It was this place or "Road Kill Cafe" across the street. Roadkill had an empty parking lot with a sign that said "Hunters Welcome". I played it safe and went to Lilo's and Im glad I did. The staff was friendly and nice. I was not a big fan of the decor of the place but I understand the theme. I asked the server what is the place known for? She said everything is fresh and hand made. I went with the buffalo chicken sandwich and it was the best I have ever tasted. I saw some other dishes people ordered like the "pot roast sandwich with gravy" or a tortilla salad and was like "Im getting that next time". read more

7 of us rode up to Seligman today in fromt of larger group. We were amazed at how packed they were with bikers and car people. We were seated at 2 seperate tables which was fine! We all had breakfast at noon and the plates overflowed with great food. The carrot cake was also AMAZING! Will be back!!!! read more

We love this roadside restaurant. Came here today because it is dog friendly on the patio. So nice for our furry friends! The food and service here at excellent. Large portions on their sandwiches, hot and crispy fries...perfect to knock out that road weary appetite. Also, big glasses to help wash down and reduce the need for refills when it is busy here. The patios are nicely shaded with views of Historic Route 66. Plenty of parking for vehicles with trailers on both the west and east sides of the building. And finally, the home made pies here are to die for. Fresh brewed coffee too, that helps keep you awake for the long road ahead. Check out the cool gift shop, and walls adorned with a global collection of license plates. So glad we stopped and ate here. read more

We decided to take a break from shoveling snow in Williams AZ and took a 35 min. drive to see what's happening in Seligman AZ. By the good reviews of LILO's, we decided to give them a try. Wow! It takes a lot to impress us, (We're from California) but this diner on Route 66 is so impressive, I suggest that everyone stop by and enjoy their menu. We shared a burger (it was a 1/2 pounder) with cheese and HOMEMADE fries. This Angus burger was delicious. Better than 5 Guys or Chili's. Tasted like it just came off your BBQ. Going back next Friday for their Fish n' Chips extravaganza! 4 huge pieces of battered fish with the homemade fries. Hurry up next Friday. Very generous portions and (get ready) homemade carrot cake. Wow wow wow!!! My kids and I are on the way to the Grand Canyon and decided to stop by here for dinner. All I can say is 20 stars for the food! I'm telling you in the middle of nowhere, this place is unbelievable for our breakfast we had. Everyone loved their food and the plates are so big you better be ready to eat because most dishes will feed two people. Great food & even better employees! I found while returning from a San Jose trip and the gal at Stagecoach motel told me to check it out. German food is also on menu and is quite delish! The owner, Pat, saw me admiring their very cool tee shirts which are designed by his daughter's friend. Very soft and nice Seligman logos, of course have Westside Liilo's Restaurant. Most importantly is the food and menu is very large; meaning large portions for certain. Please watch for the blue sign with white lettering and they have plenty of parking. Road Trip Food Stop So we were on our way to the grand canyon from LA and stopped here for breakfast. It's such a unique little spot that's very interesting, with how the interior design was all set-up. The menu is basic breakfast food but there's nothing basic about the flavor. The waitress and staff were so kind and welcoming we were so glad we stopped here. We ordered 2 orders of steak and eggs and the chicken fried steak breakfast. Right off the bat the steak was so tender juicy and perfectly cooked, it was genuinely the first time I have been impressed by a breakfast steak. The biscuits were fresh, flaky, warm and had the perfect flavor, the chicken fried steak had the perfect flavor, the breading was just right, and was seasoned perfect. Our waitress was charismatic, friendly and lovable, I really wish this place was closer to my home so I could come back sooner. Overall it left a great impression on me,. I had the chicken fried steak. It was cooked to order, the potatoes were creamy, the gravy yummy and the side was my favorite, succotash. The soup was tequila chicken soup. It was decadent I loved it. The carrot cake was dessert. It was dessert of a life time. It would've taken me a lifetime if I had to eat it by myself. I sent half if it home with Paul for his family. This is a nice Route 66 Hometown restaurant that sells breakfast as well as dinner & probably lunch. If you're looking for a place that is really speaking of the natives, this is the place I would tell you to go. I'm giving it 3.5 stars mainly because I know that one of my travel buddies got the grilled chicken and was very unhappy with it. I did get the breakfast chorizo burrito and absolutely loved it. I got the Turkey melt with bacon the night before and also enjoyed that. The service was overall good although the second time I went in there, breakfast is super busy and they continued on bypassing me And the waitress continued to bring plates to tables when I just needed a coffee that she was standing next to. read more

I don't often leave reviews, only when I have an outstanding experience. The food was fantastic with HUGE portions but the shining star of the evening was our wonderful, kind and entertaining waitress Brigid. She was so warm and welcoming even though we arrived just before closing. I will definitely be back, I will make a point to stop at LILO's whenever I do the drive to New Mexico. What a great spot to check out and eat! My family was going though here in on our way to Sedona as I was looking for a sweet treat. After reading other folks reviews, I had to stop for their homemade carrot cake. Our kids also ordered food as well a a slice of carrot cake and a slice of cheesecake. Both were great but the carrot cake is fantastic!! And the size of a "slice" was enough to feed 2-3 adults! Service was great and very attentive to us. I highly recommend stopping here! read more

On Tuesday Dec. 29, we drove to Seligman from williams just to have lunch at lilos Cafe. As usual Jody our waitress took special care. I had the flatiron steak with 2 eggs. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the steak was. Cooked perfectly. Linda had the fish with sweet potatoes fries. We were with another couple and we were laughing at how big the fish was. We cut that in half and brought it home as left overs. What makes any time out eating is the services. Jody is always on top of whatever we need. read more

Heavyset Old Lady at front counter was rude! Acted like she was a waitress. Was rude when we asked about salad prices and treated us like we were stupid for not seeing where the pricing was when all the other items had pricing right next to the food items. Then asked "Is all we plan to order is water?" We were like, no! I tried to order pie, but she asked us all to leave when we requested our orders to go. Because we didn't want to be around such a a rude person. She claimed we were rude, when we just wanted to order food and make our merry way to Vegas. I wish the Road Kill Cafe was open across the street. Because I've never been treated that way in any restaurant except for a Waffle House in Arkansas where I never got served. Their food is over priced from what we saw other tables were having. Our actual server tried to serve us, but the the older heavyset lady told her, "No, they're leaving." When we were in the gift shop I heard her complaining about her job and how she can't take is anymore. I feel like she decided to take out her misery on us. So we saved ourselves from a bad food experience. You should save yourself from it also. No photos of food because we never received any. read more

Service was friendly but slow as they were busy. I had a turkey sandwich (local favorite). It was boring. Sourdough bread wasn't worth much. Hubs had Lilo club. He likes the bacon on it. Teen had fried shrimp which he devoured. French fries were good. Carrot cake was pretty bad. Not sure why all the raves on here about that. Hard, ice cold cream cheese icing and virtually flavorless cake. It was a big slice, and that's the kindest thing I can say about it. Btw, taxidermy must be a side business bc there's so many dead animals hanging on the wall I didn't bother counting. read more

Just had an early dinner here at Westside LILO. Place was pretty busy. Very cute inside. Large variety of items on the menu. Our table had chicken strips, fried chicken, philly cheese steak, and BLT. It was all very good. Nice little stop on your way through. Update: Second time here and had a burger and the weather is great, so we sat outside and enjoyed lunch as we pass through to Flagstaff. read more

We were headed to Las Vegas after spending a few days at the Grand Canyon. Just googled where to eat breakfast and this came up so why not. What a great choice! The staff were awesome, the food was amazing, holy cow portions and reasonably priced. Looked through their lovely gift shop and bought one of the mugs. Having mis-planned Havasu Falls (plan A), sleet rained out of a local animal rescue (plan B), we decided, "darn it! We are stopping at a Rt 66 diner for eggs and bacon!" (plan C) This place did not disappoint. Holy cow! Even the NY Strip breakfast steak was good. I am a breakfast cook, and this place was great. Please see photos attached. I wish we could come back. Our very hard-working waitress did seam a bit stressed. I wish I was independently wealthy. For starters, they are open during the crisis, thanks Lilo's! I landed hungry in Seligman. Opened Yelp and saw that this place serves takeout breakfast. Called and got an enthusiastic Yes We're Open! Hoofed it over there. There was a guy in front of me ordering carrot cake for breakfast and I thought Now that's my kind of guy! He was feeding his train crew, how cool! He looked at me and said, Buddy, you better try the carrot cake! I thought, Crazy, but why not? I asked the nice lady to ice it down for me so I could get it home. She did, enthusiastically. She was an enthusiastic person. Got it home and...paradise under icing! Go to this place and order the carrot cake. PS, one serving is enough for 4 people. The icing is a separate little brick. You'll have to decide whether to heat just the icing, just the cake, or neither. Try different combinations. They're all delicious. read more

I had read this was the best place in town, on historic Route 66, and taking my family with adult kids was a fun time. We had a variety of things, the bloomin onion (yummy), salads (huge), chili burger (looked good). I did get the schnitzel which was disappointing for the money. The desserts were outrageous with the carrot cake being the best, but with Butterfinger cream pie and peanut butter cream pie being close seconds. An excellent American-german breakfast and brunch place right on the historic 66 route! We stopped here due to the fact that my traveling companion REALLY wanted some Huevos Rancheros. Well, we were not disappointed, neither by the location, nor by the Huevos Rancheros, nor by a "small" waffle with cream and strawberries that came before. The place has a lot of character on its own, with welcoming owners and well-decorated walls. There is a little bit of an old-folksy mood around (it's route 66 after all), but the food is good, provided you are tolerant to fat, gluten, cholesterol and are not on a diet. The chicken-fried steak was definitely a discovery for me and a discovery that kept me well-fed for the rest of the day. The coffee is good and the service is friendly. Recommended that our son and his family stop for breakfast on their way home from flagstaff to Los Angeles. The hidden agenda for this was to bring home one of the gargantuan cinnamon rolls. Really worth the 10 minute detour from I40. read more
