Always wanted to stop in here for years and finally did! Small store with quality second hand products. End up purchasing a candle and a cute vintage Calvin Klein Jean jacket. There is something for everyone, you just have to really really look. It's a small space but crammed with precious stock. Chris the owner was so sweet and fun! Full of advice and knowledge about small businesses and stories about fashion pieces. This is a lady I could hang with! We would have so much fun! She was even trying to give me a discount and I told her; no need as small businesses suffer enough. I was just grateful that she offered. I came across this store as it was the only one in downtown SJ that I found on Google. I come in and I am greeted by Chris, the store owner. She immediately starts conversation with me and I have never been treated with such hospitality from a business before. She mentions her love for her family, her business, I felt like I have known her forever! She also shows me photos of her 10 year anniversary celebration, and how proud she is of the people that helped display her clothing, she's just so passionate about her business. She offers me suggestions on some pants and I am in awe at the selection she has! Although it is small, there are so many options and she has a Jewelry selection that are handcrafted by her, and you can see the love incorporated in every piece. I bought two pairs of pants for $35 (total) and one of them you can find on resellers charging for over $100! It was such a great deal. I was having such a good time with Chris, I didn't want to leave because of how much goodness she radiated, and I barely met her today. stumbled upon this small little boutique with my friend one day out of curiosity, and boy oh boy were we glad we decided to come in. The jackets here were real nice material and they only costed $10! I bought a GAP jean jacket for $10! AWESOME DEAL RIGHT THERE. Unfortunately, we did not have much time, so we could not dig deep for treasure. But the rest of the clothes seemed in good shape and cheap cheap cheap! Also, the jewelry the owner makes is incredible. Super cutes! I would definitely buy two to match with another friend as some kind of friendship necklace thing. The owner here is the bombdiggity! She's funny, friendly and sweet! Definitely made the experience that much better. The only con is that a majority of the clothes there were really 80s looking which isn't really my style. I am a 17 year old college student! I passed by this thrift store while I took my dog out for a midnight walk. I'm a huge thrift store nutcase (I've checked out Moon Zoom, Black and Brown, etc) and made a mental note to check it out. I finally made time to stop by, and boy, am I glad I did! From the outside, the store did not seem like it would have much. Once you step inside and start looking around, there are some high quality gems here. The boutique focuses on clothes that flatter the female body, such as the cuts and material. The lady who works there (Chris) sets you at ease. When I asked for prices of some unmarked items, she said to make it simple, she marks most of her items for $6 or $7. I tried on five articles of clothing that flattered me, but I had to put three away because the colors just aren't me (I'm more of a goth/rocker chick) or I need to lose my belly. Chris was telling me about how she finds it sad that there are people who would like to lose weight, but couldn't due to unaffordable gyms/classes. She teaches free aerobics classes nearby, but I couldn't recall exactly where, as I was mentally chastising myself for letting myself go. She also told me about how she makes most of her money off of jewelry she sells at festivals. I did not get a chance to look at the jewelry, as I was in a rush. I told Chris that I'm currently an SJSU student and she showed me an app for smartphones called Aroundcampus.com where you can find deals for your school. She said if I showed her the coupon on my phone, she will give me 10% off my purchases. My archaic BlackBerry was so slow, so she said she will use the coupon off of her phone. This is long over-due but I ran into this store a few weeks back. I was looking for 80's clothing because I was running this obstacle course called Tough Mudder.. which is exactly what it sounds like. Anyway upon my entrance, I was greeted by Chris, who was very welcoming and friendly. She goes, "Hey there! How's it going?" And from then on, we just talked for 2 hours while I looked through her merchandise. It was cool because not only did I find an 80's shirt I was looking for, she has some pretty fresh button-downs in store too. Gotta look good for church nahmean?! I am giving this place major thumbs up and as many stars as Yelp offers because the items here are ridiculously inexpensive, there is a wide variety of clothes and other novelty items available. Oh she's got books too (I love me some books). And Chris is just hands down the sweetest lady on the block. God bless this woman and her business!! Chris (the owner) is the best! Not only does she provide high quality customer service to everyone who walks into the store, she goes above and beyond that and makes you feel like you're old friends. She is very warm and perhaps even a real angel...One day, a man came in to the store who looked disheveled possibly just released from the main jail which is down the street. It was during the winter months and he was wearing a wife beater tank top and athletic shorts. He had a shabby blanket that he used to wrap around himself for extra warmth. While in the store, he was pretty rude to Chris when she was just trying to talk to him. His demeanor was borderline hostile. As he was about to exit the store, I saw Chris go up to the man and hand him a pair of jeans and a warm peacoat off of a rack. She said something along the lines of "I'll pray for you" and some words of encouragement. She didn't offer him a deal or try to sell him anything, nothing. It looked like the man was going to cry when she did this. Obviously he was really going through it and Chris selflessly blessed him with these warm clothes from her store, despite his initial rude behavior. The prices are fixed here (shirts are all $X.00, shoes are all $Y.00, pants are all $Z.00, etc.) and most of the items are new with original tags. Chris even sells MAC cosmetics here (also all new) at HALF the price they retail for. She also makes her own jewelry which is very beautiful and inexpensive as well. I found some great clothes here that fit and were a great deal. i even found a sweet pair of dress shoes. More importantly, the woman who works there Chrys or maybe Chris ( I believe she said there's 2 Chris's or something but whatever), went out of her way to understand my situation and help me out in trying to find a good shirt, pants and shoes. I came here to get old school 20's clothes for my new job, a couple outfits I can wear throughout the week. It was the perfect place to go. I was downtown wanting to go on a thrift spree but there wasn't one in sight and so I resorted to yelp. Neu2U was the first thing that popped up and so the journey began. My friend and I took a nice stroll to the shop and when we arrived we were instantly greeted by Chris (the owner of the store). My friend and I took our time looking through everything in the shop and Chris did a great job at letting us know about her deals and showing us where all of the specifics were. After I tried everything on and made my purchases, I was stuck chatting with Chris and didn't even notice the time until finally two hours of just hanging out had gone by and in the end I bought some more stuff and got a free t-shirt out of it. The customer service was exceptionally great and Chris really made me feel like I was a regular. It's definitely worth a look around, if not for an item from her very own collection of jewelry or her many cute dresses/skirt suit items, then at least you'd had the opportunity to visit with a genuine kindhearted soul that'll have you walk out feeling a little happier than you were. read more
