DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE. Very unprofessional and even worse customer service. Brought my car on Jan. 5 due to front damage from a car accident. ETC was a month because they needed to order a part that deployed airbags. Call in a month to check up progress, I'm told car is repainted and basically all fixed, just waiting on that part for the airbag because it's backordered. February passes by and give a call in March and they're still waiting for the part. April, same story but this time give an ETC of May 8, on May 8 they call and change date of completion to June 8. On June 8 i call and they say car part arrived but super busy so might get it done today might not. I'm told by Monday it'll be done. Give them the weekend to work on it and call Monday and they say YUP! Your car will be done by end of day 4pm and so i take time off work and on my way there i get a call from them and they switch time to 4:45. Upon my arrival AND waiting an extra half hour they tell me my car will not be released to me because they found a crack/leak on the radiator and need to order a part and do not know ETA of said part and then proceed to gaslight me and tell me that i would have not wasted my time if i would have not been so impatient. If they would have inspected my car upon arrival 6 MONTHS AGO perhaps their team of "mechanics" would have caught that issue considering the radiator is located in the front, where my car was damaged. IDIOTS!!! Save yourself the money you'll surely be paying for rentals and go some where else. Sam Velador and his team need to do better. I will be working with insurance to make sure they no longer recommend this place to any of their clients. read more

Their work is about a B-/B but their prices are good. Their turn around time is not the greatest. But once again for the price it's not too shabby. Anyone that has dealt with bodyshops will be able to understand the inconsistency of service for customers. I got my car back in somewhat of a timely manner but then again my buddy's car is there right now and has been there for about 2 months with nothing done to it. Randomly ran into this review and figured i should leave one. Western Auto Body has great prices and i have always worked with Eric Matsui like everyone else who left their comments here. Screwed up my bumper twice and had him pull it off remold (hi temp water) and repaint them... had another fender bender with the parents car way back when and he got the bumper fixed in no time. average time for my car in thier shop was roughly 6-8 days for bumper remolds and replacements. had a couple friends car's done there also back in the late 90s ( feel old saying this now since that was back hs) integra, and old hatch civic. they all got decent prices on services done. if i got into an accident again (knock on wood) would i go back? sure, great prices, decent turnaround. but like the other reviewers said.. just talk to the owner eric. read more

I can't review on their work, but I brought in my car for an estimate. After everything is said and done, their estimate was over 50% more than the one given by the insurance company (and its related body shop will gives life time warranty on the repair (paint) done). Maybe they do good work (I don't know), but (for my case) the estimate was significantly higher than those from other body auto / insurance company. Just keep that in mind. read more

I was referred to Western Auto Body by a friend (Thanks Will). Nice, low-key area and easy to find. I have a 2002 Silver Honda S2000. I was side swiped from the fender and across the door but thanks to Western Auto Body.. It was almost like it never happened. The fender was previously repainted and it looked slightly darker than the rest of the car (quite noticeable) and when I got my car back it all matched perfectly. Looks straight out of the dealership again! A+ work, A+ service, honest, & fast!. No headaches! They made the whole process with insurance painless. Dropped the car off Monday and was ready for pick up the following Monday. I personally dealt with Sam but I hear everyone is nice. Sam was honest and very responsive via email and phone. Someone had done a hit and run on my rear bumper...A friend referred me here. But many friends referred me to many different body shops LOL. Body shops are always tricky. When I read the yelp reviews, all have mostly 5 star reviews. What differentiated this place to me from the others was all the others have 5 star reviews but at least 2 or 3 one star reviews. This one had no 1 star reviews, it also had no 2 star reviews. I think the lowest rating was 3 stars. After doing my due dilligence and visiting about 15 body shops lol, I chose Western because I really liked the straight shooting style of Eric and their work looked the best to my eye.of all the shops I looked at. Another thing that made me feel comfortable was Eric mentioned his staff has been with him for many years, so low turnover. Some of the other shops (most recommended by my insurance company) looked like factories with nice fancy looking facilities, but it seemed like the turnover could be very high at those places. I did NOT want a n00b working on my car and I didn't want to feel like just another number. Western had very clean and organized looking facilities and Eric walked me around the place and showed me all the areas. He was very patient with my questions. After talking with him I felt he has very high standards and doesn't brag about it. It shows in the results of the cars I looked at. Quiet pride...When I got my car back it was beautiful as I had expected it would be. I asked Eric to help me do some minor modifications, which he agreed to (even though he didn't want to haha). My one year old car, which was in perfect condition, was broad sided. The insurance company wanted to use salvage parts but Frank went to bat for me and was able to get all new parts. I've been to Western 3 times already for non-accident issues (i.e. no insurance company involved), and each time they've given me a great price on the job. In each case, they saved me big bucks compared to what the dealer quoted. For one problem, the dealer said I had to replace my entire glove box at a cost of $650, but when Eric looked at it, he determined that all I needed to replace was one $21 part. They got the part, fixed the glove box, and it looks as good as new! Awesome job! read more

My friend urged me not to go there because they had a bad experience where they went to get the car and there was no work done on it! I went anyway because my daughter had gotten rear-ended and I took it there and they did a good job in pretty much the timetable they said. Also, my husband had gone there and gotten his car fixed but it ended up being late and the guy took care of him and gave him a discount. So, even though we could take it wherever we wanted we decided on taking it there. When I took it in the guy asked me if I had rental car coverage, which I didn't so he told me he would have it done by Friday. I never heard from anyone so I called late Friday and he said give us a call on Tuesday. I called on Tuesday around 1:30 and they said it should be done later today. They did call later and said to p/u after 4:15. When I went in I asked if there would be any adjustment for the lateness and he said no because there was extra work that needed to be done. While waiting after taking my credit card, I said to my husband, hopefully we won't have to take a car in to be repaired again, meaning no more accidents. The guy yelled at me across the office and said, "Lady, what will it take to make you happy?!" I said, that's funny because I was saying I hoped we had no more accidents not that we wouldn't set foot in there again. I said you must have a guilty conscience. He then charged me the full amount. So, I said I WOULD NOT set foot in there again! read more

This is the 2nd time that I've had to get my sideview mirror replaced in one year (disclaimer: NEITHER times were my fault!) I dealt with 3 staff members who were nice, efficient and not intimidating. They ordered my parts and called me immediately when they arrived. It literally took them 4 minutes to install (yes, I timed them). The prices were very reasonable and they did a great job. OK so I'm"m new to the area and seem to have some really bad luck for some reason. I had to park on the street for a couple of hours one day at work and some jerk decided they needed the tail lights from my truck! I was completely thrown by this but whatever, at the end of the day I was unable to drive my truck home. I called the insurance and knew that this was going to cost me but went through the motions for a claim. My insurance company gave me this shop and said that I could get the after market parts through them. I was sure that someone was going to take me to the cleaners since I obviously was in a situation of needing to use my truck on a daily. Anyways I went and talked to Sam at the shop, he gave me an estimate that was out of my range but it included everything I would need. He ordered everything we thought I needed and he put the lights together for me. Sam was awesome and only charged me for the pieces ordered, at his cost not markup, and didn't charge me any labor for putting them together. I was able to put the light cases on the truck myself and everything is great now.......Check your rear lights before getting into your truck, car, whatever......you never know when someone may decide they need them more than you do. I am definitely taking any future problems to this shop and dealing with Sam because he was more than fair when someone needed it. I feel like I lucked out in finding a great shop to future work so I guess things didn't turn out as bad as they could have. read more

Western Auto Body works directly with my insurance company (Commerce West) therefore, an appraiser (delay) is usually not necessary.
