I strolled into Westime last week to get a Breitling for my father. He is always wanted one and with Father's Day around the corner I felt it was a perfect opportunity. The woman who helped me couldn't have been more patient and an understanding (I don't really know a lot about watches). I simply told her my price range, the look he goes for and his age. She immediately brought out 3 pieces and they were all great. I never really write reviews about service out side of restaurants but I feel really good about my experience as this was a quite large and sentimental purchase for me. I should mention that as I was leaving Ann gave me two of her business cards. One for me if I should ever like to return and one for my father should he ever have questions about how to care for or operate his new watch. My dad loves his Transocean. Beautiful store, great selection, and helpful staff. Gorgeous, huge store looking right out on to Wilshire Blvd. and the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. The product is top notch, you can find stuff that you won't be able to find from any other watch store. The price range is vast, there's so much selection. The staff aren't the type of sales people that pounce the second you walk in (they are working on Rodeo where the vast majority of people are just looking) but once you let them know what you are looking for they are happy and eager to help. You can certainly tell they have an appreciation for watches and jewelry. Westime is the place to go for beginning and advanced horophiles alike. I somewhat had an idea in mind of what I was going to buy, but I know he's generally picky so I wanted to find the perfect watch. I love watches more than most collectables so I had to stop in to drool over the stuff I can't afford. When I walked in, I was immediately welcomed and made to feel welcome even though I was in shorts and tennis shoes. They didn't judge. A couple of the ladies that worked there offered to show me any watch I desired and to answer any questions. Do not come here for low-end purchases, come here to compare high-end watches against other brands within your budget. That's the real beauty of Westime, they carry many different high-end brands that you can actually hold and wear on your wrist which makes shopping for a watch easy. If you're looking to score a ultra-low deal, save your time and go buy a used watch in Downtown at your own risk. They don't offer the service and professionalism as this. One important note: if you think that you can find a better deal online, you will. Here is the catch, you won't get a warranty when you buy online. They may offer you a warranty but it won't come from the manufacturer, it comes from the online dealer and whomever they've hired to repair your watch. I prefer having my work done by the manufacturer because they will stand by their work and they use genuine parts. Do your research! If you are buying a high-end watch, spend a little more for the piece of mind that you will be in good hands. read more

I walked in Westime store on Rodeo Dr and met Sue Minch at Ulysse Nardin counter. I saw there Hammerhead limited edition watch and really loved that watch to own. Sue gave me excellent overview of this watch and explained many things about ownership of Ulysse's watches. She also offered me very attractive price ... but I was not ready for purchase yet. Sue was very pleasant and extremely courteous and very knowledgable in this product. I came back a week before Christmas but that watch was sold but similar one was available. We talked about the price and all other items and promised to be back a few days. Sue was nice to call to follow up with me and set watch aside for me. I'd like to leave a Raving review for my experience visiting Westime on Rodeo Drive Beverly Hills. I dont have a lot of nice watches but I have always loved watches. I have been buying Nixon watches because I liked the style and it was in my budget. but about 6 months ago I started wanting a nice watch because my Father has a Rolex and I thought it would be cool to own one. so I started watching videos on YouTube about watch collecting and I was hooked. I learned about Rolex, Omega, and all the different watches. i started falling in love with the different movements and engineering and history of wrist watches and the companies who rivaled and fought for market share with different strategies. I had no idea how much the quartz movement shook the industry. so I learned more and fell in love with spring drive movement created by Grand Seiko and I thought how I would love to own one, one day... so yesterday my Brother and Business partner had some work in town and we strolled down Rodeo drive just to see what all the Hype was about. and I was familiar with the place because of playing Grand Theft Auto. so It was kind of surreal being here in real life. anyway we walked into Westime and was greeted by a nice security guard and Su Minch. she was so nice and we just wanted to see the place. we asked her about the crazy expensive watches just random things. and then I asked if she had any Grand Seikos. And she was happy to show me. They had a great selection and I got to see the famous "Snowflake" in person. and then I saw the watch I fell in love with. the Grand Seiko sbga229 dive watch. I am a scuba diver and it was so pretty. I had to buy it. Su Minch was so knowledgeable about the watches and was so nice. The watch isn't that expensive compared to Rolex and Hublot, but she was so professional and nice and treated the experience as a big deal because she knew it was a big deal for me. Avoid at all costs!!! TL;DR - Westime is an ugly trainwreck of a watch store. Horrible, unprofessional staff ruins a place with great potential. I left my home today with the intention of BUYING a new watch, and I had my eye on a specific Breitling. I parked on Rodeo Drive and went straight into the Westime. So I walked into the store and immediately commented on how great it looks inside. The lady kind of looks away, and her response was a contrarian "I guess, I mean it's ok?" While cringeworthy, I brushed it off and walked over to the Breitling section. Sure enough, they had the one I was interested in. So I pulled out my phone to take a picture and send to my friend. The store manager came out from her office and started yelling at me in the middle of the store. Her: "Sir. Sir! SIR!!" Me (turns to her): "Yes?" Her: "You aren't allowed to take pictures of the watches!" Me: "...Why?" Her: "It's just the rules. They are all private property, we just have them on display here." (Those were her actual words) Me: ....... Her: "If you want, I can take it out from behind the glass and then you can take a picture of it." Me: "You know what, I walked in here to buy this watch, but forget it." What did she do? Did she apologize and offer to make amends? Nope..she turned around and WALKED AWAY! What a complete garbage company run by stupid, incompetent salespeople. Don't waste your time here. I have never been to a company that sells such high-end watches but couldn't give less of a f*** about the customer or the experience. Maybe it's one huge money laundering front for an illegitimate business empire. Then it all might make more sense. Who the hell knows. Just go somewhere else. read more

Douchery at its finest folks! Talk about an old world Beverly Hills cliche'. This place reeks of wanna be high-end retail. The store is off Rodeo, but that's where the class ends. I walked in last Friday just to check it out. Keep this in mind, a place that wraps its watches in plastic immediately loses cool points just because of how tacky and classless it looks. Add to this that they carry both Urwerk and Nixon in the same store, ANY reasonable watch owner and fan can see the contradiction here and would be crazy not to question the knowledge of the staff with these brands being presented in the same space. So I'm eyeing some brand from England called Graham, never heard of it. It's a tad on the cartoony side with bright colors, large diameter and the like. This particular product isn't finished incredibly well, at least based on the pieces i saw, but they are eye catching, so i ask about the movement used for the brand. Up to this point i'd been dealing with Ann who seems pretty cool. But once I asked about the insides of the watch, some little troll of a woman with a nasty attitude, as if she'd personally designed the piece starts asking me what kind of watch I had on. When I told her the brand, she says, "all right then!" This was clearly to imply that I had no right to question the brand since my watch wasn't expensive to her. She starts trying to belittle and loud talk me. Fortunately, I have the smarts and experience to recognize her attitude as compensating for an inadequacy in the knowledge department. If she knew her product well enough, answering the question would have come with ease. Save your TIME. If you want to want to take a walk through some of the big kid gear without the attitude, take a weekend to kick it in Vegas. All the same stuff in a city built around the entire service experience. read more

I'm visiting from out of town (DC) and stopped in because I've been in the market for a quality timepiece for some time. IWC in particular has some timepieces I like (in their Portuguese Collection), but it's so hard getting a sense online of exactly what the watches are like - case thickness, face diameter, true color of the case metal and strap - and there aren't a large number of stores where I'm from that carry a big selection of luxury men's watches. As such, I was excited to see Westime as I strolled through Beverly Hills. Even more importantly, the service was superb. My sales person, Angelita, was wonderful. She is very knowledgable, helpful, and spent nearly an hour with me talking about the pros and cons of each watch I tried on, without any pressure at all to purchase on the spot. She also passed on some suggestions about how I could save some money when I finally do purchase, which was just a bonus on already competitive prices, considering it's a brick and mortar store in the heart of Beverly Hills. In short, my experience as Westime was superb all around and I will be purchasing from there once I finally decide on exactly which model I want. I encourage you to give them a look as well if you're in the market for a high-end timepiece. P.S. As a watch collector. I love stopping by watch stores to see new pieces in person rather than in magazines or online. I've been to Tourneau (LV, Oahu, Century City, Houston..), Rolex, Tourbillon OC, and several small shops. None have been less helpful than the crew at Westime. The staff is dull and incompetent and needs to be educated on what they are selling. I was looking around for a 42mm-44mm everyday watch. So I was looking at a few Zenith's particularly with an el Primero movement and a few AP ROOS (non fancy versions). Simple questions about the valjoux 7750 hybrid movements could not be answered. Like do you have to set day/date while the hands are below 9&3 or is it immune to the gearing. The staff looks like they dont wanna sell anything. After the poor service I never came back. I have a coworker that bought a Hublot Black Magic there and he has the same complaints. He is just lucky that the watch is not having problems because attempts for service is non existent. If you want a good deal, try Capetown Jewelers via web. They have in house lifetime warrantys and great service. I picked up a Panerai 288 and a 112 from them and they have always been helpful. read more

My experience with Westime Beverly Hills was dreadful for the reasons listed below. I consider Westime to be among the most unprofessional organizations that I have ever encountered. (1) On Monday, March 21, 2011 around 5:45 pm, I visited Westime Beverly Hills and spoke with no one else but David Schajer and showed him the Breitling Bentley 6.75 that I a purchased a Westime with the winged Breitling emblem inside the watch dial having fallen off. David was sullen and responded with distant aloofness, even antagonism; nothing about his representation of Westime could be considered hospitable. I stated that I receive better treatment from Best Buy employees. I mentioned that "red carpet" treatment was reasonable because $8,000 was spent in his store. He replied with short-tempered comments about how Westime's intermediary repair process is typical for the industry. I asked that he look up the purchase date. He declined to do so with a vague bureaucratic style response. I responded that since Westime is only an intermediary, then it seems to make no difference where I get the repair completed and would take the watch elsewhere. (2) Soon after, around 6:05pm on 03-21-11, I called to request the name of the person that I spoke with concerning my experience above and received David Schajer's name. The person (female) who answered the phone requested the reason for my request. I responded that his attention to this matter was so abysmal that it "utterly sucked". She asked "Do you feel better now?" I responded "No, I am disappointed in Westime's performance, which was dreadful!" She angrily replied "That's just your opinion; everyone is entitled to one and you're just wrong!" I responded "Now, do you feel better?" She hung up the phone. (3) On Tuesday, March 22, 2011 around 11:15 am, I called to request the name and address of Westime's owner in order that I write them a letter. The person (female) who answered the phone responded "greg@westime.com". I politely requested the owner's last name and she responded "I reviewed this with him and he did not want to give you his last name". I then asked for her name and she responded "Never mind" and abruptly hung up the phone. (4) I raised the above incidents with the owner and on Saturday, April 16, 2011 the watch was finally repaired at no additional cost. However, the repair was flawed because the casing screw on one side of my watch was damaged. This is evident because metal burrs (still) exist from the excess metal located at the screw slot that is no longer straight; this screw slot was stripped during the repair. In fact, the metal burrs are so large that they will cut into your finger tips when the edge of my watch is rubbed. On Sunday, April 24, 2011 I discovered the flawed repair because my watch had scratched the wood panel on my wife's car door (a Range Rover Land Rover). I emailed photos to Greg Simonian on 04-24-11 and asked the following: Who completed the repair of my watch? Was the watch shipped to Breitling Switzerland as I was told? These questions (still) remain unanswered. I'm thinking that an authorized Brieting repair shop would replace any screw that was stripped during a repair and would not release a watch with a stripped screw and metal burrs. I still don't know who completed the repair of my watch. (5) In keeping with this, I left about a dozen voicemail and email messages with Greg Simonian regarding this matter and as of today (Saturday, December 24, 2011) Westime has failed to return these email and voicemail messages. This kind of treatment is unacceptable for those who consider themselves professionals. read more

DON'T SHOP AT THIS STORE! IT'S THE WORSE! I regret ever buying anything at this place! It's a shame that I have given them any business at all. I had bought two high end Franck Muller watches from this store a while back ago. Also, I had another Franck Muller watch that I had serviced through them as well. On my recent visit, I saw a great showroom clock that they had on display. I had asked the salesperson if the clock was for sale, and they said that everything in the store was for sale. When I had asked the price, they said that they would get back to me. Long story short, they jerked me around for a while, and backed out of their word. I was very disappointed. Basically, they don't have any honor, integrity, or appreciation for their repeat clients. It's all about the money. Therefore, I will never shop at this store again! They should change the name of the store to waste of time, instead of having it at Westime. read more
