Amazing pretzels--worth the stop! I'm visiting from San Francisco and had to try Wetzel's Pretzel after hearing great things--and it did not disappoint. The pretzels were perfectly baked: soft on the inside, lightly crisp on the outside, and full of flavor. You can really taste the quality and care that goes into making them. I had a very uncomfortable experience at this Wetzel's Pretzels due to an employee named Linda. While waiting in line, I clearly overheard her use the N-word slur in conversation. This language is completely unacceptable in any setting, especially in a customer-facing environment. I did not feel comfortable ordering after hearing this and left immediately. I hope management takes this seriously and addresses employee conduct, because this kind of behavior reflects very poorly on the company. read more

The workers never want to make the cheesy dog bits that are very popular and sell out quickly. They tell you to order on the app so that you are guaranteed to have them ready, but every time I have they are burnt. This is a popular spot but the service has consistently gone down. If they don't like making something then maybe the franchise owner should take it off the menu. read more

Wetzel's is the best for fast pretzels. Little kiosk when you enter the mall. The workers are usually friendly and efficient. You get your food and then find a communal spot amongst the many tables in the middle of the mall. It's very chill and laid back. We love to get the Sour Cream & Onion Pretzel Bites and their Lemonade. The Pretzels are soft, with a baked bottom. The lemonade is sweet and sour, usually done right. The reason it's a 3 star is because they didn't have the sour cream & onion anymore. Come on, that's the best flavor. These quick pretzel places have to bring that back! read more

Recently I decided to have a walk inside the Santa Maria Mall to see what's goin on with business being added to the venue. Down one of the Mall entrance corridors I saw the Wetzel's Pretzels Kiosk/Stand. The smell of "fresh" Pretzels permeated the air as I approached...the promise of good things to come. All Associates seemed to be working hard at their assigned tasks and the various Pretzel "goodies" looked fabulous in the hot display case. Today I selected a Pizza Pretzel (4/5 - toppings included Cheese, Pepperoni and Jalapeño's). I thought the Pizza Pretzel tasted delicious. It was warm, chewy and the aroma...FABULOUS! Perhaps this offering could have used a bit more slices of added Pepperoni in order to have pushed the rating higher, but ultimately...I was more than satisfied with the product. Since I have only been to one other Wetzel's Pretzels in Downtown Disney (LA) I can not speak as an aficionado to this type of food or whether or not Wetzel's Pretzels has gone up or down in quality of their offerings. Therefore, on this occasion, in this Yelper's opinion...Wetzel's Pretzels in Santa Maria truly earned this "definitely recommend" 4 Star review. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. There were 4 girls at the booth. The girls were distracted with each other. The girls taking the order got my order wrong and when I tried to correct the order she told she could not correct the error. I will never go back to this location. Really disappointed that the business has not corrected the problem considering so many people have complained. I've never had a bad thing to say on Yelp before. read more

I know it's the company and not store specific, but it's sad how hard Wetzels took a nose dive into being completely terrible. First, the sour cream and onion was the best flavor going and it was removed. Then either it's just this store or it's also discontinued- the almond crunch. Every time I asked for it they told me they're out. Now it's just the always stale tasting pizza, cinnamon, and regular. I've been back to this location in the mall roughly 5 times now as I was looking for lunch and I ended up just leaving each time. Until regrettably today, I decided to just try their simple pretzel and their new churro pretzel....... guys what the heck. It seriously tastes like something I made when I was 7 and going crazy with all the sweets I could gather in the kitchen. I'm obsessed with sweets but this was just gross. It's basically a slop of sugar and its all wet and gets soggy quickly from the chocolate and caramel drizzle. After having it, how did they think that would be appetizing? It's so gross to eat and just made me feel sick. It's really sad, this used to be my favorite place. Hopefully someone slaps some brain cells into the company because this menu has just dropped off hard. Also tried the horchata, the idea was nice but the flavor is way off. My daughter loves this place, and every time I go for her the wait is often 20+ minutes, I always feel like the staff is annoyed someone is bothering them. Literally have never seen a happy employee working (I still tip because I understand it's not an easy job) and go because I love my daughter. Finally, I have been set free. Today after the usual discomfort of the unfriendly staff it turned out the pretzel was half raw! Thankfully it disappointed my teen and she says she prefers the pretzilla frozen pretzels from Vons! I stopped here this past Sunday after going to see a movie with my family. I decided to wait until after our show to get a pretzel specifically from Wetzel's-because they are that good! It was busy during this time and there was a line. That is usually no problem of course, and I could tell there were three employees working. I ordered two regular pretzels with salt, and a lemonade. The cashier taking my order was younger then the others, who were preparing food I guess. She first could asked me to repeat what flavor lemonade I wanted(which shows poor listening skills); but that didn't even bother me until later. I left to walk to my car and realized the pretzels were Not Salted! They were also not heated up enough-which they were the last time I ordered one from there. Great place to snack in while at the mall, the pretzels are definitely top notch! It's a pretty easy place to find near the food court, if you walk to the center of the mall its right there basically. My favorite snack to get is the Wetzel Bits with the Almond Crunch flavoring and icing dipping sauce. It feeds up to 2-3 people, at low price of around 4-5$ its definitely worth the value. read more

Worst customer service I've ever experienced. For a person that works in the food industry I'm very understanding of when people make mistakes and if there's things we can't control but I went with my little sister and mom today ordering a special pretzel and sadly got the wrong one and asked the cashier if we can get our correct pretzel and she said it'd be another 25 minutes. We were willing to wait and decided to do shopping for the meantime. When we came back they said they had no recollection of that happening and didn't have our pretzels ready. I don't eat meat which the pretzel they gave us had and I'm pregnant so of course I got a little agitated. So the cashier puts the manager on the phone and he is completely rude to my mom, which is NOT ok. He's a grown man acting like a 5 year old who can't even comprehend or try to understand if there was any miscommunication.
