Italian hoagie on fresh baked bun! Incredible!
    Karel H.

It's just a very small storefront among others. They have no fluff or thrills just homey mismatched tables and chairs in a very small dining area but all reminiscent of a Sunday afternoon at grandmas where you knew something extra special was cooking up back in the kitchen and your mouth watered with anticipation. The food here is so on point! The service is even better if that's possible! This sweet crew takes very obvious pride and pleasure in what they do and it shows brilliantly! Freshly baked breads and delicious fresh ingredients and meats that create works of art for the stomach! But save room for the fresh baked desserts! Out of this world delicious! The best chicken salad around and the subs are so fresh and flavorful! I can't decide which is better, the kind and attentive folks that work here or the food! But one thing is for sure, you'll feel blessed by both! Can't wait to return! PS they use to provide a Saturday breakfast buffet but have stopped since covid because not enough people have returned for it to make it cost effective. I can't even get my head around this! You have no idea what you're missing! Hope the buffet returns! We will be there for it every Saturday we are able!

I'm trying to tell you...this is the best country breakfast I have EVER....EVER had. I'm in love!! The home kitchen at you grandma's house concept is brilliant. The people are sweet and loving. I had the bacon, grits, pancakes apples, potatoes, corned beef hash, sweet potatoes and biscuits were amazing. The APPLES omg!!! I cant tell you how wonderful. I had amazing pancakes ...honestly everything was wonderful. You have to stop by and get the baked goods. This is must visit restaurant!!

    Bear claw

Heavenly donuts and the best bear claws you've ever tasted - apples, cinnamon, icing in a divine medley. Friendly staff who make you feel like family makes What a Blessing worth the drive.

America's work ethic is alive and well in Amherst. You just walk in and they treat you as if you've been there every week of your whole life. You don't leave empty-handed. Your heart and your appetite for life (not to mention breakfast) are completely satisfied! We will be finding our way back to this special spot anytime we are near this area! Totally worth taking this Saturday adventure. The cream puff alone was worth the drive. The Rose family and staff are the reason we will return.

    Cream puff

We stopped by after hours to look in the window and the owners opened up for us to get some donuts. We ended up with donuts and a creme puff the size of a child's head! At home, we cut it up four ways and it was sooooo good. The filling was divine! We all got full off of that one pastry! The owners were very nice and we were very blessed to have met them.

Great and simple food, with very loving and outgoing people. Feels like grandmas house! Also if you love Jesus, they do too

I've had their sandwiches at work functions and they're top notch. Their donuts are really good too.

Reunion has been a breath of fresh air - really good espresso drinks, pastries, and breads. To be 100% honest, Crucible's coffee is better, but their pastry selection is minuscule and they can feel a bit stuffy. Reunion's pastries are good, though I wish they had more French-inspired things like pain au chocolat, croissants, or even soft cinnamon rolls, but I feel they excel more at the breads side of baking. I got a mini sourdough loaf once and it was excellent! Service is always friendly and happy, and the shop itself is cute, but there isn't much space inside. I'm all for tables outside, but there's not much real estate there either, especially on a busy morning. I think a small adjustment to flow could make it easily sit a couple cafe tables inside without it feeling so crowded. I just miss the days of being able to hang out and have good coffee and snacks while doing some work on a laptop. Seems like most businesses would rather have you out the door instead. I have high standards for bakeries and cafes, and Reunion meets most of them. They're now my favorite place to go in the mornings in Staunton... if they're open. I would go there much more often if I could actually eat my breakfast there instead of having to get back in my car or sit in the blistering summer heat.

My 6yo daughter had the waffles, I got the twoseez which was basically toast, scrambled eggs and bacon (which said daughter took), pre-teen son had a bagel sandwich, and wife had an omelette. My wife's omelette was extremely flavorful. What really made it wonderful was the owner's kindness and honesty. Knowing we were tourists asked us what we planned on doing and when mentioning the near by safari park, he said "oh don't play to feed the animals" which was exactly what we needed our kids to hear because two week prior the kids had a field trip to a petting zoo and my daughters class including her all got sick and I didn't want a repeat of that on our vacation... so thank you dude. But also he gave some insider info on where else to go around and that was also appreciated.

Food was delicious. I had the vegetable panini, which was delicious and flavorful, and the bread was amazingly good! The other one had a gyro, which he only wished had been bigger (not that it was small.) The baked goods looked fantastic, but we didn't try any. Definitely recommend if you're looking for soup, sammies or sweets.
