10/1/2025- Updated review: stayed one night although I booked for two nights. First impressions- very impressive- Arrived early but had to come back at 11 am to check in- Wanted to check are bags in but because it's their slow time and they were doing extra cleaning bell person suggested we keep our luggage- Room was on the 7th floor and a bigger sized studio.. nice clear view from window.. Loved the room itself- nice kitchen- included pots and pans and utensils- I brought my own coffee grinds and filters.. as I was told there was a coffee maker in the room- It was not a coffee maker- the hotel one that already had packets of coffee and filter - The bathroom was decent but maintenance needs to pay attention and caulk the bathtub-- Small fitness room with basic equipment-.. glad they have one Two pools and one hot soaking pool (closed for winter). Hotel restaurant- was nice-I loved the Eating well menu.. Parking indoor-tight squeeze but nice and stalls had charging stations- Glad I picked a good hotel.. Staff was very helpful-

We had an amazing time in this hotel. It has a nice and convenient location walking distance from The Village Mammoth and near the trolley and bus stops. They have a secured parking garage... feels safe in the area. As we check in, we were greeted with warmth and sweet smile by the front desk, Bea and company were so informative and very accommodating with all my queries. Inside was a cozy restaurant with good comfy food in the menu. The room was so cozy and homey, with the kitchenette and has all the basic needs we have for the stay. Because of our good experience and amazing staff who were courteous and efficient, recommended it to my family and friends as well. We made wonderfuL good memories during our visit. Also a pet frienDLy resort hoteL... now thinking & planning of coming back with our fur baby soon.

Really like it here. Parking is convenient and safe and the studio room is awesome. Although the decor is modern, some of the details like caulking around the tub needs touching up. All in all, I like it here and will come again in the future. Oh and uh, bring your own TP the stuff here is pretty thin

Excellent place to stay in Mammoth Lakes. Enjoyed my 1 night stay here. Service from front desk was great. Room was clean and spacious. Complimentary breakfast was delicious. The pool was heated and the jacuzzi was relaxing. Will definitely stay here again the next time I come back to Mammoth Lakes. Highly recommend!

My first trip to Mammoth couldn't have been better, and I chose the perfect hotel! Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed by the manager, Tim, who was not only professional but also incredibly helpful. He went above and beyond by upgrading us to a room with breathtaking views and sharing his top recommendations for dining and nightlife in the village. He even made restaurant reservations for us--like at Lakefront-and arranged for the hotel's shuttle service! On our first night, we had dinner at the hotel's restaurant, Whitebark, and it was absolutely delicious. At the bar, we were greeted by Paula, who made the experience even more special. She crafted an incredible cocktail for me-like an espresso martini, but decaf and made with tequila-complete with a sweet and salty rim that was a delightful surprise! Her warmth and hospitality made the evening feel so cozy and welcoming. I can't wait to return! Run don't walk to this amazing hotel!! PS Did I mention it's also dog friendly?

I recently stayed here for 3 nights with my son and really enjoyed our time. The service from the front desk was wonderful. We ran into a road closure on the way, so I called the hotel to see if they had any updates. Bri was incredibly helpful, she actually called me back with updated info, which made a stressful drive a little easier. When we arrived, it was also Bri who checked us in. She greeted me with a glass of wine (much needed after that long, nerve-wracking drive!) and even surprised my son by sending a birthday cake to our room. Such a thoughtful touch. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed, which was great since we cooked a couple of meals. The room itself was nicely furnished, though the bathroom could use a bit of maintenance, some fresh caulking around the tub and attention to the peeling surface would make a big difference. Parking was convenient with a structured garage and EV chargers. The charging fee is definitely higher than Supercharging, but the convenience was worth it. Overall, I was very pleased with our stay and would definitely come back!

Clean rooms and very spacious. We had a fireplace, and it's super convenient location close to many stores and food places. You can tell whoever the bathroom can use an upgrade and they forgot our comforter. Overall good stay.

Third floor view from the one bedroom overlooking the village. Very convenient to walk to restaurants and shops and never get in your car.

We had a delightful experience, staying for four nights at the Westin in the days leading up to Christmas. William, the front desk manager and Willow, the guest services manager, was extremely accommodating to us! We had accidentally booked our room for four of us in a studio instead of a one bedroom and William and Willow were very quick to accommodate us and get us into a one bedroom, which was modern, clean, spacious, with many luxurious amenities! The hotel, even though very busy for the holiday, never felt crowded, the guest clientele were respectful, and overall a fairly quiet hotel. We were really impressed with the rooms, the food and the restaurant, and how convenient the hotel is to the Canyon Lodge via gondola. We have stayed in Mammoth many times at different Airbnb's and townhomes, but this experience at the Westin has changed my mind and I now prefer the hotel experience because of the proximity and ease of the whole experience. Thank you again William and Willow. You really went above and beyond to make us feel special for our stay.

    Otis, relaxing on his vacation.

We hit the jackpot on this trip, both in timing and accommodations. The town was so quiet you could hear a pin drop. Literally only a few people walking around the village. Not good for business, but nice if you like a peaceful vibe. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Monache Westin. We had our pug pup with us and he thought he was the king of the mountain, so popular with the staff. Tim, one of the Shift Managers assisted in making our stay so enjoyable. He was extremely nice, accommodating and professional. Thank you very much!

    I love this fireplace!

4.5 stars rounded up (do I sound like a snob!? Lol but I really do wish Yelp lets us do half stars). We used a Marriott FNC here, and it exceeded our expectations. I'm not sure if their website photos were just unflattering or what, but the room looked much better than I anticipated during booking! PROS: -fireplace in the room!!! This place would be so cozy in the winter. The small living area of the room was well set up, with a comfortable couch. -we were lucky to get a high floor room, so the view overlooking The Village and the mountains were beautiful! -there was a kitchenette in the room (2 stove burners), with some pots and utensils provided! Plus a mini fridge. -TV has Netflix that lets you log in -parking garage is connected to the hotel so you don't have to go outside to get to your car. Useful in the winter -staff was friendly, and the glasses of welcome wine upon check in was a lovely touch -lots of lucky doggos come through this hotel, very fun to check them out :) you can people watch AND dog watch! -it's right next to The Village, which is super convenient CONS: -while there was a small, basic seating area near the check in counter, I don't think there was an actual lobby where guests could comfortably hang out for hours. It seems like a real missed opportunity for some "impressive upscale rustic winter log cabin living room" aesthetic, and I'm a bit surprised and disappointed that a Westin brand hotel didn't have a true lobby. If anyone cares... I think the check in desks can be moved next to the main doors, then the area where it is now can be turned into a lobby that stretches into the hotel towards the restaurants. That'd be awesome! -things are a bit run down all around. Small examples: -the stove burner dials don't work super well, and the writing is faded, so it took some trial and error just to figure out which way to turn up the heat -similarly, the shower knobs don't work perfectly and it takes a while to figure things out. Speaking of which, it seems like the hot water gets used up at night? I showered during the night, then again the next morning when I checked out, and the water was a lot hotter during the day -parking was not free. I shouldn't expect it to be, but it should've been nice. -the gym was a bit dingy, but you're at a place where you should get your physical activity in at the beautiful outdoors In the end, we really enjoyed our stay. The cons are just things to nitpick at, and to be honest, for how much traffic they get (people AND dogs), and the fact that a lot of people visit to ski and do outdoors stuff (meaning they probably come back really dirty and with lots of equipments and luggage dragged around)... I think the hotel does a darn good job with the upkeep. The rooms are definitely a bit worn, but I'm kind of impressed that it's not even more so. I think this place is great for the location and beautiful surroundings, and for the rooms that may not be great, but imo very solid. I would love to return around Christmas some day!

This hotel is a very good place to stay at if you are skiing in Mammoth. First of all, the ski valet is amazing and if you didn't have their valet, you would have to carry your skis SO far. The staff are nice and helpful. The hotel is right next to the gondola. The pool is good and you can easily still swim during winter since it is warm. They also have a gym with good and entertaining treadmills.

We absolutely loved this hotel. So much that I doubt I'd stay anywhere else in upcoming trips to Mammoth. It's beautiful, clean, comfortable and has all the amenities you'll need to enjoy a nice vacation. We had requested an early check in and the front desk graciously checked us in hours early. However the first room was occupied, luckily the guests were not in the room when we walked in. That could have been super embarrassing. The second room, had a do not disturb sign outside the door and had the safety lock in place. I kept a good sense of humor, but my husband was a bit annoyed. That quickly changed when we were given a complimentary upgrade. The room was BEAUTIFUL!!! We loved our stay and the village was just a few steps away where we enjoyed some nice meals, ice cream and lovely walks. If you enjoy running or cycling, there's plenty of safe roads sidewalks outside the hotel too. I noticed a local shuttle that drops off at the hotel as well. The hotel offers free parking and they're pet friendly too!!

Had a great experience here. Room was updated and clean, with a nice view. Parking was easy and charging was free and fast (they have Clipper Creek J1772 L2 plugs and a pair of Tesla chargers with the magic dock adapter). Staff was friendly. Restaurant was also great for breakfast with good food and nice wait staff.

I knew going into this venue we would have to go with the flow due to unpredictable weather. Natalie Saini eased my mind from the first time I emailed with her and spoke on the phone with her. She was here for me as a coordinator every step of the way! She would email me back quickly and even coordinated a private tasting for us since we were unable to make the group tasting they have twice a year. Her organization and experience made me so confident that our hard work planning would all come together! We had rehearsal on the rooftop and had to switch locations to inside Parallax less than an hour before ceremony time. I'm sure that was stressful for her, but she made me and my husband not have a worry or care in the world. Our day was absolutely perfect for us! She accommodated our wishes of having 10-15 minutes alone after our ceremony. Natalie went above and beyond. She let us have our moment together in our reception area where she had waiting for us drinks and lots of appetizers! We walked around our reception area and got to see it all before our grand entrance to our guests. The gondola staff, the servers, bartenders (Connor especially!), chef, coordinators, and all the Mammoth Mountain staff were so good to us! Our guests raved about the food! We did the family style and it was almost like plated! Lastly, right when we got into town, Natalie came to our cabin and picked up all of our wedding decor and details so we did not have to worry about it! The Sunday after the wedding, she dropped it all back off to us in perfect condition and boxed so nicely. We cannot thank them all enough for putting on this epic wedding and best day of our lives thus far! Mitchell & Marissa Martens

Who knew there was a little town inside Yosemite National Park where you can find cabins to rent?…read more Turns out, The Redwoods in Yosemite is a property management company that handles rentals of approximately 120 different cabins throughout the small town of Wawona in southern Yosemite. Over the Labor Day holiday we had a neat experience with Cabin 53. It had all of the basics that you could need and was cute and clean, and had decking all around. It was surrounded by a few other cabins and some nice pine trees. Staff from the Redwoods were friendly, accommodating, and responsive. There were many different sizes and types of cabins available, so both small and large groups can be accommodated. Unfortunately our cabin had a couple minor issues which couldn't be resolved, though they did try. The Redwoods community is located a short distance off the 41 in South Yosemite. It was still about 45 minutes to the main valley area, but it also had lots of neat things nearby as well. Still better than many options outside the park. Value was decent and we didn't feel like we were overcharged. This is a great option if you are looking for something a bit different to add that rustic cabin stay to your Yosemite trip.

I have so much to talk about but I'll stick to what's important. First off, The Redwoods In Yosemite is an hour out from Yosemite Valley still. This can be a deal breaker for some especially if you're seeking for convenience and accessibility to the park. For me however the space and comfort meant more so thats why I chose these cabins. (Three bathrooms definitely come in handy) The plus side is you can do Yosemite Valley all in one day and split your trip the other day to see The Grizzly Giant and Mariposa grove. (Which is literally down the road from these cabins) Also I would like to thank the Redwoods staff for being very accommodating of our situation. Our original plans in September fell through during the Gifford fires and AQI was around 400-800 in Yosemite and Mariposa. They helped us reschedule to October with no additional cost. We are very thankful for this because we deal with an autoimmune disease that would make this trip dangerous. Our weekend was magical because of this reschedule. But let's talk about the cabin itself. Here at We-Dunn-It, it fits a party of 6 and is considered one of the older cabins here at the Redwoods. But just because it's old it doesn't mean it's not comfortable. They have a room for kids with a bunk bed, the master bed room and a third room downstairs that is nice and private. Each room is retrofitted with a heater/ac system so you are comfortable in Yosemite's hottest days and coldest nights. Even with this past weekend dipping into the 40's, we were very comfortable during our stay. As for amenities this cabin is well stocked with all the necessities you need. From dinnerware, kitchenware and cutlery, you can almost find everything you need here for your stay besides personal toiletries. The fridge, oven and microwave have been updated since my stay in 2021 which means the cabin owner takes really good care of their property. Last but not least let's talk about cleanliness. I never had a pest problem like the other reviews with other cabins on here, but you do get the occasional gnats that fly in. (Understandable because you are located in the middle of the woods still) The big thing I want to emphasize is because you are still in the middle of the woods whether you feel like it or not you should respect the grounds/house rules. This includes taking out your own trash and leaving no trace behind. It was magical to walk out of my cabin and be greeted with a sitting brown black bear. It was also a reminder that you need to do your part in order to keep these bears safe and wild. Please take out your trash immediately after you leave and dump them at the appropriate trash cans around the town. Now with all the great things this cabin provided I do have a bit of feedback for it. The first was we found some chip crumbs by the trashcan upon our arrival. Which meant it wasn't swept properly before us coming in. It was no big deal but the minor missed attention to detail caused me to reconsider if the rest of the cabin was properly cleaned. Last was the amount of dust in the cabin. After my stay in 2021 I learned from my lesson to bring an air purifier for my allergies. Thankfully this came in handy and made my latest stay more comfortable. I will say although there was less dust floating around, the bed frames still had a lot of dust and crumbs in its edges. This was a bit off putting especially when Im inspecting for bed bugs. Plus the throw pillows on the bed poofed tons of dust as we were moving them off the bed. We highly recommend just getting rid of these entirely because they seem uncleaned and unsanitary. Overall I would still highly recommend The Redwoods for your stay, and looking forward to potentially staying at the other cabins. Its proximity and space from Yosemite makes it the perfect spot for your family vacation.
