We had Garry do a few things around the house for our 100 year old grandmother. He was very nice and professional and even crouched down (because he didn't want to get her chair dirty, even though he was spotless clean lol) with her to look at her old WW2 book from when she inspected the airplanes. I thought that was very nice of him to do that. His work looks wonderful and he doesn't use cheap parts unless you ask him to. Most plumbers would have ran PVC or PEX for a sprinkler repair but he used copper instead which I thought was a very nice touch and looks much better than a white pipe sticking out of the ground lol. All his joints are exceptionally clean and everything came out looking wonderful. He also fixed our bath tub which hasn't drained in years. He took video to show us what it looked like under the house before and after which I also thought was a nice touch. No other plumber we have hired has done that. The things that I liked the best about Garry was, he didn't try to rip off our grandmother like a lot of people try to do. He was very honest and caring. He took the time to explain everything to our grandmother and he even took a few minutes to teach me hour to solder a joint lol. I thought that was cool... Cost effective, quick, all-encompassing, timely, and on-call. They had to snake the main drain since my showers, toilets, and tub were bubbling over and not draining. At all. Garry said it was $95 at 9:30pm. He promised to be there within 30 minutes. He got there in 20. He snaked the drain, assessed a separate toilet issue, assessed my weird hot/cold issue (don't ask), and located the leak that DWP is ruining my life over. He told me how to deal with DWP, gave some toilet purchasing advice, and was pleasant to deal with. I winced, waiting for the final bill, but he only charged me for the initial $95. All that extra stuff? Free. Actually, less. $20 less after check in. So, $75. And it would have been less if I hadn't had this done at such a late hour. I texted Gary last night around 9:30, I heard from him within 5 mins and we had a plumber at our door between 8-10am. I could never imagine the plumbing nightmare that awaited when my house was finally remodeled. The entire drainage pipe from the back of my house all the way into the street was filled with roots. The roots were so bad in fact they had completely shattered the line and not even water could pass. To be perfectly honest I considered selling the house as is. Having done some research as to what the cost would be to replace the drain line to the street I was in a state of panic. And just when I thought it couldn't get any worse the trees from in front of the house had completely destroyed the line leaving all the way to the main drainage of the house in the center of the street increasing my estimated cost to nearly double what I thought it would be. I consider it an incredible twist of faith or just pure luck that I came across Gary an absolutely incredible team at Westco. On Friday I contacted Gary late in the evening and asked if there's any possible way he could come out the same day? I was completely shocked when Gary said of course. It was already after 4 and getting anybody to even answer the phone at 4 o'clock on a Friday evening is unheard of. Gary not only came through but was even earlier than he promissed. He arrived properly equipped with everything needed to do the job and despite how late it was in the evening he promised to take care of me. He started by rooting the line first and proceeded to run a camera through the line so we could find out exactly what the problem was. I've never met a more honest plumber than Gary. It's hard to come by honest people anymore and it's even harder to come by professional honest people who know exactly what they're doing. The camera clearly showed that the lines were full of roots and Gary suggested we start by replacing the main line from the house to the street. Because we didn't have any drainage to the house time was of the essence and Gary was kind enough to make arrangements to replace the pipe the very next day on Saturday. The team arrived promptly the next day and began working almost immediately. They worked through the day and used trenchless technology to replace what turned out to be a 40 foot pipe without having to dig up the entire yard. The process was simply breathtaking and amazing; as Gary predicted the entire line was completely shattered and filled with roots. It appears as though the tree in front of the house had even damaged the line from the house to the center of the street which would have been extremely expensive to replace. The team in Westco worked very hard cleaning the line out and used the latest in technology to recoat the pipe all the way into the center of the street to avoid having to dig 9-10 feet under the street to replace the line, saving me thousands of dollars as well as adding countless extra days of work without being able to use any of the restrooms in the house. From the beginning till the very end gary was there managing the team and making sure they stayed on time with everything. The job was completed exactly according to schedule and I couldn't be anymore pleased with the absolutely incredible job they did. It would be enough to say that Gary is honest, punctual respectful, professional and extremely accurate but there is more! He came in, fixed a pipe that was leaking under the house one day, and came back a few days later and fixed a leak n the wall that caused a great deal of water damage. He even called a water damage company to assessed the damage for the insurance company and was here when they opened the wall so he could fix the leak. We had three clogged drains, all unrelated. Gary, the owner, came out and handled them professionally and quickly. The price seemed a bit high for the snake work required, but when you have a clogged drain, the time-cost balance doesn't factor in as much. Where the value came in, was when one of the drains was still slow a few days later. He came back, re-snaked it and reminded me that all his work is guaranteed, and to call if any of the three drains had any more problems. It was time to get the sewer repaired. For eights months I spoke to multiple companies and at the end of it, the most honest one and the one that felt right was Garry @ Westco Rooter. He is the business owner of WestCo. WestCo reviews on Yelp and Nextdoor were additional points of reference and validation. Garry was straight forward, presented multiple options and the price was right. They were thorough, clean, very open to explaining every step and all done in less than eight hours (with the exception of the brick laying which was done the next morning). I ended up doing the pipe-bursting and replacing the sewer line (approx 40 feet) with multiple turns and a 7 foot drop. He has a trusting team and they all know how to get the job done. Had a clogged sink. Draino and snakes didnt help. It must have been deeper in the pipes. I called up Westco Rooter and set up an appointment at a very convenient time. The tech used some techno snake to find a clog way deep in the pipes. Apparently there was a piece of plastic from a toothpaste tube or similar. They was able to flush it through really quickly. I cannot agree more that 5 stars is not enough. This guy knocks it out of the park every time. He is always able to fit me in same day, and he shows up on time every time. We've had several plumbing catastrophes that he has bailed us out of due to the idiocy of our home's plumbing design (thanks 1960s). Each time he has been wonderful to deal with, his work has been excellent, and his prices have been affordable. Garry is the unicorn of of plumbers because he is prompt, diligent, honest, hard working, knowledgeable and reasonably priced!! I originally used his service to clean out some drains and found him to be very personable so when we needed all of our sewers to be replaced I called him. Garry took his time to fully evaluate the entire sewer line with his camera and actually told me I didn't have to change out all the lines at this time because there was some life left on some. I really appreciate his honesty and not up selling me on services that I do not need, this is a quality that is hard to find. When Garry and his crew showed up for work they were prompt, organized, clean and respectful. I was so surprised they completed this large project in less than 4 days and this included all the clean up such as patching up stucco, painting, putting pavers back and covering up all the trenches with cement and dirt.
