Went there for the first time today and was expecting worse since I read the reviews for fun. I…read morehad a set appointment at 11, arrived around 10:15, checked in, and was served right around 11. I did not experience any rude ladies there at the front desk. In fact, the gentleman at the front desk helped me with an issue and was actually nice to all others who went to ask for assistance. He was even pretty patient with non-English speaking people. The nurses do cycle to the front desk, but they go only to call the next person. What I did see were a few people (about 3-4 in the 45 mins that I was in the waiting room) coming in right at their appointment times expecting to be served immediately, without checking in. It's not accurate if you don't know the process. Let's be real, an appointment gets a planned time, but if they are early/late a bit, that's expected as these offices get LOTS of people who need lab work. A walk-in without an appointment at 10:15 had an estimated service time of 2:30 pm. Better to make an appointment. The nurse that took my blood was nice and professional! Visit this place for your lab work, just don't expect to be treated like you're at a 5-star resort and you'll be fine!

I witnessed patients being rude to each other, and patients being rude to the employees regarding the long wait times. It felt very uncomfortable to witness while sitting in the waiting room. Also, I waited for over two hours here, and then they turned me away because they said they are too full for today. Then, they told me to show up at 7 am tomorrow to get in line for them to open at 8 am. They did not apologize or seem sorry to say this to me. Management should make this place appointment-only if they cannot handle walk-ins. ALSO, if a Labcorp member is planning on leaving me a generic response to this Yelp review like: "Hi, We are sorry to hear that this was your experience at the Upland, CA Patient Service Center. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will look into this issue further." Just know that that is a USELESS comment for me and anyone else coming to your business. Why give me an extremely generic response to my message if you aren't going to fix this? Maybe actually fix the wait times by getting rid of walk-ins or having a much easier, well-functioning scheduling system. If it is fixed, then I will value your response.

Julieta was so sweet and offered to draw my blood while I was lying on a bed after I mentioned that I sometimes get dizzy after blood draws. I didn't end up choosing that option, but I thought it was very kind of her to offer. I plan to return to this location for my future needs.

That's why this review is so disappointing to write. On April 15th, I had a very negative experience with a phlebotomist named Michelle. From the moment I sat down, she was cold and dismissive--no greeting, no basic courtesy. Her tone throughout the appointment felt rude and unnecessarily aggressive. Instead of communicating calmly, she gave abrupt commands like "scoot up... no, more," without any professionalism or kindness. The actual blood draw was worse. On the first attempt, she missed my vein and tried to redirect the needle twice. During the second redirection, I felt a sharp pain and said "ouch," to which she responded by rolling her eyes before removing the needle. I ended up apologizing--despite being the one in pain--because of how uncomfortable the interaction felt. She never apologized. She then attempted the draw on my other arm, applying the tourniquet far too tightly and choosing the basilic vein. As soon as she accessed the vein, it began to blow. Despite this, she continued the draw and collected four tubes while I started losing sensation in my arm and hand. For context, I am a phlebotomist with 10 years of experience, so I am very familiar with proper technique and patient safety. I regret not advocating for myself in that moment, because the situation was not handled appropriately. Unsurprisingly, I developed a hematoma almost immediately in a very sensitive area. She provided minimal bandaging--it didn't even stay on--and gave no aftercare instructions. I had to manage everything myself at home, including icing and proper care. I have already reported this experience directly to Quest Diagnostics through the appropriate channels. I was told that a supervisor would address the situation and that this employee would be shadowed for retraining. While I appreciate that this is being handled internally, I am sharing this publicly so others are aware and can make informed decisions--personally, I would recommend avoiding this phlebotomist at all costs, if possible. This was one of the worst experiences I've had getting blood drawn, and it stands in stark contrast to the otherwise positive experiences I've had at this location. *I'm including pictures, including the bruising right after the draw and how it looks 24 hours later

Haven Elite Urgent Care:…read more Genuine care by a solid and thorough Doc. Attention to every detail. Appointments spaced out to allow for quality and personal one on one care and treatment. X rays on the premises. I was rear ended in a car accident. I was rocked. My back, neck and right shoulder were jacked up. I went to a hospital ER in the area and it was slammed. So I went on our good ol' Yelp and found this wonderful urgent care. Everything about this experience - the first phone call with Gabrielle, her care, concern and professionalism; her being on the ball and so efficient( btw she is a US Navy Veteran)- this set the tone for a great and calming visit. Dr Cho was incredible. Very personable, cool, related to me and was just so very thorough as he covered every possible avenue and took his time treating me, testing my reflexes and my areas of concern. He was very thorough. He showed me and detailed all of my x rays. The office was immaculate. Clean and very well organized. There were complimentary mini water bottles and some snacks for the patients. Great medical establishment.

I had explained to the doctor that my back had been injured for over 2 weeks so he prescribed 5mg of Flexeril for 10 days. After taking this and staying away from the gym for 6 days, there was ZERO improvement. The medicine wasn't doing a thing for me. So i called them to see if they could switch up my muscle relaxant and they said I'd have to come in again. WHAT! I was literally just there for the same exact problem and you want me to return?!? They just want another reason to bill my insurance, as if my first copay wasn't high enough. My advice- if you can wait for your primary doc- WAIT! OR find an urgent care where they really want to help and not just collect on insurance.

I went to urgent care because I had pulled a muscle from excessive coughing. I had strained the back of my neck, had soreness in my chest area, and developed a sharp pain in my side. The pain had been present for several days, and I simply wanted a medical evaluation and possibly medication to help with the discomfort. Instead, what I received was fear, panic, and emotional trauma. Within minutes of speaking to Kandin Maraquin, I was told that I was having a heart attack. Not that it needed to be ruled out. Not that there was concern. I was told I was having a heart attack and needed to go to the ER immediately. If I did not have transportation, I was told an ambulance would be called. I was completely blindsided. What was most alarming was how quickly this conclusion was reached. I felt like he immediately jumped to the worst possible scenario without taking the time to properly evaluate me, ask additional questions, or perform a thorough examination. The entire interaction felt rushed, dismissive, and lacking any level of compassion. I was there less than 10 minutes.. His bedside manner was nonexistent. There was no reassurance, no empathy, and no concern for the emotional impact of what he was saying. It felt as though frightening a patient was of no consequence. I was visibly upset, terrified, and in tears, yet there was no attempt to calm me down or explain things in a professional manner. I left that office genuinely believing I was having a heart attack because of how aggressively and confidently it was presented to me. Even after an EKG at the office, did not indicate that I was having a heart attack, I was still sent to the emergency room. Out of fear, I followed the instructions and spent approximately eight hours in the ER. The outcome? No heart attack. No cardiac emergency. No life-threatening condition. The emergency room physicians determined that my symptoms were consistent with pulled and strained muscles caused by excessive coughing, including the muscles in my neck and chest area. After hours of fear, tears, anxiety, and emotional distress, I was told exactly what I suspected from the beginning. I understand that medical providers must be cautious when chest pain is involved. What I do not understand is how a healthcare professional can communicate in such an alarming, insensitive, and unprofessional manner. There is a significant difference between saying, "I want you evaluated further to be safe," and telling a patient they are having a heart attack before a thorough evaluation has been completed. No patient should leave a medical office traumatized. No patient should leave feeling like they were treated as an inconvenience. No patient should leave in tears because of the way a healthcare provider chose to communicate. My personal impression was that the situation was handled with poor judgment, poor communication, and a complete lack of empathy. I left feeling that my concerns were not thoughtfully evaluated and that the provider was more interested in rushing me out the door than actually treating me. Patients deserve professionalism, compassion, and careful communication. Unfortunately, I experienced none of those things during this visit. This experience was frightening, unnecessary, and completely unacceptable. I would never return to this provider, and I sincerely hope management reviews how patients are being treated because no one should walk into an urgent care for a pulled muscle and leave believing they may be dying.
