Regarding the service department: In the almost 30 years I've been on this earth I have never felt I needed to write a review for anything until now. These people kept my car for 3 months to diagnose an engine light issue. They never called to keep me informed of anything during those three months. I had to go through all the voice prompts to call every week to get an update of which they replied "we are still diagnosing it" I ended up having to pay over $2000 for a rental car of which I was not reimbursed or accommodated for. I finally get my car back and they say they checked everything and it all looked good so they weren't sure what caused the light to come on but they replaced the battery and it turned the engine light off. They tell me if the light comes back on I can bring it back and they'll cover it. I drive the car for 2 days and the engine light comes on. I called to reschedule an appointment and they tell me the next available is 1 month out. I wait the month, bring the car and now they're telling me the issue is with the cooling system which will be around $1500 to repair. Of which they will not accommodate or do anything to rectify. There's no eta on the parts or how quick the repair will be so I'm without a car again. I'm a service worker as well so i understand most of the ins and outs of guest facing businesses but this right here is foul and unacceptable. The lack of support, communication, professionalism and willingness to find a common ground is something I've never experienced before. I came here after I got a recall notice in the mail for a part on my Hyundai. The next day I came into this dealership to get a better Idea of what was going on with my car. I was politely greeted and welcomed to set up an appointment to get the recall fixed. The red headed receptionist helped me schedule an appointment that was about a month and a half out. Thankfully they were able to get me in on a Friday afternoon. Two week and a week out I got a text reminder regarding the appointment. I was running a little late for my appointment today when I called to let them know I was told not to worry and they routinely leave a window between each service. It was difficult putting in to the parts / service center. The dealership located on the corner of Cassat and Waterside and the service center is located right behind that. If you are coming the back way it's difficult turning into the service center with no room to turn around. Overall I had a good experience but plan extra time to get things serviced It always will take longer then expected. For regular routine services like an oil change it can be a bit pricey. I've never experienced a salesperson with soooo little customer service. Talk about ZERO service after the sale. Her name is Hermajesty and she is a salesperson that offers NO solutions for customer problems. She is very annoying to deal with. It wasn't even a dilemma caused by the customer or even by the manufacturer. A very specific communication between her and the customer was done properly and made well in advance to make arrangements to pick up an item from the sales department which is usually handled by the service department. She dropped the ball and offered NO solution to fix her mistake. Very annoying! Btw Westside Wyatt is a salesperson over there that made NO commission on this sale and he displayed better customer service than she did. He has more customer service skills in his little pinky than she has in her whole being. Zero stars if possible Had an appt for my car to be serviced. They wanted to keep my car for two weeks while they order the part it needed. Which is nonsense to me I need a vehicle to drive I cannot sit without a car for two weeks. I don't understand why am I being charged to take my car when they didn't even do anything to it. I wasn't offered a rental to use or nothing. This is the shittiest car dealership I've ever went to. Long story short they let me leave with the vehicle I purchased putting 1000 Down the same day. A month later they called me telling me that I did not get approved for the car and I was left without a car right before Christmas. Just purchased a 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe SEL with the incredible help of Norberto and Deven! I came in, wanting to test drive, told Norberto up front that it was only a test drive, we had a killer deal set up down south but I had never driven a Hyundai and wanted to see if it was something I would like. I would never recommend anyone to this dealership. The sale price on the listing increased by $2000 and they cannot provide a breakdown on how the cost increased. I have not bought a car from a dealership in years and the experience has been beyond horrible. If I could give this car back and shop from another dealership I would. I don't understand how you cannot account for $2000 increase in cost and the only explanation I receive is that's just how it is. I was relieved to get on Yelp and see that my terrible experience at this Hyundai dealership wasn't me, but rather a systemic issue with the business. I wish I could give zero stars, as one is simply too kind This review is regarding the service area only. To begin, the waiting room smells absolutely terrible. I spoke with a representative the evening before and she said that they open at 7am. I arrived promptly at 7, only to find out that the technicians don't arrive until 8am. Why didn't they mention this on the phone the evening before? A common trend at his Hyundai dealer is repeating your information to myriad people; there seems to be zero communication or work flow process in place. I wrote down all of my information on post it notes, which could possibly be why the work flow is so disorganized. Here's the worst part: I took my car in for a relatively simple recall item. The dealership tried to upsell me with a "free multi point inspection". The most egregious part of this is that they recommended that I change my cabin air filter, something that I'd done only 3k miles ago (for reference- most recommend changing every 10k - 30k miles). This is a notoriously high margin item that I'd expect to see offered at a Jiffy Lube, not a dealership. They also recommended replacing my battery (at a cost of $180 when the same battery is $130 with free installation at Auto Zone) The mechanic then recommended that I do a spark plug replacement that isn't due for another 20k miles (as per the Hyundai service schedule) They add a 15% surcharge for a very ambiguous "parts and disposal" to every single transaction. I asked about this, and the woman at the desk claimed that it is state mandated- which is a total lie. I've never seen another mechanic do this, other than the normal surcharges for oil/tire disposal. This was easily the worst dealer experience of my life. It's a glorified Jiffy Lube, not a dealership. BE CAREFUL. DO NOT TRUST WHAT THIS BUSINESS SAYS!!! If you want to go here fine, just do your homework before to ensure that you aren't getting screwed. I bought a 2013 Chevy Cruze on a Wednesday, it overheated on the way home, not even 2 miles away, and it had no oil or coolant in it when checked. Had it towed to the shop where it cost me $240. The very next day after picking it up from the shop it BROKE DOWN again, still not even 1 week after purchasing it, had it towed to the shop again, only to be told they misdiagnosed it the first time, that the engine head is blown and it is going to cost almost $3,000 to fix it. My husband got in a knock out drag down fight with the sales person and they actually kicked us out of the dealership. Called the dealership probably 5 times to cancel the gap insurance. Completed the gap cancellation form for Nicholas Newcomb. They never sent form into gap cancellation company. I emailed my form to Nicholas on November 28. Just called gap cancellation company today (January 2) and they still have not received anything. I finally decided to do myself. My 2021 Genesis has been in the shop for over a year. It ended up, after making some other repairs, needing a new engine. Total bill around $7,000. Okay. Over about two months it was one thing after another, parts were hard to get and finally the mechanic they wanted to fix it had a bad fall. They loaned me a car. I thought it might be a couple of weeks, but every time I called he was still out. No progress. I went through a serious health issue after which there was a death in my household. when All this settled down I began called the service department. No one was available and no one called me back. Finally I reached a service rep. It turns out my car was no longer on the "fix list." The service rep knew nothing about it. The service manager, however, did. He did not offer to speak to me personally, but told her they were still waiting for the injured mechanic to come back. They waited a year. It's still not fixed. That was a month ago. NO ONE HAS CALLED ME ABOUT THIS!! I mentioned I thought they should comp the car because it had been sitting for a year deteriorating. The service manager let the service rep know that that wasn't going to happen. He offered me nothing. I called corporate. They were shocked and sympathetic, but not helpful. Corporate was told my car would be ready at the end of this week. It seems the mechanic has miraculously returned. Still no direct contact from the service manager. You would think he would try to negotiate something with me or at least say he was sorry. How proud do you think the Hanninias are of the way this transaction was handled? I am so shocked and disappointed. Not getting any satisfaction on this issue is unbelievable. read more

Things have not improved here in terms of the smell. There's also a thick layer of dust on shelving at the customer waiting area, which is literally disgusting. I'm afraid to drink the water because I can't imagine anyone has changed the filter since this place opened, when they can't even wipe up some dust. To further class up the joint, the ladies room toilet was clogged. Let's not ignore the fact that I've been waiting four hours for something that should have taken two. There's a major difference between waiting two hours and waiting four -- I definitely would have sprung for the Uber ride back and forth to not have lost a whole half of a day of my life watching HGTV at a too-high volume while praying my unborn baby is OK after sitting in such a gross environment for this amount of time. The fact that 8 or 9 people have come and go from the waiting room feels like a, "screw you, in particular." Staff has been nice, but now that we're well into hour 4 of waiting, I guess you could say we're like a little family now. I bought a new Palisade last June from them. They were nice to me when I purchased it. I had problems with the chrome plastic being stained and they had their employees try and fix it but it never did correct the problem I took it to the collision center yesterday and they told me this should be covered under the new vehicle warranty. They wrote up a estimate which would cost $820.00 to fix. The dealer has not even helped with my problems This is a 2020 Hyundai Palisade Limited I had them put ceramic coating on the vehicle and Llumar wrap it. They go through Managers and Service reps like water down the drain So every time I talk to them I have to start from the beginning. I don't see why a dealer can not help their customers especially since it is a new vehicle. I will not shop there again and not recommend them to anyone. A new vehicle should not have problems like this. It is kept in my garage and only has 3300 miles on it. I purchased this 26 June 2019 It had just come in from Korea to this dealer. No 2 people working together knows what's each other is doing or what went on. The lady in the service dept window seems to have an attitude but just fake it for the customers. Very bad at it. The promise u a rental while ur car is being fixed, but then they don't have a tag for it and send u back to the sales person that don't know what is going on and sent u to the service dept for the rental in the first place. I made an appointment for 12:30 and had it towed there 30 minutes early. After no follow up and waiting two days after the appointment, I chose to call the dealership and check on the status. To my disappointment, I was told that my vehicle was still sitting with no inspection yet and that I will get an update later. I called back later in the day with the same response and demanded the reasoning of setting an appointment, in which at that point they claimed I did not have an appointment set! I re-explained my situation to the confused appointment scheduler and she then figured out that she spelt my name incorrectly the day of the appointment. She explained that there is a shortage of technicians and that hopefully they will have an update tomorrow. Within an hour, she called back with the diagnosis of the engine having a misfire and that it would be about $3000 to repair the spark plugs, ignition coils, wheel speed sensor, and air filters. I questioned not only the cost, but if this was the reason why the vehicle had acceleration issues while making whinnying noise at about 2000rpms, with smoke coming out the side of the engine (where the turbo is located), and the shaking of the vehicle. Honestly seemed very suspicious that they were able to check the vehicle so quickly after complaining about the appointment. Which leads me to believe that it was not properly inspected and that the repair proposal was built exactly to what the service advisor claimed the issue was. I researched the parts numbers, cost, and found out the labor charge would be $230 an hour (estimated 2 hours to repair) for changing out the ignition coils that only take 10 minutes or less. This is obviously a scam from the shop to overcharge hard working consumers that may be ignorant to the cost of parts and labor. I chose to have the wheel sensor and spark plugs changed, knowing they were ripping me off, just to get my vehicle back by Monday. I paid $1042 for this nonsense and picked up the vehicle after waiting a week. As soon as I drove off the lot and traveled over 20mph, the vehicle started accelerating poorly again, there was still the same whinnying noise at 2000 rpms, and the engine started smoking again. Absolutely ridiculous! They were polite, apologetic, and quick to check it out again (closing time as they were walking out the door). Instantly stated that the turbo needs to be replaced! Not only did I just overpay for something that was not the reason for my original engine issue, but they had the nerve to say this was not the original issue! Even though it's the exact statement I gave when originally setting the appointment and dropping off the vehicle. Really long story short, they attempted to get Hyundai to pay for the turbo repair with a good faith credit and got 50% offered, then it was approved for 75% to be covered, which sounds great if it wasn't "$4000" to repair and costing me out of pocket another $1200 with taxes. I work with multiple clients that will be informed of the fraudulent activities being put on subsequent owners that don't get the 100k factory warranty. This has been the worst experience due to the negligence of the appointment scheduler, service advisor, and the technicians that inspected/repaired the vehicle. Not only did this experience waste my time, but it gives poor value to the brand's reputation. Highly disappointed with expectations and I still don't have my vehicle fixed. read more

After 2 hours, I checked and was told they hadn't been able to start on my car, but would get to it "right away". I explained I had another obligation and asked for my car and left. They didn't care. They didn't try to make it right. They obviously have more business than they can handle. The Westside Servass Dept. is 1. Poorly run. 2. Poorly staffed. 3. A bad system with a bad attitude. It was driven on and off the wrecker, however once it arrived, I was notified my batt and starter were bad ($400 quote for starter repair). I sent up a batt and was told it still had the same issue. I went in on 6/14/19 because I was sent a $50 gift coupon to test drive a new car, I would receive the $50 gift card via email in 24 hours--per James Holloway, GM. I "bought" a 2019 Hyundai Elantra for 4 DAYS! Richard in finance called me on day 4 and said the financing did not go through and I had to return the car! The salesman helped me fill out the credit application and said to say I had been on my job for 6 months even though it had only been 3 months. Also, the first 2019 car I test drove had 18 miles on it and the second 2019 car I test drove had over 1,800 miles on it!! WHAT?? I told them I didn't want a "brand new" car with over 1,800 miles on it already but I would think about it and let them know in 24 hours. HARD SELL PRESSURE THEN! They told me if I didn't take the car that day, then I would not get financing. And if I didn't take the second car I would not get financing. This has been the most humiliating, degrading experience! I have been totally disrespected and lied to. Fast forward to today, almost a month later. I have left messages and sent emails to James Holloway to find out where my promised $50 gift card is..NO RETURN CALLS OR RETURN EMAILS. And SURPRISE! He is off work today again (convenient). I made an appointment for 11:45 to get my brake switch repaired since it's under recall. Reread the first line: made an APPOINTMENT. I had been waiting over 2 hours and my car had still not been touched, and since my brake switch was malfunctioning, my brake lights were on the entire time because the technician didn't have the common sense to disconnect the battery terminal. My 21 year old daughter went to have an Front end alignment ( February 7,2020 )on her Sonata the service workers assure her that the alignment was done however when driving the vehicle home the car begin shaking and she returned to dealership service department were she was told oh it's because you need tire rotation and wheel balance, so she returned ( February 8, 2020 )the next day to have the recommendations done only now she's told you'll need front wheel axle well if she need axle how did you guys preform the Alignment would that have been seen or checked before you did the alignment, And she had their check list stating everything was checked and good . I have service and ac work done 5 weeks ago and the ac is blowing hot again. after being on hold for an hour I called from a different phone - two computer guided rounds I finally got to speak to sales to get a real person instead of th 'AI- Brooke". after two attempts I finally got a Genesis loyalty rep the said they would call me back. service called back and said they couldn't see it for a week and could not give me a loaner. Okay. 45 min later, he's avoiding me, I find another guy and tell him I have health issues that I need to get home to Fernandina before dark, as I cannot drive in the dark, so he goes to find out , got the other guy out of hiding, 20 more mins, my God, at this time I am so stressed out , I complained to no avail, finally the guy pulls my car around, I get the papers and he had pulled the car in the middle of the drive with car in front, , being sarcastic, he says can you get the car out or do I have to do it for you.
