04/29/26 - Weston Coffee & Tap right across the street from The Jefferson Park Train/Bus stop. They have been here for 8 years. I've literally driven by so many times. I went to my eye Dr Lau less than 1 block north of Weston Coffee & Tap. While I was there I decided to take a walk & see what was in the area. That's when I spotted Weston's Coffee & decided to check it out. They had some good looking sandwich options in the window so I went in. Weston's is a cool little restaurant & tap. They sell a variety of sandwiches, wraps, salads, coffee, tea & beer & wine. Cool little store w/ a cool vibe w/lots of artwork on the walls. Best of all is the location right across the street from the Jefferson Park Transit Center. You can pick up a bus or the blue line train to ORD or downtown or the NW Metra train. I had a good time at Weston's with a local friend after landing at O'Hare. It's a neighborhood coffeeshop with breakfast foods, baked goods (and cocktails!!). Of course the litmus test is the coffee. I, honestly, am suspicious of any cup of coffee as I've been disappointed so many times. Good news - The drip coffee is really good here! Strong as it should be and satisfying. Well done, Weston's! I also had the Hot Honey English Muffin without bacon. (I'm a vegetarian.) This was okay...probably the bacon ups the flavor profile a lot and without it, even the hot honey wasn't all that present. You order at the counter and grab a seat at a table. Mugs are available for your hot drinks if you don't want to waste paper. There plenty of other standard coffee and espresso drinks to try including some signature latte flavors (Girl Scout Cookie! Spiced Maple & Sea Salt!) I'd definitely try if I was back in town. There are also a handful of vegetarian items in all of their food categories (sub sandwiches, pressed sandwiches, wraps and bagels, toasts and more.) So you won't go hungry here. They do close by 2pm or 3pm every day so if you do want to get your drinking in (beer and cocktails) plan on an early day. read more

This place is conveniently located right off the Jefferson Park blue line stop. I tried the Matcha Latte unsweetened and could really taste the earthiness of it (no grass flavor). If you like it sweetened, there are several options, including some seasonal syrups like lavender. They did not play music during the two hours I was there which I really appreciated. I have been a customer at Weston's for many years since it opened. I love the atmosphere, the coffee, the food, and the folks who work there. It is always clean, the food is fresh and delicious, and the prices are reasonable for the quality you get. I have made good friends with some of the people who work at Weston's over the years. That is a rarity for someone like myself. It goes to show that everyone involved in this place works hard to make it welcoming and that is difficult to find with some of the other local spots in town. If you are a commuter, it's a phenomenal place stop in during a longer switchover at Jefferson Park across the street. Even when I had a car I would stop in to Weston's when I could just to see folks and have a cold brew, it just has that special vibe. It's literally one of my favorite places in Chicago. Shoutout to the former baristas Irena and Monika, the owner Nick, and the current staff who all make it very special to this day. Thus, if you are looking for a good spot in Jefferson Park to work, grab a cup, or just sit and enjoy a chat with a friend, this is a wonderful sport. I cannot recommend enough. read more

The location is directly across the Blue Line Jefferson Park stop. It is rustic in nature and quiet for the most part. This take on a modern cafe in a suburban outskirts is well-played. There does need to be more of a vibe within the place with the music and ambiance in my opinion. I ordered a soy latte with cinnamon. It was light and the beans were good but standard. Weston's is directly across the street from the Jeff Park transit station. Pretty convenient location for sure. There's street parking available as well. They have free WiFi for guests. Bathroom is customers only, and there's a code to get into it. They have a variety of seating: A couple high-top tables; counter at the front window as well as along the kitchen/prep area; two-tops, three that are totally free standing with chairs in both sides and the other three that have a chair on one side and a shared bench along the wall. I noticed that in the high tops they have a purse/bag holder under the table so you can hang your bag, which is something I rarely see at restaurants for some reason. My bacon egg and cheese bagel was just ok. The bacon was barely cooked in my opinion; very fatty still and unappetizing. So I took it all off and that was probably the most expensive element of the sandwich. It's always a gamble ordering something with bacon and this time it did not pay off. They grill them with a panini press or something which isn't something I be come across for bagel sandwiches but works well. I also got a masala chai latte which was pretty good, and ordered a spiced maple latte for someone else and apparently that was really good. Their jalapeño pineapple margarita sounded good. I like that they have adult drinks as well as coffee and whatnot; seems like there should be more places that are coffee shops by day and wine bars by night. Beer and coffee in the same place, and you can come in the morning and get both even. It just unfortunately has limited hours so get here at breakfast or at lunch. Weston's is located across from the Jefferson Park station. Good place for commuters or anyone. There's not many other good places around it in the morning so come fuel up with booze, caffeine, or each of these. After coming for both the beer and coffee I have to say it's one of my favorites around here. It's only open for breakfast and lunch. The drinks are the main thing but there's some eats though. Has only a few beers on tap, all local crafts. It's about $6 a pint. Coffee menu is a little bigger. The Chagaccino was the one specialty. It's $5, not bad for local coffee. This was cacao, chaga, cinnamon, monk fruit sweetener, and vanilla. Has a few non dairy milks including oat. The food menu includes Avocado Toast. It's $9 for a couple pieces. The toppings make up most of it though. Good flavor and filling. There's arugula, avocado, black pepper, olive oil, and sea salt. Simple yet awesome. The rest of the menu includes pastries and breads. Has a good menu and a good ambiance. It only has a few tables but it's not usually busy so there's mostly plenty of room. Weston's is a cute spot on Milwaukee right across the street from the Jefferson Park transportation center. Their branding on their awning is honestly what caught my eye as I was driving by one day. I finally got in on my lunch break today for a drink. There were two very friendly staff, several tables of customers, and a few standing customers waiting to order or waiting for their order. The space isn't large but didn't seem crowded. I would definitely bring my laptop and work here any day. The staff were taking orders and making those orders and kept the line running smoothly. I ordered a small Christmas cookie cappuccino from the winter menu. The woman that rang me up and made my drink was so friendly and charismatic, I didn't catch her name but her hair was in braids on 12/13, and her customer service alone would bring me back here. Both staff seemed to know the regulars and engaged in conversation that was really welcoming. At drink hand off, my new favorite barista with the braids said she REALLY hoped I loved my drink, and it was the warmest wish I've ever been given and she seemed so happy to have made it. Notably, my cappuccino was delicious and I hope she knows I really DID love it. The espresso was smooth, not bitter, the cookie butter was perfectly decadent. Don't sleep on their winter menu items! Friendly staff in a great location right by the CTA. The inside is full of what looks like local art and there's a cool outdoor area with a pretty Jefferson Park mural and seating alongside the cafe. I go here once or twice a week (I'm also a regular at much fancier and less fancy coffee houses). The brewed coffee from Metropolis which they serve here is good and the espresso drinks are above average, though not quite artisanal level. The Espresso drinks with milk are a little on the milky side, as other have mentioned, so ask for less milk if that's not your thing. Personally I like it. Prices are maybe a little high here but it's a prime location, so I think it's fair for them to charge like fifty cents more for a drink than other NW Side coffee houses. For food I've only ever got the veggie bagels and veggie sandwiches but these are always good. The very few times I've pointed out a problem they immediately fixed it. Never noticed a problem with speed of service - remember this is a coffee house, not a Jimmy Johns, and adjust your expectations accordingly. It's good. Ambience is a little indie but without being intimidating at all, which I really appreciate. I saw somebody in another review complain about Monika and all I can say is, if you have a problem with Monika then you are probably really crazy! She is just a completely normal person and barista from what I can tell. read more

Wonderful coffeeshop I stumbled upon not too far outside downtown. The ambience was so great that I decided to stay for couple hours and get some work done rather than just grab my coffee to go as I'd initially planned. They use metropolis coffee beans- one of my favorite roasters in Chi. My latte was phenomenal with house made lavender syrup, honey, sea salt, and oat milk. The veggie sub was fine, just didn't stand out, but a good amount of food for the price. They have ample seating, free wi-fi, and a bar with a few solid beers on tap. I would definitely come back, maybe on a day to check out the Jefferson Park farmer's market and explore the neighborhood. read more

So much frothy goodness! Their lattes are some of the best I've had in the city, especially if you like a lot of frothy milk type of drinks. They are a little on the sweet side and a little reminiscent of a famous coffee chain, but they taste so much better than that. I have been to "Weston's Coffee & Tap Co." quite a few times since they opened late last year. I gotta be honest; I was afraid of this place not being able to make it since there used to be a coffee kiosk inside the Jefferson Park Blue Line. Yes, indie coffee shops could be difficult to survive in this neighborhood, especially when D*nkin Do*uts was right there to compete. I now no longer take the blue line to work, but that's alright because I may detour myself on the way home to get some coffee. Weston's brews "Metropolis," so there is no doubt about the quality. They have great cold brew, and their speciality drinks are innovative. I had the "Jeff Park Fog"one day: it's similar to the London Fog, except lavender and honey are the additions. It has a hint of sweetness, yet the lavender flavor calms down and puts a touch of sophistication in it. I finally wrote this review because I can see many people are fan of Weston's as well. I did see a good amount of patrons there each time I stopped in. They also serve alcoholic beverages, wine, and draft beer. Well, it doesn't hurt to have the liquor license because it creates another attraction to draw us thirsty humans in! I pray that "Weston's" is here to stay. My friends and I had a great time here. It's a great location right across from the blue line. There is a great selection of iced teas, and the food is good as well. Workers are kind. A new neighborhood coffee shop that has recently opened and I finally came to check it out. I must say I was very happy with the ambience, service and quality of food. I ordered the coffee and Jasmine tea. Both were good and very hot. I tried their prosciutto toast which was phenomenal. It was prosciutto , cream cheese, , apple slices, arugula, topped with a drizzle of honey placed on open toast. All the ingredients complimented each other perfectly. It was so good! The bread used was very tasty and toasted to perfection. It had a nice crunch. They also have a limited Beer, Wine, Draft from the Old Irving BrewingCo., and Cocktails. It's cool that they serve Breakfast items, sandwiches, variety of Morning drinks, and alcohol drinks. It's a place where you can try a little of everything. Totally recommend this place! read more

False advertising and fake prices. Their menu shows one cost and they charge another. No apologies, no offer to fix the cost, and they actually lied to me saying that "this is the cost with tax". I'm definitely a fan. I've tried the avocado burrito as well as the prosciutto toast. Both are delicious and I would recommend them. At the suggestion of other reviews, I tried the lavender latte which did not disappoint. I honestly appreciate any place where I don't have to feel awkward asking about non-dairy options. I would also agree that the vibe is just right here. The staff is always friendly. The music is pretty good and not too loud, allowing for a catch-up or a work-from-home-away-from-home option. A cozy spot with a solid coffee selection, beer/wine happy hour and sandwiches. I popped in for a quick bite and there were plenty of tables and seats at the bar to settle into. I got The Nas, which I was told was an homage to a Russian drink, though it's not one I recognized, but it was essentially a well balanced latte with a rich of sweet mint. Seemed an odd concept, but it was quite lovely. They also steam their milk with the espresso in it, and while I don't know if it makes a bit of difference, it was yummy and I don't care :) I also got a prosciutto, pesto and mozzarella toasted sandwich, not on the menu, which was light and delicious. As other reviews have mentioned, it's located directly across from the Jefferson Park stop making it a convenient location. Overall, I thought it was just OK. I would not go out of my way to come here, but it's certainly not bad. When I visited, there were no prices listed on the menu which was annoying. The actual price was roughly what I would expect but I hate when coffee shops don't list the price. I ordered a latte and it was barely warm and on the milky side. Not the worst I've had but very meh. I think it's a fair option if you're nearby and don't want Dunkin. read more

The food is good and I've gotten sandwiches from here on multiple occasions. My issue is that every single time I've gotten a sandwich they have messed it up. EVERY SINGLE TIME. And I'm very over it by now. Why give the option to take things off the sandwich if you're going to put everything on it anyway. Not once has the sandwich been made right. read more
