These guys are great, professional phone staff, fast trustworthy technicians. We live in an older home plagued by intermittent main line back up. Decided to change plumbers when I needed two shower stems changed. I would have given 5 stars but they stumbled a bit. Was able to get quick appointment. Cesar showed up. Because of the depth of my shower stems in the wall, he had to find a tool which wasn't easy. When found, he broke his tool because it was plastic. He said he'd get another and have dispatch call for another appt. Later next day dispatch called to say that he just apprised her of the details. She was working on it. Next day nothing. Next day (now we are three days later from first attempt) I called her and she apologized and said a new team would come tomorrow, a Saturday but that the labor and parts would be free. I already had the parts, but the savings was going to be nice if they are successful. New team showed up -- a father/son duo both named Ruben -- and after a few hours and a trip to a hardware store, they fixed it. I did three loads of laundry on Friday afternoon and suddenly around 6:30 PM the bathtub and shower filled up with dirty water! The toilet would not flush. Since it was so late on a Friday, I was worried that we would have to wait all weekend to get it fixed. I called Western and the kind lady on the phone arranged for a plumber to come within the next couple of hours. Johnny Decker and his apprentice showed up and cleared the line in no time, in the dark no less. What a relief. I will definitely call them again when I need a plumber. I am a property manager, and my tenant's shower would not shut off. She was able to turn off the line to her own condo unit, but then she didn't have any water. Western Rooter was able to come out in a few days (yes, all plumbing companies have been exceedingly busy during Covid-19), to find that there was a broken valve inside the shower wall. The only negative (not Western's fault) was that since the tenant was not available until 3:30 PM, that meant the plumbing job had to go to time and a half, as they weren't able to finish until 8:45 PM. My other comment, though again, not really their fault, is that they had to take out tile to get to the problem. I have seen my tile guys carefully chip out tile (kind of like a sculptor), and get the tile out without damaging it, so they can clean off the edges and use it again. The plumbers took it out such that all the tile ended up in little pieces -- oops! Again, that is not what they are trained for. they made sure the area was clean before they left. So, all together, I very much trust this company, they aren't going to try to gouge you on price, and they are all trained very, very well. read more

Our drain was clogged and water was backing up in the shower and the toilet. This is the third time we've used them since we've lived here. In the past, running the snake was sufficient to clear the line. This time, the snake didn't take care of the problem. The next day, Carlos and Josef came for hydro jetting and cctv to determine the severity of the problem. Carlos and Josef were both very helpful. As I watched with them on the video, they kindly explained to me all the issues as they encountered them. I'm an inquisitive person, so I had plenty of questions, and they thoroughly answered all my questions with great patience. Perhaps I don't know better, but I believe they went above and beyond...they went into the crawl space under the house (who wants to go there?) to get a better understanding of where the pipes run. They also found another clear out in there so they even tried running the hydro jetter through there as well. I say all this to say that they were very persistent in trying to identify the problem and help me out. They weren't in a rush to just finish the job and get out of there. They were clearly trying to help us out by clearing the problem for us, and they were successful. I think the two of them genuinely enjoy their job which helps in terms of providing good customer service. Definitely would recommend Western Rooter, and Carlos and Josef in particular. read more

Just had an epoxy resin coating done by Western Rooter last week and it seems to have been done well. Camera work was done before the job to show issues and problems with an existing 40 foot cast iron pipe under a concrete slab and spray coating was recommended by multiple companies. This pipe has given me problems off and on every 1-3 years over the last two decades. I have dealt with both roots and obstructions. Western Rooter explained the process and recommendation the clearest with the least pressure. Their estimate was extremely fair and competitive to others so I went with them. Plus they seem the most truthworthy by reputation and they did not disappoint. Truthfully I may not know for years exactly how successful the spray coating will work out but the "after" camera work and explanations of the product give me high confidence. Props to Justin for his patience and explanations, to Daniel for his spray coat expertise, and Byrant, for making the job go smoothly and professionally. They've done two jobs for me. One was replacing a long, damaged a sewage line 7 feet deep (at it lowest point) and they recently returned to clear out a different sewage line for $150 ($30 of which was for travel (which was fair considering where I live.)They were awesome. The first job I believe cost around $7,000-$8,000 4 or 5 years ago, which was a very competitive bid at the time and they did a great job and stayed on schedule. And they kept me appraised of any problems they ran into. They replaced the whole pipe and connected it to the city's lines at the demarcation point. And additionally they did it in the allotted time they said it would be done. Just honest competent people. That's really all I ask for and they delivered. I have my mainline drain cleaned yearly due to root issues. The company I had been using had raised their prices. I checked with Western Rooter & Plumbing and was quoted $100 for a mainline maintenance cleaning. Renee came out and spent probably an hour making sure my line was clean and clear of roots. He was extremely efficient and concerned and gave me suggestions for a more thorough hydra jet cleaning should I opt to do that in the future. No pressure at all to have it done, merely a suggestion. The $100 charge was $25 less than many other companies charged for the same service. I was very pleased with the service and with Renee's customer service and demeanor. Bottom line: Justin and Omar rock. We recently bought a 1961-built house which had been unfortunately not well maintained and sure enough, we started to have some serious plumbing problems. Shower not draining, toilet backing up, and most concerning- the smell of sewage. Western Rooter was able to send over the guys the just a couple hours after I called. Justin had me watch as he ran the camera through our main line and I objectively got to see our serious root problem. The guys fixed the problem with a super powerful, state-of-the-art Water Jetter system. They then did another live video re-examination and I got to see the pipes wide and open. Best of all, the showers now drain, the toilets flush well, and no more sewage smell! You can tell when guys are experienced diagnosticians, and these guys have it. Jared was great. Courteous and knowledgeable. Had a leaking shower. Needed new cartridge, but old cartridge was basically stuck, caked in by 10 years of deposits. Jared spent over 90 minutes carefully chipping away the deposits and plastic, trying to preserve the valve. Finally got it removed and not without a ridiculously hard effort! Replaced it and tested, and now it works. And I am now more knowledgeable about Delta shower cartridges! Thanks Jared and Western. Always dependable. Solid work.
