The female range officer was in the military/army and kept interrupting my wife and son while shooting. A few times ok- but kinda leave us alone unless we are performing a range infraction of some sort: which we weren't. She brought up how to shoot again, and finally my wife said, "we're all good, I've been coached by my husband... he was in the 82nd Airborne Division...." At that point, she basically left us alone for the most part. I let her gabble because I was focusing on my son and wife... (sigh/ignore). So that being said, minus the hovering. (Please leave us a lone- I get the reason why, but we were mindful and range safe..) please let us enjoy our shooting.., we paid enough and having "shooting classes" was again, not asked for... The ranges are clean. Easy parking access, and the facility overall is nice, and does the job. The pro shop is nice, and the guys inside were very cordial.. I'd come back again, however, I don't need a full block of instructions multiple times while reloading.... We'll come to you and ask for help if need be ... maybe some pointers, and we paid $110 for 3 people (whole day) so we can get down to business and enjoy your outdoor facility. Time is limited, lots of uniformed down time in between live fire/ range hot times. Which is understandable.. but again, don't be giving us shooters blocks of instruction during range hot times. We've been to rifle ranges and fired over 30 times... we...get..it. So please, correct us when we do something wrong. Other than that, let us three be in our happy place...

We were waited on by our friendly bartender. We had the great pheasant poppers and bacon wrapped scallops for appetizers and couldn't resist having the special; red snapper with spicy rice and carrots. The fish was tender and mild, very tasty. The bar and restaurant have a really cool atmosphere with a hunt club lodge feel to it. Our group had just finished a round of Sporting Clays and wanted to grab some lunch. The staff is amazingly friendly and prompt. We were seated as soon as we walked in and had menus and water immediately after we sat down. We ordered a couple of appetizers for the table to start. The pheasant poppers were very tasty with a large piece of pheasant in the popper and wrapped with bacon. The fried cheese curds are always an easy choice but what made these so good was that they were no dripping with oil and the cheese had great flavor. Our pizza was a thin crust with lots of mozzarella and pepperoni but none of the oil that sits on the top and you need to blot with a paper towel. I had the pulled pork with a side salad that was big enough to be a regular sized salad. The pork had a great vinegary flavor and a tangy bbq sauce drizzled on the top and sat on a grilled buttered pretzel bun which was delicious! My buddy said his gyro was very good as well and the potato chips added a nice crunch.

However, my experience at the range was great, and moreover, I was pleasantly surprised at how every employee I interacted with was kind, helpful, professional, and made me feel welcomed. I came back a couple weeks later with my colleague, and after reviewing the benefits of membership, I decided to become a member. I have since taken two classes, and I have been so impressed with the classroom and live fire instruction. John Dennert instructed my handgun 101 class, and he is excellent. The emphasis on safety was greatly appreciated and every instructor has been so kind and helpful. I noticed a Fletcher employee in the second class I took, and apparently that is common - truly a testament of the quality of the classes when the employees take them as well. I hope to take several more classes. When sending emails regarding questions I have, the owner, Megan, has often responded herself, and has gone above and beyond to be of assistance. I've also interacted with so many on the Fletcher team from the range to the store that have left a positive impression on me (shout out to Tracey, Max, Ben, and many more - I wish I remembered all their names). The culture of excellence at Fletcher clearly flows from the top down. I'm glad to support this business - you should absolutely stop in and see what they have to offer.

The owner's response was both unapologetic, courteous and inviting! People who own successful businesses in this tough, competitive environment only succeed because they understand the nature of our economic marketplace and explaining the tough choices business owners must make, and the reasonable decisions that support their bottom lines. The willingness to take the time to explain tough choices and business decisions they must make every day is certainly an appreciated effort!

This was the experience of myself and my brother on 9/1/24. First, as a nonmember you need a card to access the course (not explained to me). The card machine was not working so I told them that I would shoot first and then pick up the card. Myself not being experience with this clubs procedures I did know and WAS NOT TOLD, that without the card I couldn't shoot. So I went all the way out to start shooting and had to come back in to get my card so I could actually shoot. Unfortunately the card machine took another 10 minutes to start working. Second, they give you no instructions on how to use their controls. We did figure them mostly out but on the first station one of the workers had forgotten to switch on one of the machines, so we had wasted 10 of our allotted "birds" trying to figure this out. You are given a waste of 5 birds per person for machine malfunction , broken birds, etc. So with 2 people shooting. we had already used up our allotment. We had many other broken birds in the course, so by the last station we were not allowed to shoot anymore to finish. The controls also did not work as they were intended to all the time, but would still charge you for the bird each time. By this time we were so beyond dealing with such a poorly run facility that instead of having this remedied we walked out and NEVER plan on coming back! Also, their staff needs much better training!

The best managed club in the area is Winchester in Franksville, WI. Open six days a week in summer. Great targets. An Olympic trap field. Trap. Skeet. Five Stand. Sporting Clays. Well trained and friendly trap help. Shells available at competitive prices. It's also the cheapest by hundreds of dollars ($65 a year) and you don't need a sponsor or do any "work." I call this a "no brainer."

Those guns aren't your bulky biceps they are actual rifles that you are shooting. I am not a big…read moregun person but I really enjoyed this shooting event. It can be a fun team building event even for folks who have never shot before. It is a little daunting when you walk in and see people all decked out in camo and blaze orange. These people came to shoot because they have their own ear protection and glasses. Don't be intimidated because they train everyone on gun safety. We did 8 stations with a total of 50 shots. I liked this better than more stations and less shots. The reason is that you get better every time you shoot at the same targets. It was a little windy so it made it more challenging. I shared a 20 gauge with someone on my team that didn't have as much kick. Also, it was her gun so we didn't have to pump action for the second shot which made it much easier than the 12 gauge guns you can rent. If you know someone with a rifle I highly recommend that you borrow their gun to make this easier. The only disappointment was one of the stations with the rabbit kept breaking down. It did slow down the course and unfortunately they couldn't fix it for my shots. I really wanted to hit that rascally wabbit! It's not that expensive either: $19 to shoot, $15 for ammo, $20 to rent a gun (typically you share). I am going to get a group of ladies to give this a "shot". PS - Did I mention that after you can buy a cocktail and some quick vittles?
