There is a complimentary storage right at the gondola for Westin guests that will store gear so you don't have to lug it back and forth during your stay. Westin is owned by Marriott so you get all the Bonvoy rewards benefits. Best perk is they're dog-friendly. Dog fee is $50 x night per dog. Parking: Underground parking for guests. There are a few EV charging stations available. Download the ChargePoint app (but it's a pretty pricey, 0.91 per kWh). Highly recommend! Fit and finish was of superior quality compared to many other Marriottt properties that I have slept in. The negatives- bad hvac unit. Dried out any moisture in the room. Couldn't breathe with a dried sinus. Need some tender loving care. Overally complicated fancy shower head that is unnecessary in my opinion.. Money would have been better spent on a glass door instead of the bath tub curtains that kept me in the dark(my personal opinion of course). Serive- attentive and kind. 5/2026 -- No heavenly bed comforters. They went to Mammoth Mountain Inn thin comforters. Not sure if this is seasonal or not. If we were in the winter, I would be upset. The closest Westin @LAX has the fat comforters right now. The heavenly comforters should be year round. Not some half drawn out thing. Missing the lavender sleep rollers they used to put by the beds. Probably the most mediocre welcome drink pour I have ever had. Elevators scratched and hallways would benefit from touch up paint. Special applause for house keeping, they made our stay better. 3/2025 -- The best stay we have had. Thanks for the mid week room upgrade to a one bedroom. 1/2025 -- It's a solid option. I actually prefer the studio or 1 bedroom units over the 2 bedroom suites. The 2 bedroom penthouse is nice with the big windows. Across all the rooms, the couches are not very comfortable and the in room kitchen feels a little lackluster in appliance quality. Beds are comfortable. I would have designed the bedrooms with a chair or spot to sit. Housekeeping and front desk were warm and accommodating -- they delivered robes, towels, a dog bed, blankets, cutlery, extra pans, etc on a daily basis. Organized and prompt service. Issue with bill and wrong CC on file (which was my fault) resolved - no issue at all. Never rude or inconsiderate. Hallways could benefit from touch up paint. Elevator scratches would benefit from a polish. Active construction -- kind of a bummer if you own one of these units or you are facing the new project. Watch those bonvoy redemptions and rates (which were half what they are now prior to the property remodel in 2022). First impressions- very impressive- Arrived early but had to come back at 11 am to check in- Wanted to check are bags in but because it's their slow time and they were doing extra cleaning bell person suggested we keep our luggage- Room was on the 7th floor and a bigger sized studio.. nice clear view from window.. We had an amazing time in this hotel. It has a nice and convenient location walking distance from The Village Mammoth and near the trolley and bus stops. They have a secured parking garage... feels safe in the area. As we check in, we were greeted with warmth and sweet smile by the front desk, Bea and company were so informative and very accommodating with all my queries. Inside was a cozy restaurant with good comfy food in the menu. The room was so cozy and homey, with the kitchenette and has all the basic needs we have for the stay. My first trip to Mammoth couldn't have been better, and I chose the perfect hotel! Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed by the manager, Tim, who was not only professional but also incredibly helpful. He went above and beyond by upgrading us to a room with breathtaking views and sharing his top recommendations for dining and nightlife in the village. He even made restaurant reservations for us--like at Lakefront-and arranged for the hotel's shuttle service! On our first night, we had dinner at the hotel's restaurant, Whitebark, and it was absolutely delicious. At the bar, we were greeted by Paula, who made the experience even more special. She crafted an incredible cocktail for me-like an espresso martini, but decaf and made with tequila-complete with a sweet and salty rim that was a delightful surprise! I recently stayed here for 3 nights with my son and really enjoyed our time. The service from the front desk was wonderful. We ran into a road closure on the way, so I called the hotel to see if they had any updates. Bri was incredibly helpful, she actually called me back with updated info, which made a stressful drive a little easier. When we arrived, it was also Bri who checked us in. She greeted me with a glass of wine (much needed after that long, nerve-wracking drive!) and even surprised my son by sending a birthday cake to our room. Such a thoughtful touch. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed, which was great since we cooked a couple of meals. The room itself was nicely furnished, though the bathroom could use a bit of maintenance, some fresh caulking around the tub and attention to the peeling surface would make a big difference. Parking was convenient with a structured garage and EV chargers. The charging fee is definitely higher than Supercharging, but the convenience was worth it. Unfortunately, our stay was not what I had expected. Upon arrival, I went to use the shower and the handle immediately came loose and fell off. An engineer was sent and fixed it, but the issues didn't end there. The following morning,, the bathroom sink began draining very slowly and appeared to be clogged, which required another visit from maintenance. Additionally, it seemed as though we were placed in a room that had previously accommodated multiple dogs. The carpet did not look like it had been properly vacuumed, and shortly after, my allergies began acting up. I experienced significant congestion and irritation in my nose and throat, which made it difficult to get a good night's rest. Notably, as soon as we left the hotel, my symptoms improved. I really wish the hotel would do a better job thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing rooms that have housed pets, especially for guests who have allergies. read more

We had a delightful experience, staying for four nights at the Westin in the days leading up to Christmas. William, the front desk manager and Willow, the guest services manager, was extremely accommodating to us! We had accidentally booked our room for four of us in a studio instead of a one bedroom and William and Willow were very quick to accommodate us and get us into a one bedroom, which was modern, clean, spacious, with many luxurious amenities! The hotel, even though very busy for the holiday, never felt crowded, the guest clientele were respectful, and overall a fairly quiet hotel. We were really impressed with the rooms, the food and the restaurant, and how convenient the hotel is to the Canyon Lodge via gondola. We have stayed in Mammoth many times at different Airbnb's and townhomes, but this experience at the Westin has changed my mind and I now prefer the hotel experience because of the proximity and ease of the whole experience. We hit the jackpot on this trip, both in timing and accommodations. The town was so quiet you could hear a pin drop. Literally only a few people walking around the village. We had our pug pup with us and he thought he was the king of the mountain, so popular with the staff. Tim, one of the Shift Managers assisted in making our stay so enjoyable. No consideration or understanding for the simplest of requests, and a complete lack of compassion by the front-desk staff and management. 4.5 stars rounded up (do I sound like a snob!? Lol but I really do wish Yelp lets us do half stars). We used a Marriott FNC here, and it exceeded our expectations. I'm not sure if their website photos were just unflattering or what, but the room looked much better than I anticipated during booking! PROS: -fireplace in the room!!! This place would be so cozy in the winter. The small living area of the room was well set up, with a comfortable couch. -we were lucky to get a high floor room, so the view overlooking The Village and the mountains were beautiful! -there was a kitchenette in the room (2 stove burners), with some pots and utensils provided! Plus a mini fridge. -TV has Netflix that lets you log in -parking garage is connected to the hotel so you don't have to go outside to get to your car. Useful in the winter -staff was friendly, and the glasses of welcome wine upon check in was a lovely touch -lots of lucky doggos come through this hotel, very fun to check them out :) you can people watch AND dog watch! -it's right next to The Village, which is super convenient CONS: -while there was a small, basic seating area near the check in counter, I don't think there was an actual lobby where guests could comfortably hang out for hours. It seems like a real missed opportunity for some "impressive upscale rustic winter log cabin living room" aesthetic, and I'm a bit surprised and disappointed that a Westin brand hotel didn't have a true lobby. If anyone cares... I think the check in desks can be moved next to the main doors, then the area where it is now can be turned into a lobby that stretches into the hotel towards the restaurants. That'd be awesome! -things are a bit run down all around. Small examples: -the stove burner dials don't work super well, and the writing is faded, so it took some trial and error just to figure out which way to turn up the heat -similarly, the shower knobs don't work perfectly and it takes a while to figure things out. Speaking of which, it seems like the hot water gets used up at night? I showered during the night, then again the next morning when I checked out, and the water was a lot hotter during the day -parking was not free. I shouldn't expect it to be, but it should've been nice. -the gym was a bit dingy, but you're at a place where you should get your physical activity in at the beautiful outdoors In the end, we really enjoyed our stay. The cons are just things to nitpick at, and to be honest, for how much traffic they get (people AND dogs), and the fact that a lot of people visit to ski and do outdoors stuff (meaning they probably come back really dirty and with lots of equipments and luggage dragged around)... I think the hotel does a darn good job with the upkeep. The rooms are definitely a bit worn, but I'm kind of impressed that it's not even more so. This is the 2nd year that we stayed at the Westin. I was debating to try the rooms in the Village (mostly cuz I hate the ~5 flights of stairs up to the hotel from the Village), but after reading reviews of what was available, I decided to go with the Westin. I knew it wouldn't be run down, showers would be hot, there would be internet, and the beds would be comfortable. This time, we got the 2 bedroom suite with 2 bathrooms (one bathroom in one bedroom and one bathroom near the entrance), a living room with a pullout sofa full bed and a kitchenette/dining table. We were very happy with the accommodation except that we arrived late driving 7 hrs after hosting Thanksgiving lunch and got the last room on the 1st floor (145) which meant the outside ground could look down into tall (near to ceiling) windows of the living room and one of the bedrooms (kept curtains closed in those areas) but the balcony and master bedroom were raised above the street level entrance drive through of the hotel. The beds were comfortable though more blankets are needed especially for the premade (thin blanket/sheet) pullout sofa bed than the thin blanket provided in the closet. Pillows for the sofa bed were grabbed from other beds. Why I'm reviewing is my daughter left her retainers there. I called a couple of times and a make front desk employee, can't remember his name now, made sure to help me resolve the problem, calling back multiple times. I was so impressed with his diligence and wish I had written his name down. His email to the managers eventually got Alejandro T. to contact me. He and his assistant Jennifer G were very hands on in making sure I got the retainers back quickly for an appointment. I am so grateful to the 3 of them for the customer service they provided!!! read more

This hotel is a very good place to stay at if you are skiing in Mammoth. First of all, the ski valet is amazing and if you didn't have their valet, you would have to carry your skis SO far. We absolutely loved this hotel. So much that I doubt I'd stay anywhere else in upcoming trips to Mammoth. It's beautiful, clean, comfortable and has all the amenities you'll need to enjoy a nice vacation. We had requested an early check in and the front desk graciously checked us in hours early. However the first room was occupied, luckily the guests were not in the room when we walked in. That could have been super embarrassing. The second room, had a do not disturb sign outside the door and had the safety lock in place. I kept a good sense of humor, but my husband was a bit annoyed. That quickly changed when we were given a complimentary upgrade. The room was BEAUTIFUL!!! We loved our stay and the village was just a few steps away where we enjoyed some nice meals, ice cream and lovely walks. If you enjoy running or cycling, there's plenty of safe roads sidewalks outside the hotel too. I noticed a local shuttle that drops off at the hotel as well. For platinum members and above, you will receive breakfast voucher for two adults in the restaurant, or two hot items, two cold items and two juice to go. Note that kids are not included with free breakfast if you are dining in the restaurant. Big disappointment while making reservations as the support was very limited. We had two groups, and we called hotel at the time of booking to find connecting rooms, or close each other at least, but they don't have that support. Connecting rooms can only be assigned at the time of check-in if there is availability. They even denied to let us know which room types we should reserve for possibility of connecting rooms. We reserved two bedroom suite, and mammoth suite. At the time of check-in at 5pm, we asked for the same floor, but they assigned us 4th floor, and 6th floor, saying it is fully booked. Official mammoth mountain website states to use promo code at checkout, but this was not recognized by the hotel, and insisted that the promo code should be used at the time of booking. It is unfortunate that Hyatt is not in Mammoth Mountain. We will use airbnb next time. read more

Beautiful resort situated in the heart of Mammoth. We had a one night stay here at the end of last summer and loved it. Check in was quick and easy. Our room was located beside the pool. We love how functional and modern our room was. The living area, little window nook to the coffee table and little stools were all little comforts that made our stay amazing. We love that we even had a little kitchenette that came with the room. Don't even get us started on the bed! It's so soft and comfortable. We had the best sleep. Overall loved our stay at the Westin. We appreciate that its pet friendly too! They do charge a pet fee and parking isn't free so expect to pay for overnight parking. They do have a parking garage under the hotel! read more

We recently visited for our 10 year anniversary. When we made this known to the front desk, wow the service was so nice and personal. They sent up rosé and a delicious brownie sundae as well as a personalized card. It was so sweet and set the tone for our getaway. They even upgraded us to a one bedroom suite with an awesome view. They pretend to be high-end but have Ikea furniture (most uncomfortable couch ever created), wonky dishwasher, no measuring cups or measuring spoons, parking fee is egregious. We visited Mammoth for the first time during 4th of July weekend & stayed at The Westin since it was pet friendly & had the best pricing considering the holiday. Overall, we had a good experience & no issues. The staff were friendly & welcomed our large breed dog. The only issue we faced was the restaurant inside the hotel, Whitebark is not pet friendly, so we ended up having to cancel our 6pm reservation on our last night, which became a huge inconvenience because we couldn't find anywhere to eat that wasn't extremely busy. Our biggest frustration was that the hotel was pet friendly, yet the restaurant inside the hotel isn't, which made no sense to us. Also, the restaurant stated they were pet friendly online, which further aided in our frustration. There is no clear sign that tells guests the restaurant on the property is not pet friendly. While we had a good experience at The Westin, our experience with the restaurant was enough for us never to stay here again in the future. read more

A lot of misses, but also a lot of good stuff, would rate 3.5 if I could, but given Yelp doesn't allow it, I'm going with 3. Would probably try another place next time simply to have something else to compare this one against. Good location, 3-4 minutes walk to multiple restaurants, brewery and bakery. Rooms are decent, although the auxiliary bed/sofa is not the comfiest one, something to keep in mind if you have a party of three. There was a construction going on next door, but we barely noticed it as rooms are decently sound proofed. I'd expect a bit more amenities in the room for $350/night, but semi equipped kitchen was nice. Spare duvets and sheets we had to use for the auxiliary bed were dusty. Service was good, especially in the restaurant that was within the hotel. Speaking of restaurant, the menu could be a bit more comprehensive, but whatever they did have was good quality and the portions were pretty big. Why not 3 and not 4 stars given my initial "3.5"? One word - parking. Pretty much everyone comes here in bigger cars, minivans, SUVs etc. Underground parking spots are barely big enough for compact size cars, so every day of our stay I got "free" workout trying to squeeze into my car and taking the stuff in/out of the trunk. We couldn't even put the kid into car / child seat and I first had to exit the parking spot in order to fully open the door and put the kid in. I wouldn't be surprised a lot of cars come out of that garage with dents or scratches. read more

Do not, under any circumstance, think this is a place that's any good. My wife and I stayed here at the tail end of March thinking it's one of the better resorts. Oh how wrong we were. We checked in and were initially given a room that smelled like sewage? We tried opening the window, that didn't help so we went to the front desk to get a new room. Thankfully they were able to accomodate that. Here's where the real fun starts. The bedsheet was clean, but the duvet cover was positively not. It had some hair on it, didn't smell like it had been washed, and to top it all off, a dried blood stain on it. Yes that's right, a blood stain about 1.5-2" long. We called the reception, they said they'd bring us a new cover. After about 10 minutes, someone came up, handed me the cover, and left. They didn't even bother changing the old, dirty one with the new one. We called to ask why the person didn't change it when they came to the door and the answer was "we don't have 24 hour maid service here". SO, I'm paying $400-$500 a night to change my own bedsheets?? I guess so, at this point it was almost midnight and we didn't have any other options. We changed the duvet with the "new" one. Which also had a plethora of dog hairs (which I am allergic to), but at least no dried blood, yay? The pillows smelled absolutely disgusting but we had brought out own towels , so we just used those instead of the pillows. My wife felt so disgusted she slept with her Sweatpants and jacket on, and I maybe got about 2-3 hours of shuteye since I had to sleep next to dog hair that I was allergic to. Needless to say, this will be a property we will never return to. This was, by far, the worst experience I've ever had at a hotel. read more

Outdoor heated pool and jacuzzi are very nice, you can walk down the steps to the Gondola for semi ski in ski out. Excellent location since it's near Mammoth Village. The room was very comfortable and quiet with a nice fireplace.
