Went to the mall and couldn't pass up on a pretzel from here. Tried the jalapeño pepperoni pretzel and absolutely enjoyed it! It's a huge pretzel that is super soft. Mmmmm. I hadn't had a pretzel from this place in years, but just one bite and fully enjoyed it as much as when I was a teen. I definitely need to make this a regular stop when coming into Santa Rosa. The staff was great. Trying to get everyone's orders without much wait time. The crew in The back were bagging up all the fresh pretzels as fast as they could. Felt humiliated but a rude kid that works there. my son and they had a table of drinks, samples and pretzel samples in front of the entrance. I usually see them and there's people that passed out and I've got an a drink sample in a bit sample from the people that work there have never had an issue this time my son grabbed a drink and I grabbed a sample drink. My son grabbed a pretzel sample and the kid that walked up said ONLY ONE BRO!! Which sounds so disrespectful and rude. There are other ways to say things. My son said oh sorry I can only have one, and he said yes there's a sign, which when I looked down there was a sign laying down which nobody's gonna see it. Granted it was in Spanish,first of all, we don't read Spanish and second of all if there's multiple employees there is at least seven employees They weren't busy. Somebody should've been handed them out. My son proceeded to ask how do I just throw it away and he said no pointed to the boy and told him to put it back granted, my son is not a child. He is an adult that was shopping with me. I'm surprised my son handled it so well because I was livid. That is unsanitary and I hope that they don't do that all the time. Nobody knows where it peoples hands have been. He could've worded it differently or said yeah, just for future not be rude and disrespectful and then turn around and say something to his fellow employees and laugh. I have frequent tend Wetzel since I do work in the mall since they opened many many years ago and I've never been treated so poorly. These are the people they hire. This is sad assuming that everybody speaks different languages. It should not be in one language I do know Annie the manager and Alex, the owner I have dealt with for years. If This is the type of treatment they're going to give and the type of people they hire then I choose not to go there again. I would give a zero for review if it allowed me too. read more

I'm from Alaska and we dont have a wetzel's pretzels there. We do have an auntie Anne's which I compared it to. The pretzel was better, a little squishy raw on the inside but only in one spot. The cheese prepackaged isn't as good but it was ok. The pretzel tasted better overall. The girl almost forgot my cheese but it made it in there. read more

The young male at the register was so patient and was explaining everything good to me and my family, and he wasn't being grumpy like the other one, he gave my the Food the way i wanted it. The two young boys working the register should not be in customer service. I work in the mall, and wanted a pretzel for my break. As I told them what it was I wanted, the smirking and laughing began. As he rung me out, the other boy began to whisper to into his ear, and they both were holding back laughter and were completely rude the entire time. I wanted to use my mall employee discount which I guess was also funny? I go here a lot and never ask for a receipt but they were too busy laughing at me & handed me one anyways. As he's grabbing my pretzel they're still smirking and laughing, whispering to each other and side eyeing one another. This interaction put such a bad taste in my mouth and I will not be returning, even as a mall employee. Ive never had this issue with the women who work here. Ive worked in customer service based jobs for a little less than a decade & have never had such an issue with ordering a pretzel?? Usually love this place but lately when I go it seems they are rationing their salt and do not salt their bites. I have to check when getting them and ask them for more salt and I am typically greeted with a sigh of frustration for asking to actually taste salt on my pretzel bites. read more

I don't know why I keep coming back here. The pretzel bits are good. I just wish that when I ask for extra salt on them I get extra salt. Every time I go I ask for extra salt and I don't think I would have a problem if I found all the salt on the bottom of the bag but this last time there was barely any salt, maybe at most four grains of salt, on the pretzels and zero in the bottom of the bag. This might be the last time I stop here. My kids will be sad because this is what they look forward to when we go to the mall. Guess we will go to Applebee's for our weekly pretzels. read more

If you are lucky enough to be stuck within the confines of the Santa Rosa Plaza for enough time, you may find yourself needing a refuel. Let me tell you-- your choices here are limited! The food court doesn't have much more than the usual Hot Dog on a Stick and Burger King. When it was around, I used to hit Fresh Choice here sometimes, but it's now closed. Since the food court choices are kind of a bore, and a little too pricey for what they offer, I have found the Wetzel's Pretzel. It's warm, buttery, bready goodness with crunchy salt. The first time I had one my heart was literally racing from all the salt I had eaten. Alas, the salt is what gives the pretzel its addicting quality. The melted butter doesn't hurt either. These things simply can't be good for you...but they do taste like buttered heaven! It's also a quick and cheap! read more

After having a terrible experience with one of the employees at Wetzel pretzel, the owner had contacted me to apologize. I was so pleased to hear that he had taken action and changed the way they deal with customers. This made me incredibly happy. He also is giving me free pretzels! I can't wait to go back and give Wetzel pretzel another try. Just for his act of kindness and excellent response to my review I have changed my rating. I work nearby and get pretzel bites here often. I am pretty sure I won't be going back after the last few times I am being given obviously day old (or more) pretzels and pretzel bites. They are not soft but a bit hard and chewy. The other day, I got two orders of pretzel bites. For both me and my daughter, the pretzel bites at the top of our bags were warm, soft and fresh. For both, the pretzels toward the bottom of the bag were old, hard and obviously not fresh. The owner either knows this and wants to cut costs, or the owner needs to know. I get a pretzel 3-4 times a week. But I think the old icky one I'm trying to eat right now is my last from this establishment. read more
