First of all, it was a Tuesday evening at 3pm and no one was in there but 2 technicians I ask for a pedicure the Basic the girl was in a hurry I don't know why she wasn't busy she didn't do half of what she was supposed to do according to the procedure info, when I got home I noticed on my big toes the polish was puddled and went back and had her redo them I believe a 5 year old could have done better. she didn't offer a beverage no music and no TV it was totally quiet in there this place use to be really good, I have been their numerous times I will not go back. This is my favorite nail spa, after trying many around my home, i am sticking to this one for almost 2 yrs now. They are clean, not over pricey, wait time is never more than 5 mins until now. Offer beverages including wine, sodas and water. Generally have a package for basic manicure and pedicure for $30. Jessica is my favorite, she does work carefully and makes sure she isn't hurting you and isn't slow. Recently they started card system, where you get the card signed every time you go, after 10 visits one pedicure is free. I am going to see how mine goes, i am done with 2 boxes of 10 yet. read more

I have searched Fort Worth for a really nice place to get my nails done that is clean, has great service every time, and gives me the experience I'm paying for. Western Nail Spa is it! A problem I have with other nail salons I've been to is that the technicians vary so greatly. Unless you go back to exactly the same person, it can be extremely hit and miss. Every time I go to Western I get a quality pedicure (which is the service I use as my measuring stick with nail salons) regardless of who performs it. They have a great selection of OPI, China Glaze, and other polishes, and a new brand I've started using (ZOYA) which has fewer chemicals. I have never had to wait to be helped, and they have a nice welcoming attitude when you go in. The chairs are nice, just be sure to get one with massage functions. I sat in one that didn't work once, but didn't notice it until half-way through my pedicure! (More my fault for not paying attention). They also have lots of options to choose from, and the ones that are a bit pricier ($45) have tons of steps to them. For instance, I usually get the tropical or mint pedicure and it includes a nice massage, buffing, several types of lotions and scrubs, and paraffin wax. They don't rush you, and always do a great job with the polish. The location is easy to get to, right off 35W. I'd just suggest not going near rush hour, as the traffic on Western Center backs up pretty badly. read more

When I arrived as a lunchtime walk-in, I looked around and waited but no one spoke to me. Then I noticed that my wife was already seated and was just beginning to soak her feet for a pedicure. There were 3 employees present, 2 were on their cellphones, and one was working on a gentleman's deluxe pedicure towards the back of the store. I went ahead and sat myself down in the pedi chair next to my wife. It was about 3 mins before one of the ladies came and set up my foot soak to start the pedi. We both asked for basic spa pedis and my wife also got a basic manicure. The service was okay, and the pricing was pretty standard. $26 for a basic pedicure, and $10 for a simple manicure. The staff were quiet except for occasionally speaking to each other in Vietnamese. There were some awkward silences, but the mani pedis were just fine. I do wish that they had greeted me at the door, and spoke to me directly, instead of "around me" during the service, but overall they were all polite when they did address us directly. The total for our 3 services were $62.00 which is pretty affordable. The positives for me was that it was nice and quiet around lunch time on a weekday, also the pricing, and their location is close to our home and work. *If you're looking for an affordable nail spa, and you don't mind not being treated as if you're anyone special, this place is just fine. read more

This place was not as bad as previous reviews indicated. I stopped in because it was on my way home for work and didn't read any reviews until I was sitting in the waiting room. Honestly, I began to get a little worried but I figured I was already there might as well give them a try. They services were reasonably priced and they have several options it you wanted to trick out you mani/pedi. (mani's are only 10 bucks with a pedicure) Overall it was a fairly typical experience. All I wanted was super sharp square acrylic overlay on my big toes and 3 people had to come over and see what I was trying to ask for. All people working at a salon should have learned how to do these things in school. ThI even had a picture to show exactly what I wanted and it was apparently to confusing. They kept rounding out my corners and that is not what I wanted. The last person they got to come look at my toes was an employee who was standing smoking outside coughing over my toes as he was fixing the problem. I was even burned a few times with the drill. The chairs are outdated and are not pleasing to look at and to sit in them is very uncomfortable. Will not be coming here again. read more

I came here out of frustration. The traffic on 35 was so horrendous I just decided to exit, get a manicure and wait for the traffic to disperse. I always get a gel mani mat my usual salon. They typically last me 2 weeks and I have never experienced chipping. The mani I had here chipped and began peeling after 3 days. Huge waste of 45$. I won't be back. read more

Worst nail salon I've been to in a long while. I've been getting my nails done for years. After coming on a Tuesday for a new set of dip nails two nails broke completely off. I went in a day later to get them fixed and instead of soaking the broken ones off the technician was going apply more dip to "fix" them. She was offended when I asked "you're not going to soak them off and replace them". Her response was no but I instead and she shoved me off to another technician to fix. I have been coming to this salon since this winter. I got hooked on eyelash extensions and I was referred to this place. Eventually I moved, but the lady near my home charges $95 for a lash refill, and that's out of my budget. I kept coming to western nail spa for the price. The lash application was a nightmare the first few times. I would cry the entire time. She uses lashes that are way too long even when I told her to use shorter, less heavy ones. I was so diaappointed, I ended up just letting them fall off after this last refill. I attached a pic. They claim their extensions are 1:1 ratio, 1 false lash per lash. This is bullshit. They just clump up lashes and glue them all together. Can you imagine how painful this is when it actually falls into your eye? In addition to this, they will answer the phone in that room. It's a tiny room with 2 people. Super unprofessional, and of course they speak in another language. But that's to be expected. Also, their manicure is extremely weak, their polish selection is so bad that any high schooler has a better one. And mine chipped the very next day. If you add this up.... $45 for lash fill, $20 for pedi, 18 for mani, and 10-30$ for waxing... Times 2 (twice a month)... That's around 150/mo. I'm not coming back. I wish I could give zero star. Just left. Will never be back. I've been in twice before. Never dazzled but friends gave me a gift certificate so I went in for a pedicure and pink & white fill. It was by no means busy when I arrived. There were 2 other customers and 6 staff. I waited 10 min for a pedicure chair to be readied for me. Ok. No biggie. About 15 minutes into pedicure, I asked if my fill could be started. I told them I had to leave in 50 minutes to pickup my child. I was told there wasn't enough time BUT they could fill JUST the pink to try and accommodate me. I'll add there were staff doing nothing the whole time I was there too. So I suppose it's my fault for not being more proactive but I didn't want to appear to be impatient or rude. When I said that I did not want just half the fill- then the manager told me I could come back later to get the fill. Ummm negative. I am a working mom- as I know many yelpers are- and there is nothing worse than wasting "found time." There was also a young girl asking for a design next to me. The only design the worker said she can do is zebra stripes. That seems really not right too but I never get designs so that's a side bar comment. read more

Pretty much your typical nail salon. The people are friendly. The service was fast and my pedi/mani was great. I got gel nails on my hands and haven't had any problems with them so far. The lady recommended them do to my type of work since the regular polish chips really quickly. Of course, I asked about a thousand questions and she answered them without hesitation or annoyance. Very good!! She took her time and they look wonderful. The prices are comparable to other nail places. They offer you a "menu" when you sit down for your pedi/mani so you can choose which treatment you would like and know what you are being charged for up front. They also have little pedi massage chairs with DVD players for the little ones! I would recommend this place to those looking for nail services. Have had my eyebrows waxed here before as well and it was done well. I will be returning for my next pedi/mani! ENJOY!! read more

I have been here several times but it keeps going downhill. First of all, my nails look terrible 2-3 days in every time! The guy who was doing my nails this time had filthy nails with dirt underneath them and he smelled like cigarette smoke!! It looked like he had not washed his hands in days! That is disgusting to me when you are working on someone's nails! Your nails should at least be clean! I won't be going back again. This nail salon is located in North Fort Worth off Western Center Blvd and provides a variety of nail services for their clients. I frequent here on occasion to get a gel manicure or pedicure when I'm close to home and need a quick nail service. There are a couple manicurists that always do great work, but it's not a consistency of quality nail services being provided here in my opinion. On a couple of occasions I had chipped nail within a couple of days of getting them done or there was a miscommunication on exactly what I wanted my nails to look like and it was very frustrating to not receive exactly what I paid for. Overall, if you need your nails done, they can do. But just be crystal clear about what you want and direct about the quality you expect here. read more

You can get a standard pedicure for the advertised price on sign, but you will want to upgrade to the most relaxing deluxe pedicure you could imagine. You are pampered and spoiled no matter how busy they are. You go in, get a glass of wine, or soda, sit back in a comfy massage chair and get a hot stone, hot wax, reflexology and amazing pedicure. let me start off by saying i am a STICKLER when it comes my nails. i have been getting my nails done faithfully every two weeks for over TWO years now!!!! TWO YEARS, and i am soooo proud of how healthy they have grown to be! i am currently in fort worth working, so i've only been here two months. i've been to two different nail shops, and they've all done an okay job but i figured it was someone out there who could do better. okay so i'm pissed!!!!!!! i went here because it was closer to my hotel, it had decent reviews, and i didn't feel like being in traffic. i went on a THURSDAY morning, NO ONE WAS THERE. so i was like great i won't have to wait!!!! TAMMY IS WHO DID MY NAILS/TOES! i got a toe polish change and a gel polish change on my hands. my nails are almond shaped, which is the BOMB BTW. okay so anywho, no one seemed to be friendly, helpful in helping me pick colors (because i have anxiety attacks over which color to choose), no one offered me a drink etc. so i was like okay okay whatever i have work later so i don't need to be tempted with an alcoholic beverage ANYWAY. so, i sit down to get my toes done and TAMMY appears to have an attitude (for what reason? idk). there was no "hey how are you?" "how is your day going" NOTHING. so i'm like okay maybe she's having a bad day whatever. so i finally just pick some random nail color because i honestly had no idea what to get. so she does my toes okay, then i'm like hmmm idk if i really like that color.....but remember she appears to have an attitude. so, i was like i'm not going to ask her to take it off, i'll just get a different color on my fingers. okay, so after i ask, she POPS up out the chair to go get the other color (still appears to have an attitude) and motions me to go sit down in her chair to do my nails. i'm like okay okay she starting to push it but i'm going to keep calm. so, let's fast forward. she's doing my nails, and i told her i wanted them cut down a bit.....she cut them way toooooo low first of all. like WAY TOO low. so at this point i'm taking deep breaths trying to calm down. then we move to the shape. she's MESSING UP MY SHAPE. LIKE LITERALLY. one nail was round, the next was square round, round almond, pointy, just all types of MESS. oh btw, SHE DIDNT EVEN ASK WHAT SHAPE. SO IM GUESSING SHE ASSUMED I WANTED EVERY SHAPE. remember i said my nails were almond, so you would think she'd assume almond....but okay, i'm still believing she's having a bad day let's move on. so i stop her and say i like my nails almond.....do you know this lady snatched my hand, filed ONE NAIL almond and tried to start BUFFING MY NAILS. she didn't ask "like this?" "how's that" "anymore you'd like me to fix?" NOTHINGGGGG. i was like ummm can you fix this one, and that one, OH, and that one TOO!! likeee??? am i crazy?? or is she? anywho, lets fast forward some more because at this point my heart is POUNDING. sooooo somebody walked in, i guess a REGULAR client. and she was like "HEYYY TAMMY GIRL, GO AHEAD AND FINISH UP IMA WAIT ON YOU" when i tell you tammy started moving like the speed of LIGHT!!!! she RUSHED through my nails soooo fast y'all, i literally was in that chair about to cry. i felt robbed, abused, hurt, every bad word you can think of was me. i spent $33!!!!!! i'm still so hurt. this review does not express how hurt i was/still AM. i am HEARTBROKEN. this was on a THURSDAY...saturday one of my nails chipped, and i felt a piece of my heart chip as well. i'm going to let y'all see a before and after of my nails so y'all can feel this hurt too. the set of pics, where my nails are brown, are how my nails looked the week before i went into this nail SHOP to get them redone, and the set of pics with the other color (don't even know what to call that) are how my nails currently look....(4 days after my encounter with tammy). long story LONG, DONT GO HERE!!!!!!!! PLEASE. IT'S DULL, THEY DONT PLAY NO MUSIC, EVERYBODY LOOKS MAD, THEY DONT OFFER NO WATER, AND TAMMY??? JUST SAVE IT. I use to love this place. They have kid chairs so I could bring my daughter and still enjoy my pedi. Well now the dvd players don't work and the employees of course don't speak English. They can't and haven't fixed the dvd player in the last 3 mo. This last visit I'm trying to explain how to fix it to my daughter with no success and the employees ignore her. I am so done I spend at least $100 a mo here and I left more frustrated than when I arrived. read more
