This is the biggest and best sports book in Las Vagas. This place was used in the movie "Casino". There are dozens of TV screens to watch and one enormous TV in the middle. The have rows and rows of comfy chairs to sit and watch whatever game your betting on. There is a nice bar and a great deli next to the sports book if you get hungry. This is not a Hilton property anymore. It was the LVH for about a year, then became the Westgate. Last time I was at the sportsbook, it did not appear to have changed much. read more

This place has been renovated since I was here a year ago. A great improvement for sure. Really plush seats. They have a much better bar; situated facing the screens. The screens themselves really aren't screens but black walls with projection TV's. It enables them to have a couple of gigantic screens and a number of smaller ones in an area the same size as the gigantic screens. They also have "bar" food available. You place you order at the counter and they bring it out. We had the wings and nachos. Both were very good. The wings had fries under them. They have made the sports book non-smoking. A little bit of a downer for me because I used to smoke a cigar here. But the improvements outweigh the loss of my smoking a cigar. read more

Tons of upgrades since the Westgate took over. Big screen tv's all around, for quick updates. An announcement every score or when the odds change. Full bar for you drunks and a delicious deli too. The sportsbook screen is the best part about this place. Seating is hard to get because people stay all day. The customer service by the sportsbook manager is terrible. They treat customers like they can't be bothered to answer legitimate questions. They will use any and every advantage in the rules to avoid paying out wagers that other Sportsbook's would and have paid. You have to ask for things like drink tickets instead of being offered them for being a customer. They are only concerned with appeasing the corporate overlords that have put profits over customer relationships. I'll be taking my business elsewhere. read more

Best Sportsbook ever. With the new upgrades that were completed in late 2015, the new screens are unbelievably clear and numerous!!! I actually come here to watch all the EPL games as they are open 24hrs showing all sorts of sports. In addition, the chairs are super comfortable. They only downsides are it gets packed on football Saturday and Sunday's. To get a seat, I recommend showing up pre-9am at the latest. Love love love love this place! read more

booked two nights at the westgate sept. 22-24. our uber driver from the airport said to upgrade for a bit more as some of the rooms are old. when we got there we were told all the upgrade rooms were booked. when we got to our room it was dark, smelled musty, and was all around ugly. we figured whatever, we wouldnt spend much time in the room. in the morning we woke up to find we were eaten by bugs. legs and feet, super itchy. when we complained to manager brady smith we were moved to one of the taken upgraded rooms. that's after our bites were photographed by a pest control person. embarrassing. when i asked for my first night to be comped as we didnt sleep, manager smith said the best he could do was remove the resort fee. horrible customer service. will never return. read more

The sheer number of the prop bets for the Super Bowl were astounding. Some people complained about the price of the drinks -- bettors don't pay for drinks, so don't worry about it. As sportsbooks go, this one seems really nice. It's definitely huge and has its own entrance with a parking garage just outside that entrance. This is nice so you don't have to go to general casino parking and trek all the way through the casino to get to the sportsbook (unless you want to). The area is surrounded by the buffet entrance, the edge of the casino floor with some slot machines, a grill serving pizza, tacos/nachos/quesadillas, and sandwiches, a smoking section specifically for the sportsbook since the sportsbook is generally non-smoking, and a long bar that runs the length of the read of the sportsbook. There are private booths you can rent in the sportsbook as well. And there is a mobile app, but I have never used it myself. read more

I came to have a couple drinks and gamble.. i put 20 in the machine and im playing the entire time and when i go to order my second drink the bartender tells me i need to have atleast 20 bucks in the machine to get free drinks. BUT.... they seem to be getting cheap giving out drink tickets, it seems you need to spend $50 to get a free drink ticket betting sports and $10 betting the horses, really? Why so cheap you make a ton selling beers at the bars so why not give some to bettors? Another thing is when did the casino start charging sales tax on beers? Before if a beer was 5 bucks you paid 5 bucks I order a beer at the bar and it came to $7.46 really $7.46? Charging over $8 for a Bud Light, which is essentially water, should be criminal. Came here three times while staying at the Westgate. Once to catch part of Game 7 World Series, to have a beer before the boyfriend was finishing up his last day at SEMA, and another before heading out for dinner another night. Both times, service was incredibly slow. It was really unfortunate that they were under-staffed. They had 2 bartenders working a bar equipped for 5. Even one of the waitresses for the floor had to prepare her own orders. It's great that they have so many large TVs, but paying on average $9 a beer, and not even craft beer is atrocious. It's still the world's largest sports book and they continue to deliver the most complete set of proposition bets for the Super Bowl in the city of Las Vegas. Every year, I look forward to the Super Bowl propositions coming out so that I can grab a copy and sift through the hundreds of options for betting. Despite moving out of the State, I make a pilgrimage to Vegas to bet on the Super Bowl and this is my stop. Anyways, I happen to enjoy indulging in a few sports bets along the other gambling habits like craps and poker to name a few. The Las Vegas Race and Sports SuperBook is by far the best place for sports betting. You can make bets on really any sport and they have the biggest horse racing book if thats your thing. All the locals go here because you get the best odds. Generally you are going to receive about a half a point better then your MGM's or your Palazzo. If your looking for the best odds, best layout to watch a game, and free beers this is the place. Now theres two locations to watch games. The main entrance of the book (the best) and the auditorium. In the main entrance if you get one of the comfortable leather chairs then you can expect to put down a few bets and they will come with beers. You can smoke if thats your thing. Compared to places like the MGM where you need to have at minimum a $250 bet to get a free drink voucher. It really blows the other places out of the water. If you go and sit in the auditorium, it is smoke free and you can not receive free beers. The betting odds are still the same. Now let me make something clear. The Westgate hotel itself is not great. I liked it better when it was the Hilton. Westgate is a timeshare company primarily out of Florida trying to get some excitement out in the westcoast. I will give them credit for putting some money into redesigning the sports book but overall the hotel sucks. The sportsbook is awesome. read more

The most recognized sports book in Las Vegas. Very spacious with lots of seating but it does get full pretty quick due to the popularity among bettors and sport fans alike that prefer coming here. There are many TV screens showing and covering every sport you can bet on in the main sports book section. My favorite section is the Ultimate Fan Cave, it is separated, non-smoking, has 40 comfortable seats, 3 big screens and another 4 smaller TV screens along the right sidewall. No need to leave the premises if hunger strikes, you'll find about 3 eateries in and around the vicinity. When it comes to the odds, it has the same as other books in Vegas it seems but as you know, odds and spreads can change at any minute without notice, however, it does offer more proposition bets than other sportbooks. So if you come to bet or just watch the game, this is one of the best sport books to do it and enjoy it! read more

Note: I wrote this review when it was still the Hilton. I guess they have sense changed ownership and are now a Westgate property. I assume the same amenities apply. I haven't been here since the name change. On to the original review... Sometimes I want to go to sportsbooks just to watch a game. No gambling necessary. However, there usually aren't a lot of seats available. That is NOT the case at the Hilton Sportsbook. There are plenty of seats and decent cocktail service. You can bet on anything from horse racing to rugby. I love it! However, the real gem of the Hilton sports betting world is the Hilton Theater that plays NFL games every Sunday during the football season. Inside the theater you will be surrounded by other football fans, many wearing their team jerseys (a rare thing in Vegas). The theater holds about 1500 people and you can high five people you just met over a near-miss TD reception. The atmosphere is friendly but competitive. The seats are comfortable. The food is decently priced (but they don't have any GF foods). The drinks DO cost money in here. They aren't free like in the regular sportsbook, but they always have at least one beer and one liquor special. I bought the plastic souvenir football with Sprite ($5.50) and purchased 3-$3 Jim Beam shots and I was a happy camper. That's still only $11 plus tip for 3 whiskey sodas. Paying for drinks is a fair trade-off for an entire room of football fans. The theater has its own betting counter so you don't have to trek it across the casino to place bets and since it is only football, they only have football betting. No sorting through the sheets to find your teams. The main screen is huge. I would guess 20' diagonally. It plays the main event and the other screens play "lesser" games. Since I was there during the final round of playoffs, the smaller TVs had basketball instead of football since there weren't any other football games to broadcast. Outside the Theater you can purchase official jerseys and other paraphernalia including autographed merchandise. Something else that all 3 of us loved was that when we walked down on Sunday morning ALL of the dealers (except one un-fun dealer or maybe she just forgot it was Sunday) were wearing football jerseys. It was great to see that the Hilton lets the dealers have a little fun. They can be stuffy and professional looking most days, but on Sunday their outfits just scream FOOTBALL!!! which adds nicely to the atmosphere. read more

Westgate has totally remodeled their sportsbook, not to be confused with their theater. Let's start with the new sportsbook which has nearly doubled their seating with comfortable chairs. Brand new high def TV sets, and plenty of windows for placing your bets. Only down side is that they still allow smoking on the sports book side. On Sundays during NFL season and I believe March Madness they have a theater where you can watch games smoke-free. There is a small betting area just outside the theater as well. Way better than Lagasse which is over rated and overpriced. I'm taking one star away due to lack of parking and smoking in the main sportsbook area, although they did ban cigars and pipes, but that doesn't seem to be enforced. read more

This SportsBook/Superbook, like the Westgate in general, is so neglected, both in terms of facilities and staff, that it will soon cease to exist. The cashiers at the betting windows, especially the remote ones at March Maddness, are horrible. This year, they often only had a few cashiers working DURING THE BUSIEST WEEKEND OF THE YEAR! So many cashier windows were unstaffed! Betting lines so long it boggles the mind how they could be leaving so much $ on the table! When you cash in a ticket after the sportsbook closes, you do so from the main casino cashier, and they literally take the tickets and use a manual calculator (complete with old-school dot-matrix receipt paper) to calculate winnings. This takes FOREVER. Further, the TVs in the main SuperBook are incredibly SUB PAR. The whole place needs millions in upgrades. Sound, lighting, HVAC, etc., etc. But most of all, OPEN ALL THE DAMN TICKET WINDOWS!!!!!!!!!! read more

We had someone come up to look at it and they just said it'll stop smelling in a little because they turn it off between hotel guests or something? Totally incorrect way to run things at the hotel.
