Bar 'Screwy' doesn't even deserve one star, but I wasn't given a "no star" option. Sebastian was our "server"? My wife and I were seated at the bar by the hostess. We sat at the bar and talked amongst ourselves for 15 minutes without even being spoken to by anyone, including a Bar Louie employee. Finally, Sebastian walked up and we were happy to see him. We wanted to order some food. He then explained to us that he would not serve us. We have no idea why, but he claimed that he talked to his manager and they agreed to not serve us. We had no interaction with anyone while there and had not even ordered anything, including alcohol, before he told us that. We were not asked to leave, but we left voluntarily. Was it the American flag cowboy hat I was wearing? Was i judged by my cover, by Sebastian? I think maybe!! Luckily, a better restaurant, The Yard House, was next door. We were seated there and placed our order for some dinner. While there I decided that I was going to leave this review, and I needed the name of the person who randomly refused to serve us. I went back to Bar Louie to ask him for his name and explained that I was going to leave a review, and I was going to name names. Sebastian gave me his name and I said, "Thank you! I'm going to light you up like a firecracker on Yelp!" Five minutes later, my wife and I were surrounded by five of the nicest Glendale PD officers at our table. They said that Sebastian claimed that I threatened him and they kindly asked us to leave the property, based on his unsubstantiated claim of disorderly conduct. We had to leave The Yard House without receiving our order. They acknowledged that we had done nothing wrong, but were obligated to ask us to leave the property. We complied, as we have a deep respect for all service members and police officers. I am a corporate executive, not a hoodlum. I have taken employees and partners to plenty of lunches and dinners at Bar Louie (Not the Glendale location) and have had a great experience. I will NEVER do that again. Not the ambiance to which I am willing to subject my wife, family, friends, and/or business partners. Bye bye, Bar Louie! You've lost a good customer over a crap employee who will be working for another bar next week! If you hung in there to read this, thank you! Bar Louie will judge you by your cover, discriminate, and retaliate against you if they don't like your hat! read more

Westgate Entertainment District - Great crowd - Bars Near Me - Glendale, Arizona

Hmmm, how to start?! There was no wait and we got right in, BUT there was a reason for this. First off, the beer I was served had a foul sour smell. I tried to drink a couple sips but had to ask for another beer. Our server was friendly and attentive. Then we get our appetizers the jalapeño honey wings ($18) and the cheese curds and they were mid at best. Over fried on both and the marinara sauce for the curds was mixed with cumin?! Next our meals arrive and honey hot chicken sandwich looked like it was one of the wings we ordered and thrown on his plate. Our 15 year old who is pretty much a garbage disposal didn't even finish it. There was supposed to have sauce and some other goodies, but was lacking any kind of appeal. The bbq flatbread was like they just slapped on Frank's Red Hot sauce but not really with any intention. The taste of it was subpar. I had the chicken nachos but half were not even covered with the normal fixings. Anyway, needless to say, we will not be making a trip back. Too bad too, since they used to have tasty food!! read more

Had a great evening at Bar Louie! Kara was the most amazing waitperson ever. Her service was great..there when we wanted/needed something, but not intrusive. Tuesday $5 burger night was good. Yes, burgers smaller but very well done. We'll be back, hope Kara is our server again read more

Horrible and rude customer service at this location. They treat you very disrespectful and roll their eyes at you. I WILL NEVER BE RETURNING. Teach your staff they need to treat customers better! read more

Great service & great food but the womens bathroom was absolutely disgusting. Toilet paper all over the floors, unknown stuff on the walls, one stall was completely plugged full of toilet paper, one stall was locked. Made you really loose your appetite. Such a shame. read more

I will never be back to this location after seeing 2 cockroaches crawling on the floor inside the restaurant... and overhearing one of the managers screaming at one of the waitresses right in front of me, the poor girl was in tears. Truly not a place worthy of anyone's money. read more

Horrible. I sent $42 for chicken nachos, kids cheeseburger and drunken fish. My fish was so burnt it was literally black and the only thing I get is an $8 credit on DoorDash. Asked for extra tarter sauce and they punished me with getting none and the fries wet cold and wet. So my grandson and boyfriend get to eat dinner while I watch. Will never order from them ever again. read more

Very disappointed food took 45mins waiter never came to ask if we needed anything even if our drinks were empty wings were Dry no sauce and cold... not cool read more

This place is amazing celebrated mine and my finances bday. Nick is a spectacular bartender and Ryan the manager are very welcoming. We will be back to celebrate all of our achievements read more

Bad service here I give 0 stars if i could and these are my points why it was bad there no acknowledgement of me at the bar Took awhile to get served people next to me got two order in after my order was taken. Serve me 35ml of a Shot which not the standard of a shot. Quite rude to certain kind of customers that come in by the way the spend and dress which is quite being bigot of my life style read more

Telina is fantastic! Always making every drink perfectly and recommending some awesome food too

My favorite place in Westgate!!! Marissa & Brett are the funnest bartenders! Awesome happy hour deals too. 10 stars fa sho.

My boyfriend and I came here as a late birthday dinner since my birthday was during the week and he was treating me. The service was slow. It had taken them awhile till they acknowledged us and got our drink order, then it had taken then awhile to get our drinks as well. Our food didn't take as long, but I think it could have came out faster. My boyfriend got a burger and fries and they didn't cook his burger right and his French fries were a little cold. My food was fine and the alcoholic drinks I ordered were good as well. It wasn't even that busy in there and it was a Saturday night. I don't know if they were short handed or what, but we had a pretty nice waitress though and she helped us. read more

Service was good. Waitress was nice. Food was delish. Beer was cold and taps were clean. Huge plus on the clean taps!! Will become a regular spot!!! read more

Can't tell you how the service is, nor can I tell you if the food is good. Puzzled?? So was I. I am CANADIAN. As we sat up to the bar, the place we prefer to sit, we were hoping for a great meal and happy hour drinks. IMAGINE OUR SURPRISE when we were told, not just by the bartender, but then by the manager as well; that our ALBERTA GOVERNMENT issued drivers licences WERE NOT an ACCEPTABLE form of ID to sit at the bar. We could however, move to a table and order all the drinks and food we desired. WHAT??? So we can sit THERE (10 feet away) BUT we cannot sit HERE!!!! Are you kidding me? For heavens sake - we are 63 and 68 years of age. Law abiding, tax paying citizens of CANADA. OMG --- not that foreign, unheard of country of CANADA!! Well, you know what? We happily took our money elsewhere. This bar needs to seriously re-evaluate their policies! read more

Absolutely awful. We were here on a Saturday night at 10:30. After ordering, our waitress came back to the table and said "oh, I'm supposed to hand out late menus after 10, did you want more food?" Then our beers came out in plastic glasses. Our food came out burnt and under done. Then the fire alarm went off for 7 minutes. Awful. Go to Chilis. read more

They seated us at a table that smelled like throw up and when we asked to change tables they told us they were too busy. When we looked around there was at least 6 other tables available. I'm never coming back here! read more

The only good part of our food was the appetizer of Bavarian pretzels. I ordered the hummus that came with a bunt flatbread and the cucumbers were slimy. My husband ordered the fish tacos the tortilla was cold and the fish was chopped up and there was more pico than fish. We won't be going back. If I could give it zero stars I would. read more

Bar Louie is probably in the top few selections ypu have in WestGate. Solid food and drinks, tons of seating, and an impressive happy hour ($3-5 drinks, half off apps). It's definitely a chain and the food is fairly standard pub fare, but service is usually good and prices aren't ridiculous. My only complaint is that there aren't more TVs for catching the game! read more

My friends and I went this evening. I am NOT one to complain as I have been in the bar/restaurant for many years and there are always moving parts. So I get it. Good days and bad days... Employees busy, service not the greatest, no hostess, etc. When we walked in, no employees were available, pre bussing was apparently not a priority, and the atmosphere was stale. We had to ask for a server to wipe off the table and she was not happy to do so. She did not ask if we needed anything and seemed very annoyed. We sat and sat and sat. I had to go to the bar 2 times to request service. My spouse was looking forward to the Chicken Parm Provolone. Long story short, service was horrible and the attitudes were less than lovely. I hope you take this as a learning assessment NOT as a critical attack! I am truly sending this so you all know! read more

This place is terrible! Service was horrible. The waitress was rude and never checked in after the food was served. The burger was undercooked and flavorless. The nachos were bland. What a waste of money! read more

Went here after the Cardinals football game. The place has over priced, mediocre food. The small appetizer of spinach/artichoke, came with cold tortilla chips. Toasted pita chips or baguette, would be better. My $11 dinner salad consisted of field greens and a couple tomatoes. My wife had a chicken/avocado club sandwich, that came without avocado and stale hard bread. I must say: the tortilla soup was delicious. My wife and I are both sports fans, but the TV's volume, during the Sunday Night game was so loud we could barely hear each other. The waiter was pretty good until we were done and ready to leave. We must have waited 10 - 15 minutes to finally pay the bill. I really dislike leaving a negative review, but, feel it's the only way the restaurant can improve. Good luck! read more

Great night turned to an absolute disaster. After spending about 4hrs at the bar with a couple friends our experience here went from a good time to a terrible time. Around 1:00am one of my friends attempted to use the bathroom and was told "bathroom is closed". I decide to go take a look myself as I also had to use the bathroom. By the restroom I find a bar louie employee with now another 4 paying customers trying to use the bathroom. The employee then says sorry mens bathroom is closed due to vomit and the women's is closed due to vomit and blood and the third bathroom is just closed. Go use public restrooms around the corner (I went to go check the public bathrooms and they were closed...suspicious much). After informing them that public bathrooms are closed there suggestion was "try next door". So now you want me to go pay a cover charge next door so I can go use the bathroom, RIDICULOUS. So coincidentally now all three Bar Louie bathrooms are closed due to bodily fluids??? All while another unidentified guy who seems to be employed by Westgate and had a security like ear piece kept yelling "it's Arizona state law". Sounds like a load of BS, they just didn't want a large crowd of people utilizing the bathrooms around closing time. This is completely unacceptable as you still have paying customers in your establishment. This is not justified by your establishment having issues with non-paying customers coming in to utilize the bathroom after the other establishments have closed (due to public bathrooms being closed). You need a better system, one that will not decline the facilities to your paying customers! One of the young ladies that was also trying to use the bathroom got upset and this tall male that had the security like ear piece didn't like her tone so this was his statement toward her and I quote "I don't work here so I can talk to you however the FUCK I want". This was appalling! Never returning to this establishment. read more

Was looking for a nice place to get food after the coyotes game. Arrived at 9:45 and didn't receive service until 9:55. Then was told that we needed ids to order food because it was now 10. Our server went to ask her manager after knowing the circumstance and came back to us and said, "doesn't matter. You're not being served, don't know what else to tell you". I've been a fan of bar Louie in Illinois and had the same expectation for this one and was very disappointed with the attitude of this one. read more

Horrible service and totally disorganized I was carded 3 times and had a picture taken just to get one drink! And I'm 60 years old, so it's not like I look young for my age! And after all that, we were almost thrown out because my husband ordered my drink and gave it to me read more

We went to Bar Louie on an early Saturday evening. They were fairly empty. We approached the hostess stand and indicated we would like to be seated at the bar. The hostess insisted we don face masks for the 6 foot walk to the bar from the door. If a business is unable to employ logic when meeting their customers' needs, no need to spend money there. read more

Well I sat at the bar for 20 min before someone even asked what I would like. I asked for a beer but all the taps were broken no beer. I then asked for a blood orange that was advertised on the bar and after he cleaned the entire bar and washed dishes he then made my drink which was just nasty. Finally the girl from the other side of the bar saw that I was being ignored and grabbed me Sumter else asked if she could take my food order for a good job. I moved to the other side of the bar and things were fine. Service fe needs to be addressed from this bar tender. read more

Food was good, but the service was less than acceptable. Went on a Monday night with a virtually empty floor and it took us 15 min to order drinks. We probably wouldn't have been served if the the bar manager hadn't noticed us. Bar manager was awesome, but as soon as he left the service just went back to nearly nothing. For a quick snack before a movie it took us over an hour to order, eat, and pay for sliders and a beer. read more

This bar has amazing cocktails! I love the pomegranate martini I'm so glad they are still open during these hard times!

So far it's been a terrible experience. We have been here for 40 minutes and so far only have gotten water. And they refused to serve us brunch even though it's before 3pm. Horrible experience. I've been here several times. Not sure who is responsible the waiter or if they are all just inconsiderate. read more

Everything about our dinner was amazing! Came here for a friends birthday and had an amazing waitress Alex (female) who was friendly, personable, and literally so attentive that she was right there whenever we needed her or our drinks were running low. Came in for drinks and a quick bite before the TSwift concert last night. It was super busy but we were able to find seats at the bar. The bartenders did a great job! Although there were tons of people standing around the bar, we were able to order our drinks and they came fast. The chicken nachos came out pretty quick and it was good. They were playing alot of songs by Taylor Swift and Camila so it set us in a good mood before the show. read more

Been her 4 times (not by choice) 1 of 3 times was O-K...at best! This place has horrible service! 3 of 6 people got food and we waited another 30 minutes for the others to get their food. I hope another resturant replaces this establishment...SOON. Go to Yard house its worth the wait! read more

Terrible service, took an hour to even put our order in & when the food came out it was wrong. Our party all ate at different times and one person received their food as our checks were coming out. When the bill came, they added items to our check that we didn't order and wouldn't discount our bill for the 45 min delay in food orders. Do not recommend! read more

Had Nikole and She was the best one in there!! Hands down the best experience I had all night at westgate.
