This review is specific to their service center, as I've never had interaction with the sales side of this dealership. I've had my vehicle serviced at this location 3 times, all for different reasons, and the service has been fantastic every time. I've been to 3 other Hyundai dealerships in town for service and this shop blows it out of the water. They are kind, efficient, and transparent. Long story short - my 2015 Sante Fe was here for an engine replacement under warranty and while under their care experienced a 'thermal event'. We negotiated a settlement/new car deal. I wanted to pay the car in full that day but was told I would lose incentives if I didn't finance. I was also told that when the first bill showed up just pay the car in full. Well it showed up with interest added to it and I was guaranteed I would not have to pay the interest. After communicating with the GM on 2/2/2026 and subsequently with the assistant manager (3/28/26) they were going to reimburse me the interest. To date, no reimbursement has been received. I have tried to reach our again and no one is responding to my messages. This is not a good look for management and reflects badly overall on the dealership. 4/11/26 heard back from assistant manager and a check is being issued but requires 3 signatures. Will update this review again 4/22/26 No word from assistant manager/general manager/anyone at Hyundai since last communication....no response to my follow up email either. read more

Yesterday, I had a terrible interaction with this Hyundai dealership. Colby called me, gave me my financing terms (I filled the full application out online) and gave me a great "out-the-door" price along with my monthly payment options. When I went in to test drive, everything changed. He gave me a much higher interest rate, an increase in overall price of thousands of dollars and refused to offer any explanation. When I asked to see the pre owned Hyundais, he refused to let the sales person show them to me and kept trying to push me to test drive new cars that are way over my budget and that I said I didn't like. And I know he wouldn't let her show them to me because she TOLD me she was frustrated that he wouldn't let her. I walked out. They really wasted my time. I was very excited at the prospect of purchasing a Hyundai. When giving someone thousands of dollars, it's so incredibly disrespectful to treat them like they are idiots. I contacted Westside Hyundai from out of town after finding a vehicle they had in the exact color combination I was looking for. After approximately 30 minutes of negotiations over multiple calls, we agreed on pricing and vehicle delivery. Before placing a $1,000 deposit to hold the car, I explicitly confirmed twice with the sales agent--during a recorded phone conversation--that the deposit was fully refundable. Only after receiving that confirmation did I proceed with the deposit. The very next morning, due to unexpected financial difficulties, I called to cancel the purchase and request a refund. The sales manager, Michael Lesnick, immediately refused, stating that the deposit was non-refundable. I explained that I had been clearly assured otherwise by the sales agent. Mr. Lesnick said he would review the recorded call and get back to me. About an hour later, he called back claiming he had reviewed the audio and that the sales agent stated the deposit was only refundable if there was something wrong with the car. This was a blatant fabrication. He clearly did not review the recording and instead invented an explanation to justify withholding the money. I then requested to speak with the General Manager. After a long and tense exchange, GM Colby Peterson reviewed the recording himself and confirmed that the deposit was indeed refundable. However, he claimed it was "store policy" that refunds are only issued on Wednesdays or Thursdays--six days later. While this sounded suspicious, I agreed to wait. On Wednesday morning, I sent a polite reminder and received no response. On Thursday, I called and asked for Mr. Peterson, who was unavailable. I left a message requesting a callback, which I never received. Late that evening, I received a text stating that the refund had been processed and that a receipt had been emailed to me. I checked all inbox folders and received nothing. I requested a copy of the refund receipt and again received no response. A legitimate refund would immediately appear as a pending transaction on my credit card, which it has not. This strongly suggests that once again I was misled. Do not give these thieves masquerading as a car dealership your business. They have shown a willingness to lie, deflect, and use sleazy tactics to keep customer money. I tried to resolve this professionally and patiently, but they have left me no choice but to file a credit card dispute. I will also be reporting this experience across social media and to appropriate government agencies so others are aware and can avoid this dealership. read more

Our appointment was for 12:30 and it's now 2 hours later and they still aren't done. 2 plus hours for a 30 minute job is un acceptable period. Dealership is run by people who simply do to care about you. Just chasing sales. It's a dealership so I didn't expect them to care but the audacity is unreal. I was in the market for a vehicle, I reached out and every day I would get 5+ calls, texts, emails about buying a car from them. I finally drove up two hours from Orlando to Jax to buy a car. They had to bring the car over from a sister dealership. In the two hours I drove there, the car was not on property when I arrived. I was forced into buying a "family plan" (funny name since they don't give a crap about you) because the family plan was "already attached to the vehicle and they couldn't sell the car without it because they already pretreated the car, put on door guards and had the vin number etched in all the windows. Family plan comes with an app to access all your "exclusive features" . My sales person Simona had no idea on how to use it or even activate it. I got the run around for a week to get any information on it. I finally asked the the GM Colby and things got even worse. He said he would take care of the issue but then ghosted me for a week. I was fed up and tired of waiting because I needed the info on the family plan because not even a week after getting the car, the door guards were peeling off. I reached out to the companys CEO's sons, Marc and Jack Jr (who run the business at the corporate level) and they said they would investigate. Colby called me the same day and addressed half my issues. Said he would get back to me by end of day 8/12. It is now 8/20 and haven't heard a peep from Colby. BUT BEFORE I BOUGHT THE CAR I HAD SIMONA AND HER MANAGER BLOWING UP MY PHONE! But now that I've left, they don't want anything to do with me and clearly chasing the $$$. Sucks you can't trust any car dealerships, not even family owned ones. You would think they would want long time customers who come back to buy cars multiple times but no, they just want the one and done, chase the commission check and then move on to the next person. Place is ghetto ash. Made an appointment online for a day over the weekend just to GET ALL THE WAY THERE and be told that the service isn't doable because they have a shorter staff on the weekends. Why not call me? What the hell. So I asked when I could return, the service liaison told me he could book me for first thing the following Monday, that I could leave my car there and it will be looked at. Today is Thursday, I have called twice during the week to ask for updates. You know what updates they could give? Nada; solely excuses about "my technician" (what does that even mean?? Long story short, this business is not detail oriented nor service oriented. I wouldn't recommend this location even if it was the closest to you. When he returned my car to me and made a comment that the car wash was not very good and took the car back to have it done again, instead he washed the car by hand and made sure the car was sparkling. Brought the car to me, I couldn't believe the great service I received this day and told him, he replied his mother deserved the praise because she brought him up to respect people and how to treat others right. At best I can give them 1 star. Service writer Emma was friendly and professional. Beyond that my service was disappointing. The tech deemed immediate attention was required to treat corrosion on the battery ($50). The battery is one year old and there is NO corrosion on the posts. There were three other areas determined to be in serious need, such as an alignment despite even wear on the tires. Finally, when checking the truck this morning, I noted the air filter opening lever had been broken. It was fine a few weeks ago when I replaced the filter, I believe the tech, in his haste, snapped off the plastic locating piece. I am patiently waiting to complete this entire HONEST & FACTUAL review of westside Hyundai (a Hanania family of dealerships)..yes the one that owns half of Jax! I will also post my experience of Hyundai Motors Corporation separately on their Business Yelp page. Currently I am just waiting for the outcome of all this so I can post my ENTIRE experience from the time my transmission light came on and my car would not accelerate driving from GA to Jax (a 45 minute drive that took almost 2 hours. Was advised to come to the dealership Service Center at their request and then they got mad at me for the time I pulled in (about an hour before they were closing) and they were getting ready to go home. Because I guess I had control of the fact the truck went into "safe mode" so I don't further ruin the transmission. It sticks the vehicle in fifth gear. I will complete this review until the time I either pick it up or settle with Hyundai for a buyout of the vehicle with Westside Hyundai who has had my 2023 Santa Cruz that had a bad transmission since May 2, 2024! Yes. A 2023! Bought it brand new off the lot! I was so SO excited and so happy that I was getting a brand new car and I named her Freedom because I got her right after my divorce from my abusive and controlling ex-husband so I felt free, I named my little Trucklette Freedom, y'all! In my spare time I also used my little trucklette to provide volunteer freedom rides for Dogs in shelters and rescues who needed assistance transporting dogs to Appointments, foster homes, that visits, do home checks...etc. I have probably had around 50 to 75 dogs in my little truck, including my four fur babies. and Hyundai corporation has yet to OK a new transmission and it's May 29, 2024. So much for powertrain warranty on a new car. I've only had the car for a year and it has just around 10,300 miles on it. I'm still in a loaner car but had to go through pure hell to get it including racking up a credit card bill for just under $1000 for a rental car because Westside Hyundai refused to find a loner for me even though part of which is the largest automotive group in Jacksonville. So all these days went by with me and a rental and my credit card is racking up interest on the thousand dollars for the rental. Embarrassingly I went to get groceries today and use that card and it was declined because it was maxed out ! Embarrassing, especially when I have severe and debilitating anxiety. This review will get added onto and it can go either way-depending on Hanania and also depending on Hyundai Motor Corporation. My confidence went WAY below zero right now for Hanania westside Hyundai... and Hanania as a whole. You know how they're all nice to you when you're there at the dealership "considering" buying a vehicle. Believe me y'all that tune changes tenfold just as soon as something goes wrong with said vehicle you purchased. Even IF you have their warranty and also got additional warranties. Typically a 2023 car transmission should not go. It was made with faulty parts and I have no confidence whatsoever now that this car will last the six years through the warranty "once a lemon always a lemon" and I do not want to even take it back because I'll be in the same predicament with them begging (yes I was literally begging ) for Ubers and begging for loaners racking up more debt! I had to take it in because my engine light was flashing. I read on Google that that was in limp mode and or there was a knock sensor triggered. And I said do not drive it because it could damage it more. I took it in. They did an extensive diagnostic which they always do. They thought it might be the engine rod, and that would have been covered because there's recalls for my specific car. But there was not. It was a knock sensor they fixed that issue and did the oil change. Yes, it does run more expensive but it's worth it to have the work done RIGHT!!! read more

I bought a used 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport at this place last week. Decent price and wonderful salesman (Kendrick) ... When I went to see the car, it was in the Service/Detail area and I couldn't see the interior but saw pics online. When I picked it up, there were no issues other than natural aging on handson controls, etc. HOWEVER, on the drive home I noticed the a/c was weak best. I had to leave for the week and took it to Firestone to check it out today; Westside doesn't give warranties and sells cars as-is according to the sales folks; so I went in for a full evaluation at Firestone. The condition was considered fine EXCEPT there was NO freon in the system and they had just replaced the condensor. The Firestone people said there was NO freon in the system and essential dry. Wonderful car, relatively great condition EXCEPT there was NO freon in the system. $330 later and it's blowing just fine. No damage as a result but they must have some serious quality control issues to let this happen. Maybe buy the car there after a check up but then have serviced at a place you can trust. Again, the Sales folks were wonderful and wouldn't have known the blatant error. Hyundai is great, I just wish they would train and hire folks that complete a job read more

The one and only time I trusted this place they proved their workers are not trust worthy. First off They do not schedule enough people for servicing based on the amount of customers who made appointments for that day so the attendants upfront are overwhelmed and over worked. My issue is this one time I forgot my hand bag at home and I had clothing without pockets so I decided to cover and hide my money, cards and other personal belongings out the way in the middle compartment. Bear in mind there is nothing to be fixed in the middle compartment there is no reason for anyone to access that section. When I got my car back the cover I had over my stuff was moved with my personal belongings rummaged through and my money missing. I asked to speak to a supervisor and I was basically ignored for 20 mins. I'm definitely finding another dealership because this is unacceptable and I am very upset. read more

This is by far the worst dealership I have ever been to in my life if I could give negative stars I would. My car got dropped off almost a month(since 6/27/24) ago for engine problems it took them more than two weeks to even diagnose the car, even though I had an appointment( I have no issue with how long it takes to repair but when you don't give any loaner vehicles and never call to keep someone informed that's the issue). when Issac( my service advisor) called me, he told me it was my alternator, there was no way it was my alternator because the car started, and it could also drive. Fast forward to yesterday 7/23/24 Issac and Kyle swore up and down it was the alternator and that they could not diagnose the car any further until I paid them over $2000 to fix the alternator. At that point we were not going to fix alternator with them so we decided to have the car towed home this morning. We get home this morning and the car cranks straight up. Funny thing is the AAA tow truck driver turned on the car to drive it up on to his tow truck and then turned it on to drive it off the tow truck in front of my home. They told us yesterday at the dealership that the car could not start at all and that is why we couldn't do further testing. Also from the very beginning I put in my appointment notes that the car had already been diagnosed and had an engine problem, as you see Issac wrote down something completely different. Never once did I say the vehicle can't turn on. This place is just ridiculous. Worst business. Kyle thinks he knows everything as he has stated "HR doesn't know sh*t, they find out all the information from me". This is the worst car lot I ever had to deal with. First they sold me a car that wasn't any good. Yes it drove ok during the test drive I had with Isaiah he kept saying it was a good car he pick this out just for me and sss check out all their cars and this is a good car. We were there before they opened on a Friday and explained we'd just gotten into town and had car trouble on the way (a Hyundai purchased 3 months prior). I've been coming here for years for service since it close to home. However, as my car sits there for yet another full day not being fixed... I have to say I will never come back here. A simple oil change takes over 3 hours every time. Never leave your car because they won't actually work on it until the end of day even if you have an appointment for 7 am. Horrible services. Okay experience but I had a run in with a bad employee. He was very unprofessional and made me uncomfortable. Flirting with your customers is not okay, and I won't be coming back because of it. Especially being a young woman its a risk of your own safety when you have to reject a man. Also the wait times are horrendous. It takes 6 hours for a routine software update? The good part about getting your car serviced at Hyundai is they run a full checklist making sure everything is working okay. Service center is less than desirable no one is very friendly you make an appointment and they tell you to wait in your car and they will get to you later. Technician was very rude. The flow is very congested and clunky. I will be looking to go somewhere else for my scheduled maintenance from now on. Vehicle was supposed to have free scheduled service for the first three years then told that they set your timer for a short amount of miles but it doesn't need to come in because they only cover it every 6000 miles. Again the guy wants to charge me for the scheduled service because he states it should be every 7500 miles. I have called and verified twice since mine is a turbo it is 6000 miles. read more
