Located inside Haleiwa Store Lots. We were in the area to try Matsumoto Shave Ice and came across Whaler's General Store. The store is neat and organized. Employees are friendly and helpful. Prices are high since this store is a bit touristy. They offer lots of Hawaiian gifts and souvenirs, snacks, sunscreen, cute gifts for the office, toys, food and drinks, pet treats, soaps, lotions, etc. It's a nice shop to check out if you are in the area.

My girlfriend and I hadn't had a drink all day. When we went to Whaler's General Store, we decided to grab a few bottles. We got here on Monday, March 4th around 3:30pm. We just bought two small Jameson Irish Whiskey bottles at $3.99 each. Apparently they were on sale, so originally priced at $5.99 each. I believe we also got a can of some kind girly sparkling wine, but I can't recall what it was. The cashier was friendly and we were out of here relatively fast. Convenient if you need something and are in the area. Their section of little airplane liquor bottkes isn't too bad.

Did ya folks know that the Whaler's General Store is all over da 808???? Yes gang, they have stores all over the Hawaiian islands, as you can find them on the islands of Oahu, Maui, Kauai, & even the Big Island..........see this link - http://www.shopsofhawaii.com/store-list If you ever get a chance to stop by a Whaler's General Store, I must say it's a great place to pick up a last minute souvenir, or quick grocery item. I was visiting Haleiwa town today, and basically wandering into the Whaler's General Store located at the Haleiwa Store Lots, as I saw this very cool Snoopy t-shirt..........what was so catchy about this t-shirt? Well, the design clearly promotes Hawaii, as you will see Snoopy making the "Shaka Sign"! Where else would you find something like this????? Lol! Yeah, maybe this store is a little of a tourist trap........but like I said before, it's a great little store to visit for a last minute souvenir! If your hot, and need a cold drink, they got lots of different types of drinks here. Hungry? I saw they sold poke, & mochi ice cream here......... If you're looking to do a little shopping, they sell clothing, hats/caps, Hawaii themed photo frame, yummy snacks, coffee, jewelry trinkets, postcards, soaps & spay scents.......I'm sure I missed some other items that they sell here, as they sell so many different types of items! Take a look for yourself gang! Worth your time to stop by and take a look at the Whaler's General Store, as they have a little of everything here!

After indulging in some tasty shaved ice we browsed around this general store. If you're looking for a cute or touristy gift this is your place. They have food, clothing, and trinkets just to name a few items. If you like Snoopy merchandise they had a lot of adorable items for sale. Service was very friendly and helpful. Oh and for all you North Shore whalers that go to Whaler's General Store, just a note. I didn't see too many harpoons or bottles for storing ambergris here, but I'm sure they were in the next aisle over from where I was shopping. Don't worry, unless your name is Ahab you'll find your White Whale in no time!

My son took me to an area called the North Shore to shop for souvenirs and this was probably the third store I went into. On the first visit in, i didn't buy anything but ultimately ended up back in the store after all the other shops and bought the biggest bulk of my souvenirs from this location. Its a very handy store, it has souvenirs but also has fresh fruit and cold drinks. The prices were reasonable, compared to some of the other shops. i found a hat for $13 and some of the other shops were selling the upwards of $30. I also found a small container of Sea Salts of Hawaii "Maui Onion" flavor. I enjoy cooking and its always a treat to find seasoning blends that are flavorful and produced in the area where you purchase them. A 3.5 oz container was $7 and looking at it though the see through top, I can tell its going to be a flavorful seasoning blend on many types of food They have some really cute products. Don't pass this gem of a store by. Very friendly check out clerk

This store is located in the Haleiwa Store Lots. There's parking in the back and I am always so lucky to find one, even on a Saturday! The store offers freshfruits, cold beverages, little snacks, souvenirs, and local artist appeal/goods. They are reasonably priced and have a wide variety of things to choose from.

No more poke, no more hot food bar, no more stars :( I'm so disappointed that they took out what I loved about this place. There was no better deal than 1/2 price poke after 5pm, a couple of bottles of a local brew, and a north shore sunset. Now they are just another tourist shop with plenty of cute Hawaiiana stuff, but did I mention? No more poke!

When in the north shore visit this place if you need nail clippers lol! I actually came here for poke not Pokemon. They have several flavors to try. They have anything and everything. I also picked up a few postcards that were really cheap!

Don't be afraid to walk through the general store's door... because you're thinking it's just a tourist souvenir shop. There's a lot of cute things in there too! I got the cutest hydro flask from there!

They did a great job on the construction of Whalers and the rest of the new shops in the Courtyard by Matsumoto's. The name and location screams authentic, genuine Hawaii but the products reflect more of an ABC store. There is some fresh fruit, veggies and other grocery items but it's not exactly as historic as the name would lead you to believe based on the reputation Whaler's Village has on Kauai. In addition to food they have beach stuff, camping gear and other random items you might find at a general store. It should do really well and they offer some convenience store items that fill a need from what it looked like. If you're walking the town, shopping at all the different places through Haleiwa then this store will be a great spot to grab some snacks, drinks and even lunch.

Still think of our time spent in Hale'iwa everyday! Tonight we were reminiscing about our bike rides to the fruit stand/ general store to get a bottle of red wine harvested and bottled in Maui and of course their yummy mochi! They have the best coconut water there too Called Wailoa... Loved popping in there to grab little snacks or souvenirs to bring home. Looking forward to the day we get to go back!

Mac nuts on sale. Niceeeee

Same with the mochi ice cream flavors--especially coconut, chocolate mint, and pistachio.

The place that we love to shop for all necessities is here at Long's, which is now owned by CVS hence the biz name here on Yelp but here in Hawai'i it will always be known as Long's. A place to stock up on the various wants and needs of our daily needs are found here through the weekly Sunday ads keeping it cost friendly for generations along with shopping for gifts and celebrations are found here and being miles away from town I'm sure is the place for many locals shop. Parking here is amazing in comparison from the general Haleiwa location is never gonna be a problem lots of free parking regardless the size of your car and though the roof seemed to be suffering from the recently downpour of rain hoping it all can get fixed so that we can continue to appreciate the staff and what it has to offer this community. It's rather convenient but a little more expensive due to the touristy area. It's my go to for prescriptions, vaccinations and other health care options. The entire staff here is friendly and they work so hard keeping the lines moving. They've added the new self checkouts but many aren't ready for that yet. So you still see the long lines. I love the self check out. If you're headed to the beach and need supplies and drinks, stop by your local CVS in Haleiwa.

When it gets busy, cars back up onto Kamehameha Highway. When they get a gasoline delivery it's a total clusterf*ck. Oh, and there was a young guy, like in his 20's, on a bicycle in the parking lot with a sign offering to sell one of his kidneys. It's not like you get a chance to buy a kidney every day, right? As I waited in line to pay for a bag of ice I wondered if there was any value in having a third kidney. I concluded it would just make me have to get up and pee even more frequently at night, so I decided to pass on the opportunity.
