Cheddy Wap
Adilene P.

7.5/10 I finally got around to trying Yeastie Boys after hearing so much hype and seeing them all over social media . I ordered the Cheddy Wap, I wish I had added cream cheese or some kind of aioli because it ended up being really dry . I'm not sure if they usually offer spreads on the side , but without it, the sandwich just felt like something I could've made at home . It wasn't bad by any means the bagel itself was fresh, and the ingredients were good quality but it didn't wow me. Given all the buzz , I expected something more unique or elevated. Maybe it was my mistake for not ordering one of the options that already comes with a spread because I can see how that would have made a big difference in flavor. Overall, it was decent and tasty enough just not memorable . Probably not something I'd come back for , but if I do, I'd definitely try one of their sandwiches with cream cheese. Points because service was fast, portions good for price

The best gluten free bagel sandwich I've ever had! They also offer dairy free options. I ordered the Mishka and it was so damn good. The bagels are chewy and the sprouts are such a great addition. I got in on the gluten free everything bagel and I've honestly not had anything like it. The service staff are warm and friendly and I'll definitely recommend and return! Thanks yeasty! Addendum- I did feel symptoms after eating here. If you have celiac disease like I do, be careful and maybe chat with them about cross contamination. I didn't do that and suffered for it.

Studio city

It's always a treat when we get breakfast from there. Our favorite is the Cheddy Wap on a blueberry bagel. Make sure you guys give them a tip. They always are working so hard and that area in studio city gets really packed. You'd benefit better ordering before and just picking it up. Parking is kinda tricky in that area as well so bring someone who can just hop off and pick it up. This place is easily one of my go to places when I'm looking for some breakfast on the go.

I think Yeastie Boys is fine but I may have had my expectations too high from the hype on social media. I had an everything bagel with turkey, tomato, bacon, cream cheese and sprouts. It wasn't bad but the sprouts threw me off a bit. I think this was an example where less would've been more.

After

My three stars are based on the fact that some of what they offer deserves 5 stars and some just one. I'll start with the good stuff: FIVE STAR WORTHY I went with the classic... the Lox Deluxe. And I will say it excelled in everything that goes between the bread: the lox was of very high quality, the cream cheese creamy, the onion, tomato and capers fresh and in perfect proportion. There was a bit more cream cheese than I prefer (particularly since they refer to it as a schmear, which traditionally implies restraint, but it's easy enough to remedy that with a squeeze and a wipe. But in general, everything that went inside the bagel merits five stars. POINTS DEDUCTED FOR... So why only 3? The bagel itself and the attitude. I realize there are two schools of thought when it comes to bagels. Chewy or crunchy? Thick or thin? NY or Montreal. Well, I am a native New Yorker who grew up on big doughy bagels but converted to thinner and crunchier later in life. But even when I like my bagels big and airy, I expected a certain flavor. This bagel was doughy and lifeless. It reminded me of bagels you buy packaged in a grocery store. It was not worthy of the delicious lox it was showcasing. Of course, there is a simple remedy for that, scooping and toasting. I requested they do that, but was informed by the guy who took the order that the guy who makes the sandwiches doesn't like to scoop when they're busy. I offered to scoop it myself to which he replied, do you want a bagel or not? I did, so I asked for assurance that they toasted and he said they did. So I went with that, substituting an everything bagel for the sesame it usually comes with (they were willing to do that, which I appreciated). When I got my bagel, it felt doughy and flavorless (though what it heals was magnificent) I ate half and carried the rest home. When I got home, I deconstructed it, scooped the remaining half and toasted it twice. You can see it with and without toasting below. How would I compare it to Hank's or Courage Bagels. Hanks makes a (much) better bagel, and I love the variety. But YB has a better sense of proportion of the fillings and the fillings are at least as good. Neither approaches Courage if you don't mind the wait and the cost. Oh, speaking of the cost, I would say that $14 was reasonable given the quality of the lox. Not sure I'll try it again, but if I do, it'll be on a week day when they are less busy and hopefully willing to make it the way I like it.

Smoked Salmon Lox Bagel Sandwich
Michelle T.

Ordered the Smoked Salmon Lox Bagel sandwich. Delicious!! Highly recommend. I love bagel sandwiches!!! And this hit the spot. Right outside the Studio City Sunday morning farmers market. There's shade near the sidewalk so waiting for the food is chill. Service is a bit slow because it was busy, waited about 10 minutes for it. But it was worth!

I first heard of Yeastie Boys on Vanderpump Rules. Excited to stumble upon the food truck in Studio City and no line! Grabbed a half dozen bagels for $20 - these are huge and bready, not the NY style that I was expecting. I got 3 everything, 1 sesame and 2 plain. These were great toasted and next time I will try a sandwich!

$7 for the tiniest lemonade in the world, two sips. note the attached dog park.
andrew a.

Way too greasy for me. The bagel is okay but kind of the consistency of wet cardboard. A gut bomb. My least favorite thing about Yeastie Boys other than the ridiculous price ($7 for the baby lemonade? really) is that they mostly imported the rude, passive aggressive customer service from New York. I don't care for it in NYC at a well appointed restaurant but it is especially foul standing on a nasty dog shit stained street in Venice with the sun heating up the smell of homeless and other things as wrong as the price, grease, poor attitude and general entitlement of Abbot Kinney. Too many better places for bagels and everything else in LA, these are lost calories that are better spent almost anyplace else.

Cheddy Wap on Cheddar Bagel
Nicole R.

I ordered the Cheddy Wap which was alright but kind of lacking flavor. Got it on a cheddar bagel which was just a bagel with a piece of cheese melted on top lol. Thankfully I ordered a hash brown and threw it on there and it helped a bit. The OJ was really fresh and delicious. Maybe it's because I'm from the east coast, but wasn't super impressed. It was just fine.

Lox
Pantea M.

We ordered two different bagels from them, and neither came close to our expectation. The creams cheese felt too much and was very dominant in each bite. The salmon wasn't fresh and the bagels were also not fresh.

Ruebenstein
Raya M.

I'm excited to try different bagels from here but we were really happy with the ruebenstein! Delicious, perfect portion for breakfast and the pastrami in here was quality!! Very impressed with the way they cooked the meat. I always recommend getting a hash-brown :) Service was great, they were a bit slow because they were shorthanded but they were very nice and apologetic. It was a short line but I waited 20 minutes to order, and took less than 10 minutes to get my order. Next time I would love to try their mini bagels and their lox bagel sandwich.

Lox Deluxe
Zan L.

One of the better bagel spots in Los Angeles. Courage Bagels is still my favorite, but Yeastie Boys really delivers every time I stop by. It's run out of a food truck and they are very fast with the orders, you won't have to wait very long. Parking can be a bit tricky, but there are many different options in this area. Today we ordered the Lox Deluxe and the Cheddy Wap. The Lox Deluxe was my favorite of the two and had a great ratio of ingredients. Everything tasted fresh as well. The Cheddy Wap had a great spread and I loved all the cheese so would definitely recommend either. Overall, a really solid bagel and I definitely would recommend to anyone searching for a great to go option.

I grabbed an onion bialy with cream cheese, and I am still thinking about it hours later. The flavor was unreal. It tasted like the best part of French onion soup, just without the soup. Rich, savory, and perfect with the cream cheese. Blissful is the only word that fits. My youngest went with an everything bagel, plain, and she lit up after the first bite. Soft, squishy, exactly how she likes it. She looked at me and said, "Dad, how come you haven't brought me here before?" I told her that sometimes, for great things, you have to wait in life. We also grabbed the nectar of the gods (Diet Coke) and an apple juice. Out of the five times I have picked up bagels here (ordered online and in person), only two have been correct. Three times I have brought home my orders open them up to find a missing topping. Also, the manager should be checking the order before it goes out. This is happening far too frequently for a To-Go food shop.

I walked in today around noon knowing that they close early. I wish they were open at least until 3 or 4pm like other bagel shops are. Got a somewhat friendly hello from Benito and he took my order. Let me not forget to mention that they have their favorite/regular customers and I don't know whether or not I fit in that category. The service here can be hit or miss. Place was somewhat clean, I had to clean my own table and there were some tables inside and outside that needed to be cleaned. Nice music was playing overhead and the atmosphere can be a little more soothing and warm. Food came out very quickly. Ordered their Onion Bagel Plain Shmear add Egg, $3.99 American Cheese, $1.29, Everything Bagel $4.69 Plain Shmear, add egg $3.99 add small slice of tomato for 0.99. Also, got their small 100% Orange Juice & their yummy, creamy spread.. Honey Almond. For all this the price came out to be $31.73 including tax and tip not included. EXPENSIVE!! You can get a dozen eggs from your local grocery store for just the add-on eggs on my bagels. My food was nicely toasted and everything was right with my order. It tasted DELICIOUS, FRESH, and the portions could have been just a little bigger. I will still go back to this place & instead of getting 2 add-on eggs on each bagel, I will only get one. They also do catering, pickup/to-go orders, and third party apps as well. There are many bottled beverage options as well, such as juice, water, etc... Parking lot is always full, shared with a lot of other businesses and has one gender neutral restroom.

Service by Brandon fell short, when I walked in yesterday at 1pm. He was trying very hard to take my order. I think he was a new employee or something. Still in the process of learning his job. Didn't smile, was stiff, and not pleasant at all. I ordered 2 bagels. An Onion Bagel with egg, bacon, avocado, tomato & Mozzarella cheese. The cheese was not melted, the bacon was not crispy at all and barely any bits to it. The 2nd bagel was a lox bagel with capers, chives, cream cheese, lettuce & tomato. On everything bagel. Both bagels were not toasted to my liking, was cold, lox was not fresh, and the blueberry muffin that I ordered never made it to my table. I had to go twice to ask him for my Decaf Iced Vanilla latte and the 2nd bagel(lox) was not cut in half. Place was somewhat clean, there were 2 tables that was dirty with napkins, cups from the previous customer/S, before I even walked into the shop. No music playing overhead, and parking is in the back. The shop is nice and big with inside and outside seating. The last star that I gave; is for Brandon to do his job well and I do see that he's got potential. Good luck to him! I will be back to try other bagels and other flavors.

First off, found this place after influencer Violet Bass showed the gluten free breakfast sandwich she got here and it looked great. I like the vibes of the place. The issue is their staff didn't get multiple people's orders right. I can tell because someone else came to the counter to say they got something wrong and they got mine wrong (didn't do eggs runny or no tomatoes) The person taking orders multiple time had to turn to a coworker to translate to Spanish which was a bad sign. Honestly, order online so they get it right but that shouldn't be necessary as a walk in. The food was good but not as good as I hoped. The hash brown was a little too soft and not crisp. All the bacon on my sandwich slipped out to the bottom. It was a little overly salty. Didn't get the egg right. It was good with easy potential to be 5 star good but just was 3 star good sadly. I will come back in hopes they get it right but can see this place failing because if two people had their orders messed up while there, that is not a harbinger of success. If this place gets the food consistently right like I saw they did for the person they hired to promote on insta or how their food looks in the pictures, this place would be a gem. Get quality control down before you promote! $10 for a breakfast sandwich isn't crazy priced these days if you nail it. It isn't worth it if it's 3 star quality though. Hopefully they get it right because this place has potential and surprised it isn't more packed when I pulled up only to quickly get why.

I placed the order online and headed over to this busy section of Studio City. Street parking can be tricky especially in the afternoon, and there are 'parking ticketers' out in force. This was my first time here at this location, but they had a handy takeout window at the one end, and a friendly guy handed me the bag. As for the food, I could only eat half of the sandwich; one reason is because it was a Lot of sandwich and second, I didn't really enjoy this for the most part (I did give the other half to a hungry co-worker who did like it). Then my favorite part, the cookies. I ordered two orders (two come in an order) so I had four to enjoy. The first bag was a decent sized pair of cookies, but they shafted me on the second order. This was basically one cookie cut to make two which was clearly noticeable compared to the other order. I was too far to return these but next time, it's something I will check on before leaving. I didn't have this problem the first time I came here (even though it was a different location) but as for anything, I recommend checking your order prior to leaving. It didn't taste low quality, just very muted and not something I'd order again, especially since I get matcha (and strawberry matcha) pretty often elsewhere. My husband got the pistachio latte and liked it, but mentioned it leaned a bit too sweet for his taste. For food, we tried the breakfast bagel and I genuinely can't believe how bland it was. It had all the components you'd expect, everything bagel, eggs, cheese, aioli, bacon, and more, but somehow it just fell flat. I kept wanting to add salt or some kind of sauce to bring it to life. I actually stopped eating it because it didn't feel worth it to keep going for something so flavorless. The one highlight was the spinach quiche.
