Downside: no non-dairy milk. We had to go to the nearby supermarket for that. Who doesn't offer dairy-free in 2023? Bagels: good quality, maybe even the best I've tried in LA. I ordered an everything bagel with jalapeno cheddar. It was really nice that they had this combination bagel, as this is the first place that I've ever encountered this. Too bad I didn't take a picture of it, but it was pretty good with regular cream cheese. When I ordered, I didn't really see if they had any other kinds of cream cheese, but it appears online that they do sell tubs of flavored cream cheese. I also purchased a small coffee. The guy at the counter was very nice. He mentioned that if I am dining in, the coffee refills are free. At the end, my bagel and coffee costed around $9 which was definitely more than I was expecting to pay, but the bagel was worth it. This place was pretty easy to find. It is in the same shopping center as CVS, although the driveway along Hollywood Way appears to be a congestion point. read more

I was a bit surprised as it seemed more like a mom and pop shop than a chain spot -- and I say that in a good way! I ended up in Burbank to get a (free) Covid test at the CVS next door to Western Bagel (WB). To celebrate the negative result, and before catching the Uber back to Hollywood, I decided to try WB. It seems like a very average bagel emporium, with a lot of employees from the nearby Warner Bros. studios patronizing it. I got in right before a rush of folks, which was good because the service was kinda slow. I got a cheese everything bagel with cream cheese w/ chives and a regular coffee. Everything was good; not the best I've had but passable. The bagel was nicely toasted and the amount of cream cheese sufficed. The coffee was good...like Dunkin quality. I also couldnt resist getting a cinnamon bun. Again, not quite Cinnabon, but passable. I'm giving WB a 3.5 star rating. read more

They don't get the simplest junior high level order right then argue with you on the phone when they make a mistake, which costs you more money. So you pay for the missing item and pay Uber fees on top of that for their mistake. They are the BEST reason to spend your hard earned $$ at Noah's Bagels instead. This is my second time coming here. The first time everything was fine. This time I ordered ahead and got there when my order was supposed to be ready. It didn't come out for over twenty minutes. Which I understand. It's crowded. But no one there was servicing the order ahead/pickup crowd. People were checking behind the counter themselves to get their order. I imagine it would be less crowded if someone was tending to people waiting for their orders. Mine comes out. My hash browns are ice cold, I figure I can warm them up at home because I don't want to wait another 10 minutes. I ordered a cheese danish. They gave me a lemon pound cake. I went back and said this isn't what I ordered. The lady handed me another pasty that did not look like a cheese danish. I asked "is this a cheese danish?" She said "yes, cheese danish." So I figured she knew what she was talking about. I get home and crack it open because I'm like "where is the cheese?" It's a cinnamon pastry. Normally I'd just ignore mess ups but you made me wait over twenty minutes, my food is cold, and you gave me the wrong item twice and for whatever reason pretended to be giving me the correct item. OK let's start with the most important thing, the bagels. Well, those are just ok. Better than most in the area, though there's one around the corner that is much better, but I won't mention them here out of respect. So if you are looking for that big, doughy authentic New York bagel, you're not gonna find it here. These are light, airy, a little cardboardy, but not bad, especially because they know how to toast them right (you'd be surprised how many people can't toast right). And they have that nice tub of butter and they know how to schmear it right, and that goes for the cream cheese too. So why do I like this place so much more than most bagels places around here? First, the service is great. They have a lot of people working, and the line keeps moving (because they get a lot of studio traffic given the location right next to Disney, WB, and Uni). They have a great variety of sandwiches and they are quality sandwiches. The fresh hot turkey that steams in your face is a nice bonus. Another thing? Their coffee! It's not self serve junk, they've got a real espresso machine, and it makes all the difference. Their selection of drinks is great. And did I say, that even though I'm not a big fan of their bagels and I knocked them pretty good, they still have a great variety of them, even bialys. At the end of the day, even if it's a chain, there is a local love feeling to the place, and this location especially is a dependable spot. read more

Bought bagels and small cream cheese today. Was excited to go home and have this, I had friends who were coming over. Toasted the bagels and sat down to eat, and 6 inch long piece of hair was found , of course covered with the cream cheese. Could not believe my eyes, my friend looked at it and was disgusted., as she had already taken some and was taking a bite. I called the store, cream cheese is made in the store at night and night manager apparently packs them ( according to Silvia) who wasn't apologetic at all. All she said is bring it in to show them. I have been eating bagels from Western Bagel for so many years. I am addicted to them and eat several a day. Breakfast and sometimes dinner. I love all of the different bagels, so my only problem is which one do I eat. I put almond butter on my bagel for breakfast and make a sandwich for dinner with many different variations, chicken, salmon and just about anything I want to include. I have been craving bagels for some time now. And I looked it up on my trusty Yelp app. And Western bagel popped up... Honestly it was not my first choice but my first choice was sadly closed on Monday. :( Anyhow, after reading the reviews I was like why not let's find it a try! I walked in and honestly I kind of wanted to leave again but I was starving and like I said I was craving bagels. They were doing some work on their ceiling and part of their dining area was shoved together to not have anything under the open ceiling. I ordered my bagel sandwich, coffee and some other bagels. They made my sandwich fresh to order which was a perk. And I had the pastrami bagel and it was yummy! The other bagels were good as well but very overpriced. I got the specialty bagels... Everyone with cheese and jalapenos and they were $2.30 for one bagel. I was like wow... But it tasted good. Now this is where they lost the stars. I got a cappuccino and it was honestly the worst cappuccino that I have ever had. The espresso was old or coffee beans were burnt it I don't know.... All I know was that it was the most bitter burnt flavor coffee in the world. I will never ever get a coffee there ever again. The next minus star is because as the bf and I were walking out... They were sweeping all the crap that fell out of the ceiling and I noticed some pellet looking things and my bf pointed out that they were rat droppings. Eeewww!! Overall, I would not return. I have been a regular at this location for over 15 years. Most of the staff are pleasant. No warm smiles or greetings, but no big deal. I usually buy bagels and cream cheese and take them home to toast to my liking. Chinese and finger cookies are my favorite...delicious! My last few visits have been unfortunate. Twice I have encountered Chi-yan or She-man, can't really remember her name. Pretty face, but it covers up how ugly she is inside. I don't know if she doesn't like me in particular or maybe doesn't like herself. She has been so rude and snotty, and I'm led to believe it's because of my ethnicity. We all have bad days, but this has happened more than once. I sit and watch how she treats others, and she's sweet as pie...just not to me. Since my experiences with her, if she has stepped up to take my order, I kindly pass and wait for the next employee. I hope her days get better and she keeps her ugly attitude at home. read more

Now it's a Sunday morning, a line of 6 people, and you have 1 person helping customers. That person I can only guess is intentionally mimicking a sloth. If I were to turn down my motivation knob to zero, smoke a joint and not sleep for 24 hours, that's about the quality of the hustle displayed. Friendly servers but the absolute worst system for pick up orders I've ever seen. Door dash order never showed as ready so I headed over anyway. When I arrived (well after my scheduled pick up time) no one was available to ask about pick up orders, and when I did finally get to speak to someone I realized they hadn't even started my order. This is not the first time this has happened. Not sure if it's them being understaffed but their logistics system behind the counter is chaotic and has been for at least several months. Wish the management would acknowledge the problem and help the servers out who seem to be doing their best. This is a GREAT stop for bagels. Honestly, one of my favorite bagel places in Burbank. They also have a bunch of different cream cheese, and I've had 'em all... strawberry, veggie, plain, jalapeño, etc. and they're all super good. My favorite bagels from here are the egg bagel, classic wheat, cheese and jalapeño, strawberry, salted...honestly there are so many bagels here that you'd be wanting to come back to try another. If you go down the street to magnolia and get a bagel from a cafe you will pay at least a dollar more, and now that a Starbucks has opened up across the street is easy to get your morning fixes.
