We just happened to stop here on our journey across AZ. Go here! I had soup and salad and it was amazing. Highly recommend the homemade ranch and homemade turkey spaetzle soup. Dessert! I can't believe dessert like this even exists. This restaurant is located in a small-town touristy section along Route 66. We skipped lunch and went directly to dessert. The German Chocolate Cake and their oh-so popular Carrot Cake (pictured) were massively-cut slices of moist goodness. Each "slice" of cake was topped with a great deal of home-made icing (everything about their desserts is homemade). I am not a huge fan of lots of icing, but the cake itself was incredibly tasty, and I couldn't imagine a replication this good. Since you're on the road, a cup of coffee to top it off is a must. read more

"A-OK" pretty much sums it up. After all, there aren't too many choices if you're stuck eating lunch in Seligman. My cheeseburger was pretty decent for around $8. I've had better but I've also had wayyy worse. The fries that came with it were okay; they seemed hand-cut but were pretty starchy inside and not fluffy. Also not crispy enough but still fairly enjoyable. The bf got the southwest chicken sandwich which was ~$10 and that was also okay. Not a place I'd go out of the way for. It's a bit overpriced but when you're hungry, it's not bad. read more

On the way to see the Grand Canyon , my friends and I stopped by here for lunch. I wasn't expecting much, since we basically decided on an exit and pull in to the first place we see. However I really like the food and friendly service. We sat ourselves and had suggestions from our waitress on what to order. Overall, excellent comfort food that is homemade and fulfilling. I also like that the place has a small gift shop inside, outdoor seats and is right on route 66. Totally give this place a try if you happen to drive by. read more

After two nights of camping, we were craving beer and burgers! Thanks to fellow yelpers and good reviews, Westside Lilo's was our choice. The staff was very welcoming. They had a full bar selection and tv's which was awesome since it was Sunday! I had a "heathy" angus burger. The burger was huge and cooked as requested. My husband had a delicious French dip and my friend had their specialty German Brat. The brat was delicious, I highly recommend it. Overall, great experience. read more

This is hands down the best restaurant in Seligman. Come for breakfast!! Our waitress was absolutely incredible! She was from Chicago I believe and was uber friendly from the start. Advice: portions are huge!! Two of us split the chicken steak breakfast and were too full to move before our plate was even clean. Our group also loved the party melt, jalapeño omelet, and biscuits with gravy. The desserts are apparently wonderful as well, but we were too full to partake. Carrot cake is supposed to be the winner! The decor is also really eclectic with animal heads and lots of photos - very fun to look at. If in ever down Route 66 again, I will be sure to stop in again! read more

After a long day of driving and menial snacks on the road, we finally stopped at our motel for the night. I used Yelp to see what was good in town for dinner, and low behold Westside Lilo's was high on the list, and across the street from where we were staying. It is a nice café with plenty of seating inside and out, and also has a small gift shop since it is on Route 66. I ordered the chicken club on rye w/fries, and my bf had the western burger w/ fries. Everything was pretty dang tasty, especially for being out in the middle of no where. They also had me at the fries, fresh, thick cut potatoes none of that frozen lets throw it in the fryer crap. Mmmm... Potatoes!!! (Yes, I have a problem). Overall the food was great, the wait staff was nice and prompt. They also had an awesome pie selection, but we were too stuffed to even over indulge ourselves. Definitely worth the stop if you are hungry, and not wanting crappy fast food... The breakfast menu looked pretty awesome as well. read more

I give 4 stars, because my expectations are low when visiting these types of small towns. This place was recommended by the manager of the hotel we were staying at, Canyon Lodge, as a German/American diner. Of course, hence, I had to order the Bratwurst. In line with all of the other reviews, the portions here are ENORMOUS. Makes me never think twice again about why Americans are so overweight. All the plates are easily enough for 2, maybe 3 people. Service is good. They were able to split our check as many ways as we preferred. Beers/Wine/Drinks are cheap here, (comparable to LA). Credit cards accepted. And they have a small cute Route 66 touristy store with random paraphernalia. We wanted some carrot cake originally, but after eating a gigantic meal, we couldn't chow down a slice of carrot cake the size of a human head (slight exaggeration). Tip: Mention you're staying at Canyon Lodge and you get 10% off your bill :) read more

Stopped by LWS last week on a ride through Route 66. Hadn't been there in more than 16 years and it hadn't changed a bit. That's good and not do good... Servings are large and tasty --especially the burgers and steak fries--and prices are reasonable. But the place is dirty and there are literally HUNDREDS of flies. Flies ruin the dining experience. Too bad but I wouldn't recommend Lilo's any longer. Try the Roadkill Cafe across the street. Clean it up, Lilo! read more

I'm not sure what my favorite was in the restaurant... The smiles or the incredible food or a combination of both! Some of the friendliest people we met on our trip. I had the chicken sandwich with the Serano pepper. My husband had the roast beef French dip and he's quite the connoisseur of that sandwich. Both were outstanding! They appropriately serve ice tea in cups that look more like buckets... Never needed a refill. We had a two day stop in Seligman, AZ. Everyone recommended Westside Lilo's and there is good reason. We placed pickup orders. They were prepared quickly and the food was excellent. My wife got fish and said it was as good as she gets in New England. I got the southwest burger and it was great. Portions are plentiful. read more

Like most others, we popped in off Route 66 to rest our traveling souls and replenish our gurgling stomachs. What we got was an assortment of down-to-earth delicious German/American dishes. This homey cafe was decorated to the nines and their staff personable. The owner came from Germany so they've even been featured on German TV. Price was great given the large portion sizes and decisions to split dishes between diners. And to top it all off, dessert is a downright "must-have" here. The picks: - Jager Schnitzel: crisp yet succulent fried pork cutlet with well-seasoned sauce. Huge portions with a side of soup/salad + tatoes + veggie. - Chicken Fried Steak: um, it's delicious...gravy and all. Maybe there's a theme with fried food here, but oh-so-good. - Black Forest Cake: I don't know who makes this, but it is AMAZING and large. The five of us devoured it way too quickly. - Lilo's Homemade Carrot Cake: I'm not a fan of carrot cakes but given the reviews, it was a no-brainer...I had to try. While it's moist and not overtly sweet, we could have gone for a second black forest cake instead. The humble, small-town atmosphere combined with great homemade food made for a perfect pit stop. Should you find yourself on the historic Route 66 on your way to Flagstaff or Phoenix, AZ, this is definitely the place to stop on in. read more

Pleasant surprise! Came in because of the good Yelp reviews. We were famished after our 10 mile hike out of Havasupai. The service was excellent, fresh brewed iced tea was so refreshing. Every inch of our experience, from the exceptionally friendly service to the delicious burgers on pretzel buns to the GIANT CINNAMON ROLL to-go that was so huge it was delivered to us in a cake box. BEST breakfast I have ever had!! The carrot cake is to die for! Rachel the waitress is the best!! You may have to wait for your table due to the crowds but it is worth the wait. After hiking all over Utah and Arizona for 2 weeks we were looking for breakfast on the way home and a friend suggested Lilo's. The pancakes were light and fluffy and rate a 10 from this pancake freak. The egg platter was huge with a warm, soft home made biscuit. My friend had a burger that was juicy and delicious and the frinch fires were crisoy and not greasy, I'm from the Northeast and I have eaten in Diners 1,000 times but Lilo's blows them all away! It is located on old Rt. 66 with some really cool retro shops nearby so you can walk off your meal! It may be a bit out of the way but do not pass by this gem. read more
