I called a week before my stay and was told they had 2 Tesla chargers and 1 J1772 and they were free to charge. Turns out they have 5 J1772 and they were 0.40 per kW. Our full size fridge/freezer did not work and had their maintenance guys come 3 times which eventually they brought us a mini fridge. Took about 7 hours to get the mini fridge. Pool area is being worked on so part of it is closed off

Terrible customer service. Run down room. Broken toilet and phones. No response when requesting service for toilet. Hot room with No air conditioning. Broken fans in unit. One did not turn on at all, the other was too noisy. Hard to access room, door jammed and the lock malfunctioned. Will never return and cannot recommend this extremely expensive and disappointing hotel.

We recently spent a few nights in Mammoth, and this was our first stay at The Village Lodge. We had a one bedroom condo, and it had everything we needed, a stocked kitchen although we weren't cooking in. The living room had a fireplace, and a small balcony overlooking the Village Shops. Parking is in an underground lot, and we didn't have trouble parking. But we were also there mid week in October when there weren't many tourists, or skiers. While I have no complaint about the condo, it is a large complex, and if it was crowded in Mammoth and all the restaurants down below were open, I can see where our condo could have been noisy. It is a great location if you want to walk to restaurants and the ski lift. It is also an easy walk to Mammoth Brewery from the condo. We have stayed at many condos in Mammoth and cabins at Tamarack lodge. I prefer something with views of the mountains. We could have scheduled housekeeping, it wasn't automatic. Being as we were only there two nights, we opted not to have housekeeping come in.

If I could, I would give this place more stars! My husband and I love coming up here for our anniversary (October). This is shoulder season and honestly the best time to come. It's not busy, the hotels have deals, and the fall leaves are gorgeous. The Village Lodge is normally way out of our price range during the peak seasons but not during shoulder season and we booked through Mammoth Mountain website and got a deal. Maria who works here was also super accommodating and so pleasant. She helped get our room fast and with a beautiful view. The people are amazing who work here, the amenities are great, and you can't beat the location. The rooms are huge and comfy and overall you just don't want to leave. I highly recommend coming here during off times and truly enjoying the hotel. It's beautiful and they decorate!

For the price we paid for this condo, I was underwhelmed and unimpressed. When we arrived, the room was incredibly hot and stuffy. We had tried to plug in the portable air conditioner, but quickly found out it did not work. The entire condo felt rundown and outdated. It was not the level of clean I would've liked it. There were stains on the carpet, some of the moulding around the doors was barely hanging on, the lock handle on my window screen was broken, and there were multiple scratches and signs of heavy use all around the condo. Additionally, the lights in the bathroom would flicker on/off for 5 seconds before fully turning on and when they were on, they were faint and very dim. There were also two cigarette butts on our patio, which really shows you how well they clean the place. We had four people staying in the condo and two of our guests were going to be driving separately since they could not get the time off of work to leave earlier. When I arrived early to check in, I was told that our other guests would not be able to park on site and were going to have to park in the public parking lot across the street which cost $50 a day. The hotel didn't offer to cover the cost of their parking. I thought that was absurd! The only redeeming factor of this condo was that it was located by the gondola that gets you to the mountain and there were multiple restaurants and activities nearby. Besides that, I don't know if I would stay here again. It was definitely NOT worth the price.

How much is overnight parking for hotel guests? (We have 2 cars)

Do the condo kitchens have Keurig machines or regular coffee makers? Just wondering what to pack. Thanks.

They had a regular coffee maker.

It was our first time staying as we used to stay in the village but we have our Molly now so we wanted a dog friendly place. The "bad" reviews had me a little worried but from the moment we arrived through the morning we had to head home it was amazing! Everything! Ross, Dave, Aldo, Mike and I know I'm missing some but they were all the best! Great personalities and so helpful and personable! We had one day with no power as the electric company was working on something above and Ross called to let us know the day before. We were fine and just kept the refrigerator closed all went sightseeing down 395 all day but they offered to charge any devices in the lodge if need be etc. The continental breakfast was perfect and delicious. Great choices. We had a kitchen in our room as we do like to cook so we did not try the restaurant for lunch or dinner this time but we enjoyed a cocktail. We loved the cabin itself from the fireplace, the bedrooms and two different bathrooms and the kitchen had everything we needed to the lakes so close for Molly. My daughter's paddle board was perfect there. There were short hikes, longer hikes or just a walk on the path to walk along also close to our cabin. We've already booked our week for next summer and are looking very forward to it! Thanks for a wonderful vacation Tamarack Lodge!! The LaCasa family!!

I came in here around 11am, however, their restaurant doesn't open until noon. There is a really nice lounge area where there are two fireplaces, jazz playing and a really cozy space to just relax. I just came here both days resting between XC sessions, ate some lunch I brought, had some water and just chilled out. Id definitely love to return and have a cocktail here and hang out here with a special someone, flirting the night away, plotting some clandestine tryst (maybe a beautiful hike into the mountains behind - looking at stars, listening for wild animals) and deeply enjoying life, big grins, and making each day count. Id also consider staying here on my next return, the surrounding area is just gorgeous!

Coffee makers in the rooms are terrible and leak everywhere. Luckily they have coffee near the front desk. 3 stars Food: Due to staffing shortages they sometimes have to cancel the continental breakfast. be sure to bring your own or be ready to go out to eat. Comfort There is no central heating with thermostat so you have to use the wall unit. I would recommend turning that on immediately upon arriving in the room because it takes a while to heat up. 3 stars. They do have a Jacuzzi on the bottom floor and it is quite large. There's a noisy fan blowing so consider bringing some noise canceling headphones if you're going to go into that water. Swimwear might be sensible as well other than that I had a smooth check-in and they got all my particulars exactly right. 5 stars. comfort: bring earplugs because the doors in the hallways are heavy and loud. they're constantly slamming every time somebody comes and goes. The bathrooms are standing showers (no tubs). I always wish there was a handheld wand/hose instead of the spigot that just rains on you. Maybe consider bringing one of those handhelds too?

Several light switches in the room also didn't turn on, which made things frustrating after dark. Parking was another issue -- the garage spaces were extremely tight ("squishy" is honestly the best word for it), and there wasn't enough room to comfortably park, let alone maneuver. Noise was also a problem -- it was quite loud from other guests staying nearby, making it hard to relax or get good rest during our stay. On top of that, we asked about a later checkout and were told no -- even though we offered to pay extra for the extension. A little flexibility would've gone a long way, especially given the other problems we were already dealing with. Overall, the basics just weren't handled here. I'd think twice before booking again.

The location is excellent -- less than a 5-minute walk to the gondola. They also offer ski valet right in the lobby, which makes the walk even shorter. Huge plus: boot dryers. Check-in was super easy, and we upgraded our room to one of their "condos." Just to set expectations: this isn't a full condo. It's essentially a hotel room with a small living area and a Murphy bed. Still comfortable and totally fine for what we needed. The best part of this hotel is that it's dog-friendly -- and truly dog-friendly. Any size dog, big or small, and there were dogs everywhere (including ours). There's a forested area behind the hotel that's perfect for letting your pup play in the snow. One downside: some guests don't pick up after their dogs, so there was dog poop around even though the hotel provides bag dispensers. Maybe adding more (or enforcing cleanup) would help. The price is good, the hotel is clean, but it is old -- very old -- and definitely showing its age. The hallway floors are uneven, the elevator makes some questionable noises, and nothing about it feels modern. That said, after skiing all day, the four hot tubs and heated pool are amazing and very much appreciated. I stay here for convenience, not luxury. The beds are comfortable, towels are clean, and that's honestly all we need. Plus, it's close to The Yodler, our favorite restaurant. We've stayed here many times before and will stay many times again.

We ate at both restaurants located on the property, enjoying the yodeler by far the best! Outside hot tub and pool have great views of the mountain and the indoor hot tub tubs are for when it's too cold outside. Great access to outdoor activities at 8900 feet!
