Went to the appointment today. Was a little worried cause the location is a little....sketchy to me. Brought my dogs in and the receptionist was so nice! Filled out the paperwork quickly and went back with my dogs to the little waiting room. It didn't take long for the nurse to come in and get to know my dogs. (You can totally tell they love animals!!!) The vet and nurse were super sweet even though my little rat terrier (who is only 3) was freaking out the whole time and wiggling. My other dog is older and used to this vet visit stuff so she was relaxed and they praised her for being so good. Basically....this place is awesome. I don't care if I move, I will come back! I wish I could give more than 5 stars. Dr. Loudat and staff are very compassionate, caring and dedicated. Do not be fooled by the modest appearance of the clinic. They provide great care and are very knowledgeable. My golden retriever ended up passing away due to an incurable lesion but was given wonderful care to keep her last days active and comfortable. My friend recommended this place because the doctor will not give animals more than they need (that was my concern about other places earlier who may try to trick you into paying more). When i first came here i was a bit surprised because this location is indeed sketchy. Inside it is also very small and everything is super old schooled (i.e. they write down everything on a notebook for appointment lol). But the receptionist, assistant and vet are just awesome. Dr. Loudat is just amazing. He did all the test in front of me and explained to me what he is doing (I brought kitty to petsmart before who just took the kitty to the back and told me what they did). I also asked him lots of questions about cats (since it is my first pet) and he is very patient. The assistant girl is also very nice and i can tell they just LOVE animals. The price is decent and they also gave a lower price for follow up exam/vaccine. Compared with Petsmart, yes it is indeed not as big, high tech, no email remainders, no pet portfolio, everything is hand writing but I just love the people here. I also called several times this week when kitty had issues they were always so nice to help answer my questions and calm me down. So I am very happy that I changed to this vet and found this place!!! read more

Dr.Loudat is excellent, we have a 5 year old boxer and had been going to him since he was a puppy. When we moved to Katy, we decided to get another vet because of the distance. We have been in Katy 3 years and have seen 3 different veterinarians. Today my boxer got his dewclaw caught in something, when we went to the park for a walk. I called the 3 different places in Katy and no one would see him they didn't have any appointments available. They told me to go to an emergency hospital. I remember about west chase animal clinic and decided to give them a call. They told me to come in and they would see him. His dewclaw was removed and he is feeling better. No surgery necessary, when we called the clinics in Katy all of them said surgery was necessary because he needed to be out to have nail removed. Needless to say I will make the drive to Westchase from now on to see Dr.Loudat, I will no longer take my dog to clinics who are just there to make money and don't give the attention to pets like Dr.Loudat read more

I took my dog here because she started having blood in her urine. The place looks sketchy on the outside and inside is small, but everyone was nice and polite. My chihuahua has banfield pet insurance and though they're nice I always seem to have a different vet every time I come back. It'll be nice to see a familiar face, but here at Westchase clinic it seems to be just the receptionist, vet tech, and veterinarian. I was very impressed with this man he knows his stuff like not just the clinical stuff, but gave us advice on my dogs itchy paws and her constant licking of the lady bits. We usually clean her paws before she comes into the house so he recommended baking soda in the water to neutralize the itchiness along with some benadryl. My pit bull had no issue with him if I recall correctly while he touched and looked her over. She got put on antibiotics and given some ointment. The ointment worked immediately and the inflammation from her constant licking went away. We gave the baking soda a try and the pads of her paw became pink and smooth along with folds looking less inflamed. Like I said, very impressed. I thought it was funny how he kept calling my poor girl fat though she could stand to lose a few pounds and recommended dog food with lamb in it. We did that and bam! She's slimmed down to a good size that'll bring all the dogs to the yard ;) read more

This is not a fancy, frou-frou vets office with televisions on the wall, armies of technicians and state of the art machinery but they have all the basic equipment needed to care and cure your pet's illnesses and a wonderful bedside manner. Dr Loudatt will care for your pets as if they were his own, he gives honest, straightforward advice, he will not encourage you to put your pet on expensive medication to make YOU feel better but he will put your pet on the appropriate meds and the prices he charges are very reasonable. My 7 year old pocket bully Fifty got attacked by a dog and we spent all day looking for a clinic that can help him and we were in shock at how many we came across with rude staff, and doctors who just worked for their money. My boyfriend and I didn't give up and I'm glad we didn't cause we finally found WestChase Animal Clinic! Angelica helped us over the phone and was very genuine and cared to help our dog and asked us to come in asap. When we arrived makayla and Dr. loudat were just as genuine and caring and that made our dog the most comfortable he can be. I truly appreciate this clinic, I never ever made a review and I apologize if it's too long but this is the kind of place who cares for your pet just as much as we do.
