It was tasty, but my husband and I thought it tasted better with mustard. It was good, but their pretzel dog won out over that. Next time I'm in the area, I'm going to revisit this restaurant. Best one we got was the Sour Belgian Monkey Strong Ale. It's 9% ABV and certainly strong. For food we went to The Otherdoor. It's about $11 for a few tacos. Also Maevery Public House is next to here. There seems to always be something fun going on: a concert, a science talk, a festival, etc. I do think the beers need a little work though. The variety and creativity is definitely there, but the hoppy beers tasted a little oxidized and some of the sour fruit beers were a little over-the-top (more like a smoothie than a beer) for me. I'm planning on having a party there in the near future and was looking for a catering package, it was nice to try the different items prior to the party that Edelweiss has to offer. I don't know what region this place is from, the sauerkraut and Blaukraut were not Bavarian, the Spätzle felt ready made and not home made. The Bratwurst was too fine for me, I'm thinking north German. The strudel was good tho. The service was fantastic! From host to server they took care of me and made sure I wanted for nothing, so I can't complain there. Decor wise this looks like what you'd imagine a German restaurant looking like in the US. Lots of banners advertising beer and German flags hanging on the walls with a collection of steins everywhere you look. Overall it's not "authentic" for me, but the food tasted good and the service was exceptional.
