I had read this was the best place in town, on historic Route 66, and taking my family with adult kids was a fun time. We had a variety of things, the bloomin onion (yummy), salads (huge), chili burger (looked good). I did get the schnitzel which was disappointing for the money. The desserts were outrageous with the carrot cake being the best, but with Butterfinger cream pie and peanut butter cream pie being close seconds. Stopped for breakfast while traveling. I had the Route 66 special and hubby had the Chorizo breakfast burrito. Portions were quite generous. In fact we could have easily shared and still walked out full. Eggs ordered over medium were cooked exactly right. Hash browns were home made and again, cooked as I ordered - extra crispy. Pancakes were huge and slightly crispy. Yum! Hubby satisfied with his meal too except he felt that the salsa (on the side) over powered the chorizo so he didn't use it. Still, he felt it was tasty enough without it. Environment was crowded (the reason I marked it down 1 star) but kitschy, just what I enjoy in a local, non-chain restaurant. This place is never the same! I had a club sandwich there a couple months ago and it was the best one I've had in a long time I had another one three days ago and there was so much lettuce on it. I could've eaten a salad if I bother to take it home which I wish I would've because I was starving an hour after I ate there! My sandwich had like a head of lettuce on it so much onion it was overpowered even after I took it all off in one tiny little strip of bacon I basically had bread and lettuce. I knew there was bacon on there because it was so hard I could barely chew it disappointing to say the least because people are really nice always really clean but their consistency with the food just sucks especially for the price! I'm told even though we're locals we have to pay tourists prices! Which I really wouldn't mind if the food was good! Pretty decent breakfast when in Seligman, AZ. We had attempted to eat elsewhere in town, but trying to get away from the small crowds and tour buses, we we made our way down the road to Westside Lilo's. There were a few locals who eat there often which was a good sign. I had biscuits and gravy which were great. I also had a delicious mimosa (great OJ but light on the prosecco). On our way to the Grand Canyon from Las Vegas we stopped at Lilo's for lunch. The place was very welcoming and seated us outside as we requested. I ordered the tuna melt and my wife ordered the taco salad. Both were superb, very tasty and fresh. On the way back to Las Vegas we stopped there again for lunch. I knew I couldn't do better than the tuna melt so I ordered it again. My wife had the breakfast burrito thatt came with the most delicious breakfast potatoes. We told the staff how much we enjoyed their food and they insisted on having us taste their signature carrot cake, in fact they gifted us a large portion of it that we ate throughout the rest of the day, it was magnificent. First off the staff was amazing. Our food was served quick and hot. Jody was our waitress and after greeting us as we walked in the door she asked us if we'd like coffee. Business was bustling more than usual because the Roadkill Cafe was closed for the week but Westside Lilo's is a hidden gem. They make all of their desserts on premise. They have a case displaying the decadent desserts. We stopped when we first got in town and I shared a piece of lemon meringue pie with my husband. I'm not a big crust person but the crust on this pie was thin, light and flaky. On the way out of town we had breakfast. I had a Belgium waffle and scrambled eggs. My husband had the chorizo breakfast burrito with hash browns. The waffle was soft in the middle but crunchy on the outside. The chorizo burrito was so big my husband was only able to eat half. I think we waited 5 minutes to get our food. Jody was friendly and made sure we had refills on our drinks without asking us. The restaurant even has a gift shop with tshirts, stickers, cups, coasters and Route 66 toys. I highly recommend this restaurant. read more

The service is great! My husband had fish and chips, said was very good. Will definitely be back when LILO is here. She is the only one who makes the schnitzel, so had to pass on that. What a surprise on our last night on the road headed home. We were staying in town and wondered if this would be a mediocre tourist trap. It definite was not! Kitsch decor but perfect for the setting. Anne the server was excellent & was on it with everything. The food was fresh and well prepared. I had their southwestern burger made with their non-meat chipotle burger. Delish! Loved the pretzel bun & waffle fries. Several non meat options. My husband the meat eater had the open faced beef on Texas toast. Steamed veggies cooked al dente, not the mushy stuff we had elsewhere. He was happy with the mashed potatoes.
