didn't know yet because he was just 5. The scooter was $15 and then I came over and started arguing with him and my wife too. It was a horrible experience. I'm never going back to their flea market. read more

This isn't my pick of choice when it comes to flea markets. I've been here a small handful of times and each time, I am never impressed. West Wind Capitol Flea Market offers limited amounts of fresh produce compared to the Berryessa location and its shopping offerings consist primarily of used goods. Here you will find heaping of clothing piles, an abundance of well used tools, well loved toys/action figures, and tons of accessories. There is a fee for entry and in & out privileges are allowed as long as you get a stamp before exiting. Restrooms are deathly horrendous & smelly so my suggestion is to hold it if possible or make sure to tinkle prior to your trip here. 2 stars. There is very little to no shade, bring a hat or umbrella to protect yourself from the crazy summer heat. read more

I'm writing this review out of serious concern for customer safety, professionalism, and company policy. On multiple occasions, a male employee has had a woman who does NOT work at this location handling money, collecting payments, and interacting with customers. He then hands her receipts to give to customers. This is extremely concerning from both a security and accountability standpoint. Customers deserve to know that only trained, authorized employees are handling their payments. In addition, this same employee was previously reported for yelling at and speaking aggressively toward a handicapped customer, which is unacceptable and discriminatory. Management and corporate should take this seriously. Allowing unauthorized individuals to handle transactions and mistreat disabled customers creates legal, safety, and liability issues. I hope upper management addresses this immediately. read more

The people, the cleanest and unique items on sell! What a wonderful way to start the weekend w a nice walk!

I was extremely disappointed to learn that the individual running this place trap squirrels in cages. It's not only inhumane but also shows a complete lack of respect for wildlife. There are far more ethical and humane ways to handle interactions with animals. Caging wild creatures like squirrels causes unnecessary stress and suffering and reflects poorly on anyone claiming to care about their environment. They cause no harm & are a fun attraction for kids & adults alike visiting the Flea Market. I hear them screaming & crying for help once they realize they are trapped. I do not understand the cruel approach being taken here. Very hard to watch as we have pets at home ourselves & feel deeply disturbed. read more

Love love love coming to the flea market. I haven't come to the flea market in quite a while and I'm glad I came today because I found some really good items. I found some silverware, I got seven pieces for $15Which was kind of high for the flea market but they were very pretty and florally and will make a good addition to my collection. Found a vintage milk glass vase which is really cute and its a pattern I haven't seen before. Also got a bread vintage knife with a white pearl handle to add to my collection of lucite and bake a light knives. Got a good deal on a Fossil crossover leather bag for $7.00. It was an excellent condition and it's going to look very cute with the casual outfit. my daughter got two purses that were soft leather for seven dollars each and one was noYanni which retails for $150-$200 and it was in mint condition the other was a hobo brand which was a soft leather very cute with the leather tassel. Needed a snack so got some grapes in a verity of green, red and purple. $6.00 bucks for a bag of grapes, a good deal. Hopefully I can return again soon to see what other deals I can find. read more

This is funny in a rather pathetic way. I had never been to the "flea market" in "San Jose" and Google Maps directed me here, rather than the one in Berryessa that I *now* realized is the "real" flea market. Whatever. Costs 50c per person to get in. The non-food items for sale (old clothes and such) they had for cheap-cheap were garbage-garbage ... yeah, they did have some "new" hats and the like too but they were overpriced. The fruit & vegetable vendors looked OK when I came in, but I didn't look closely at the scale when the youngish lady at the first booth you get to (she said their company is Ramirez) "weighed" my grapes [and told me they were 2 lbs. But then I got some green-beans from a different vendor (an *honest*) one and used his scale to weigh those supposedly-two-lbs of grapes and it turned out they weren't even 1-1/2 lbs. Seriously?????? Stay away from this place! read more

Great place to shop for everything under the sun, from shoes, and clothe to electronics, power tools, to coin collections. It is a great place to take the whole family for a few hours and look through things. Parking is free, and only a few dollars per person to enter. Admission is $1.50, which was a shocker since I wasn't expecting it. If I'd done my research beforehand I wouldn't have come. I don't believe in paying money for entry for the privilege of paying more money for goods. There's a sign right before entering that masks must be worn at all times...and yet the first person I come to, after reading that sign, is the maskless lady taking everyone's entry tickets. I don't mind mask mandates, but talk about hypocritical. Customer-facing employees, esp those stationed less than 20 ft away from a mask-mandatory sign, def need to comply. If only to keep up appearances and encourage compliance. This flea market would be good for those who like antiquing or browsing random used junk. There's also a lot of clothes, shoes, tools (both used and new). And fresh produce, but the selection is geared toward the Mexican palate. The entire market is dirty and trashy. Literally trashy, like with litter, piles of garbage, and even dog poop. That doesn't really bother me in an open air market. Unless I've just paid $1.50 admission. I can see the appeal for certain demographics, but unfortunately I don't fall into any of em. And I find the employees' blatant disregard of rules very disturbing. I won't be back. read more

Visited on a Saturday morning, parking wasn't too difficult to find, ticket line not too long and moved quickly, $1.50 entry fee, all the workers friendly. Inside it wasn't too crowded, most people wearing masks, lots of space enough to feel comfortable while browsing. No food stalls and no entertainment (which I remember from attending flea markets pre-covid), but they did have plenty of fresh produce, plants, and all kinds of items offered by vendors (shoes, clothes, household items, toiletries and beauty products, records, movies, toys, kitchenware, paintings, electronics, and other knickknacks), ranging from old, dirty, and broken, to brand new but low quality. And lots and lots of piles of tools! Easy bargaining with plenty of vendors, cash-only accepted at most stalls. I especially liked browsing tables and vendors with nostalgic items, antiques, rare finds, and dollar deals (some actually cool stuff for just a buck). The selection on this day wasn't super extensive or diverse, but we didn't go home empty-handed, got a few good deals on random and useful stuff. And had fun exploring the entire area for a good couple hours with my partner. By the way, I saw some loose nails and screws lying around which isn't the best when the grounds are not cleaned up well, since it can cause tire damage later when the venue is used for the drive-in theatre (which I like to visit as well). Also, it was hard to find a garbage can while walking around... Is that because some of the vendors are selling trash (so they figure it's unnecessary)?!? Either way, that made it inconvenient to discard of our waste (yes, they allowed us to bring outside drinks/coffee inside the flea market). Would I return? Sure. It's a flea market, you never know what you're gonna find on any given day. read more

One of my coworkers is from San Jo he mentioned to me that this Flea market was legit, alright buddy i'll be the judge of that. So we drove out here to see what this place was really about, pulling up u just see a lot of tents from the freeway, parking seemed pretty chill not to congested, parking was free, on a Saturday after 6:30 am they charge u 1.50 per person to enter. They allow you to re enter once u pay but u need to get your hand stamped. The flea market didnt feel like it was organized in a way, so it makes it hard to walk all of because its sectioned differently, they have a stage for live bands which (i hate live bands) they have a food court, the produce section they have is actually pretty good and it's cheaper than the Flea market off Berryessa rd. Check them out you find find something special. read more

It's been FOREVER since I've been to this flea market. I just remembered that you have to pay to enter, but I remember the selection inside being pretty good. There are different rates depending on the day and time you enter. They're open Wed - Sunday and it generally cost more if you want to be there when it opens because I guess it's when you can find all the good stuff. It's pretty spread out, so I found it a little hard to keep track of which vendors I passed by already, but that was fine. There's a vast selection from groceries (fruits & veggies), candy, new/old clothes, new/old electronics, toys, tools, and basically what you would expect to find at a flea market. Came on a Saturday around 1:40 pm and the admission was $1.50 /person. Towards 2:30 PM a lot of the vendors started packing up because they close at 4:30 PM, which I assume is so that they can clean up their whole area so that it can be converted into the drive-in theatre later. Based on the chart that they had at the ticket counter, it's cheaper the earlier on in the week you go, which makes sense. If you want to exit and re-enter (like if you want to put something in your car), you have to exit through the front entrance and get a stamp on your hand. read more

I live in Santa Cruz county, sadly the skyview flea market closed. It's still a vacant lot years later. Goodwill wants to reopen it. Probably won't happen. I have since rediscovered the Capitol flea market in San Jose. I LOVE IT. I always find items at very reasonable prices, and the produce area is filled with many varities of fruits and veggies, especially exotic Asian varieties of produce. read more

Before purchasing fruit, if it is permitted, try it because looks can be deceiving. I've purchased a watermelon that had no flavor, and green grapes that were sour...........very disappointing. It was just what I remembered from the flea-market- at -the-drive-in-theatre experiences of my youth . ExCEpT .... no food stalls ? No corn? or tacos ? Or corn dogs ? or fruit cups? or anything? Only a few weak and warmed over looking choices , at the snack bar. The movie concession stand was the only ready-to-eat food available at the whole market and they didn't have much . WHY we left so early ...to go to a restaurant for lunch...... However Cool live music by the FLEA AMIGOS , going on constantly in the background made for a lively market feeling . They had a "beer garden "area near the band . And a dance floor ! The veggies and fruits were bargain priced yet mostly better than average quality. IMHO I love visiting flea markets, swap meets, and craft fairs so after learning of the Capitol Flea Market's existence, my interest was piqued. Parking aisles are tight so do yourself a favor and park a little distance away and walk in. (Let's be honest, we can all use a little more exercise...) Admission prices for our Wednesday visit was 50 cents a person. I personally wouldn't pay more. I have no desire to pay an increased fee to shop on a weekend, nor do I want to fight to find a parking space. So do yourself a favor and shop on a weekday. Most vendors here seem to be selling their personal garage sale items but I will say, that most display their goods in neat and organized "piles", which makes it easier to shop. Those that are set up under tents or use tables also make good use of their space. My only request would be that more price signage is used so that one doesn't have to constantly find the vendor and ask for the selling price of an item. I would also love to support some food vendors but today there weren't any. Perhaps it wouldn't be profitable for them to sell on a weekday. I enjoyed leisurely walking around the drive-in (yes, it's a drive-in at night) and checking out each individual stall. I found a few items that interested me but bypassed them for lack of utilizing my bargaining skills. But I also felt some of these items were over-priced for a flea market. However we did leave with some skincare, bags of coffee beans, fresh fruit and veggies, and two beautiful orchids! Will I return? Probably. read more

I have mixed feelings for this Flea Market. As a buyer - 5 stars! This place has the cheapest produce, plants and misc household things. It's great for just wandering around and seeing what random treasures you can find. As a seller - this place is difficult. Seller set up time on website says 6am. We got there before 6am - but there are multiple seller entry lines (registered and unregistered) and nothing is labels. We ended up in wrong line, after getting help and getting in correct line, we were pretty far back in the line. Then they let registered people in first... so we ended up getting there before 6am and not getting in to set up table until after 9am. Therefore, we didn't even get our truck unloaded until after 10am. Place closes at 2pm. That doesn't give much selling time. Plus they also put us in the back corner, hidden behind big seller trucks from the regular registered people. Few people came to the back. If you are not a regular seller, just looking to declutter your house/ have a yard sale, I would avoid this flea market. You just can't sell enough to justify the cost and time to sell. (at least I could not). read more

My family and I have a great time coming here whether it's for the drive-in movies or to do a little shopping at their flea market. The flea market price is only 50 cents you can't beat it kids get in free and they have a good selection of people that bring all their stuff from home like yard sales as opposed to berryesses flea market where they have more store bought goods selling in bulk. We had a lot of fun I'm glad that they close pretty early too because it got pretty warm out today we had some good friends I'm very happy with my purchases and we even got some fruit and sugar cane for very very cheap. read more

Love coming here, the entrance fee is the cheapest of any flea market I've been at. Restrooms are kept clean. There's lots of fresh fruit to choose from and the customer service is fast and friendly. When I see the candy section it takes me back to the good old days. read more
