Well, I'm finally back to my brewery tour. And of course I love the dark beers. Today I had a Porter and my husband had an imperial stout. My porter was delicious and nuanced. We were on our way back from Narragansett & hubby wanted to stop at Tower Hill Brewing. We were first introduced through the RI Food Fights #BigLeBREWski earlier this spring. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The taproom is cozy yet spacious featuring TVs, giant Jenga, cornhole, table seating as well as sofas.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] THB is known for their IPAs & sours - neither of which are our favorite beer varietals. On this occasion, we enjoyed their pilsner & porter. Another time, we tried the coconut & pineapple hard seltzer (passionfruit hard seltzer was also delicious) & Kölsch Hearted. One of the beers that we were surprised about was the Dunkel George Lager, a dark German-style lager. It looked really dark but was imminently drinkable! We loved sitting at the bar & talking with the beer gal in between customers. She was very knowledgeable & engaging! You can order delivery from a variety of South County Commons restaurants or bring food from your favorite restaurant (shout out to Jayd Bun!). read more

I had a fantastic first visit to Tower Hill Brewing! I was in the area picking up Jayd Bun for lunch, and since it's a takeout-only spot pretty far from home, I needed to decide which local brewery or distillery to check out nearby. They all encourage you to bring or order food, so it was a bit of a tough choice, but [[HIGHLIGHT]]Tower Hill Brewing, located at South County Commons, had plenty of parking and lots of seating, making it a great pick.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If I hadn't already grabbed food, I could've ordered from local spots like Applebee's, a Thai restaurant, or others that deliver right to the brewery. They have a great selection of beers--everything from English Pale Ales to IPAs, Stouts, Dunkels, and even Sours. You can either get a flight or a full pour. Prices vary by beer: 5 oz pours were around $3-$4, 12 oz pours were $7-$8, and 16 oz pours went for $8-$9. Menus were available on most of the tables, and there were clear signs near the bar for ordering. I went with the "Good Knows Beans," a 5% ABV coffee stout, and it was absolutely delicious! This is the perfect spot to come and grab a quick drink before heading next door to the cinema or one of the many amazing small restaurants in the South County Commons area. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I love how friendly and warm the atmosphere was.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]You simply belly up to the bar (plenty of seats in the roomy interior), and take your pick from one of the several delicious craft creations on tap.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] While they do not have a food menu, they welcome guests to bring takeout from the aforementioned nearby establishments, and we saw plenty of pizza boxes and Thai trays at neighboring tables. While we didn't have enough time to take advantage of this great added benefit, we certainly will next time! The beer was decent, and in the context of a new establishment, actually pretty good. I had the peach sour (Edith) and found it a solid sour beer. We just went for the first time, they opened in March. Their location is great, nestled in South County Commons. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is a perfect hangout with friends. They have several large TVs, cornhole, and various other board games. They also have a lounge area with a sofa and armchairs. There's a mixture of high top and low top tables.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They don't serve food, will bring food to you, so that's very convenient. They had a large variety of beers on tap. My first visit to Rhode Island's newest brewery, so naturally I started with a flight. The red ipa caught me by surprise in the best way. I enjoyed it immensely. Other beers were good overall. Lots of tables both low and high, though if you're going low just know sharing is caring as the low tops accommodate multiple groups per table. Service was friendly and efficient, and the menu was easy to read. Something to note regarding the space itself is that it is quite cavernous and open, and as a result it is extremely loud! Like VERY loud. No food on site but they encourage BYOF and there are plenty of options in the center. read more

I cannot say enough about Tower Hill Brewing. We kicked off our daughter's wedding weekend with a welcome party at THB and it could not have been better. The staff is amazing, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful. Christy the manager, Meg, Matt and the rest of the staff put the welcome in welcome party. Delicious food was catered by nearby Neapolis. Alessia and Adamo went above and beyond with scrumptious food and the two organizations worked together seamlessly. It's time that the South County Commons best kept secret is out to the public! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Tower Hill brewery is a great space to have a drink, or utilize the spacious taproom for any event.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The owners are awesome and their general manager can make the space work for any occasion. It's on the way to the beach and local attractions, closest brewery to URI. I recommend the sour, it's by far the best I've had in a long time. 10/10 would go again! read more

Great new brewery in South County. Amazing array of beer styles. We first got a flight which included South of the Tower(pale ale), Mosaic Veil (hazy pale ale) and the Coffee Infused Stout brewed with coffee beans from a local coffee roaster. Each was outstanding, but I went right for the 16oz Mosaic as a follow up. They don't serve food, but have QR codes on the tables which connects you to all the restaurants in South County Commons, all right around the brewery. We ordered wings from Neapolis, which is literally 100 feet from the back door of the brewery. within a few minutes, the wings arrived at our table, exactly like if we were in a restaurant itself. Amazing amazing wings. We got the dry rub and it was out of this world. We highly recommend visiting this new and fun brewery. Also, the staff was fantastic. Brianna was so friendly and Christy helped us with the beer styles. I can't wait to go back! read more

Exciting new location in South Kingstown. The IPAs were really good and explained great by the staff. We had a Hoppy Blonde and a Rise and Shine. The outside beer garden was a lot of fun playing cornhole and enjoying the rays. We had our family birthday party there for my uncles 82nd and all ages attended and had a great time The table set up perfectly for that and we brought in our own food and cake. Also I noticed comments here about it being loud in there but it wasn't loud at all. Just a fun vibe. read more
