July 2024 - Excellent spot. More to come. Jan 2025 - @horsmanbbq on Instagram....this will be the 3rd smoke off Sunday and we enjoyed the 1st 2 back in the Fall.

So good, we wanted our own beef stew

I'm gonna get right to the point ... I guess they don't always have the same food on the menu so we scored when they were serving beef stew. It looked like Dinty Moore but tastes a million times better. We called the following week to see if there were more but no luck. We also ordered buffalo wings and they do have mouth watering wings. One order wasn't enough so I had to get seconds. Surprisingly, their fried cauliflower was scrumptious! Expensive, ($9) for a handful of bites but scrumptious! Can't wait to go back and have some more of everything !

    Having a great time!

Best bar in the universe! Staff is very accommodating. Best service. Best drinks. 12/10 would recommend!!!

    A busy Friday night.

There is not a bad thing to say about this place. I've been coming here for about 6 months, but a new Yelper. The beer selection is always changing with quality crafts and the cocktails are top notch. The crowd is always friendly and fun, and in the warm months the patio is a great time. This is the premier spot in the Southeastern part of Providence.

    Pulled pork tostones
    R. R.

My best friend has been wanting to come here. She knows the owners and has heard great things about the food. When I brought it up to the hubby, he said he's been wanting to go too. So naturally, the hubby and I end up here on a random Tuesday because we were in the area. The owner was very friendly. She was excited to have us and seemed very cheerful. She told us a bit about her background and the background of the food. A lot of the dishes are influenced by West Indian and/or Latin food. We got an ordered of the Asian chili wings, bacon and cheese fries and the pulled pork tostones. Absolute heaven! The wings were perfectly fried and the perfect size. The sauce was very good, although not made in house. We will try the in house flavors another day. The fries were also perfect. I usually stay away from "loaded" fries but these were different. They weren't overly done. Just enough cheese and bacon. Fries were perfectly crisped as well. Now, the reason a lot of people come here...: the pulled pork tostones. The owner told us we HAD to have these, and she was right. The sauce that comes with it is sooo good. It almost tastes like mayo/ketchup, but has a spice to it. The pulled like is very flavorful and tostones are crispy. We also tasted the homemade hot sauce, which has just the right amount of spice. We will definitely return for the ambience, music, service and food, and we are sure our 4 star review will hit 5 upon our next visit.

The staff are friendly and space is clean. Only couple reasons why they're 4 stars instead of 5 - 1) the food takes a while since it's made fresh to order. when e we went the other day, we were only one of free tables for an early lunch & had to wait 25+ mins for our popcorn chicken bowls; 2) there's only 1 small restroom. LOVED THE MOCKTAIL menu & taste. I got the basil mule. The katsu was delicious and fried well. I also liked the seasoning on the fries. The ambience: The bar area can be loud and boisterous so you have to be in the mood for that vibe. That being said, it's fun and welcoming with great service. The food and drinks: Their specialty cocktails are strong, taste good and are affordably priced. I had a cherry one (can't remember the name) but it was flavorful and not too sweet. They also have a large selection of beers both on tap and in cans. The shrimp Poboy is absolutely huge and stuffed with well seasoned fried shrimp and the accompanying sweet potato fries were crispy and delicious. We ordered a greek salad to go and it was a generous portion covered with kalamata olives, feta cheese and picked vegetables. My only tip would be to have them put toppings on the side next time to keep the lettuce crispy. Otherwise a very satisfying salad! And you made a great life choice. Walk into Tomaselli's and you know what the building used to be. Walls covered in decades of family photos, weddings, graduations, communion parties. Gaming chairs at the bar. Banquet tables with black tablecloths. Hardwood floors. Multiple TVs playing whatever game is on. Stackable chairs. This was the Rosario Society, an Italian-American social club. Tomaselli's moved in here in 2010 and kept the bones intact. I ordered a small pizza as an appetizer. My friends got wings as a meal. Lots of wings. The pizza came out on a black pan. Square. Thick crust, about an inch and a half tall on the edges. Pepperoni cups scattered on top with fresh parsley. I picked up a slice and it crunched, then the interior had great chew to it. That texture held through to the center. Sauce with real body, plenty of it, more savory than sweet. The cheese pulled hard, but let the pepperoni do most of the flavor work. The slices never sagged, never folded. This isn't Detroit style or grandma style. It's thicker crust Italian pizza without needing to fit into someone else's category. The wings arrived and the table went quiet. Tomaselli's offers twenty-six wing flavors. Not variations on buffalo sauce. Twenty-six actually different things. Bouryaki, a bourbon-teriyaki. Pink Vodka. French Toast wings. Pepperoni Pizza wings with chopped pepperoni, pizza sauce, and mozzarella on chicken. Antipasto wings with Italian cold cuts and banana peppers. Chicken Parmigiana wings with marinara. Our friend Jim, a legit foodie who has traveled the world, tried the antipasto wing and laughed out loud for a full minute. We couldn't tell if that meant good or bad until he finally said, "This is f-ing awesome." The consensus from our crew, who've been scouring the state looking for the best wings: these are the best wings we've had in Rhode Island. Half-price on Wednesdays for dine-in, by the way. Just saying. The chicken parmigiana arrived next and I understood why they keep aluminum catering pans behind the counter. A butterflied chicken breast the size of a pterodactyl, covered in marinara and melted mozzarella. Pasta on the side. A bowl of chicken soup. I ate until I couldn't eat anymore. Two large pieces of that chucken breast still sat on my plate, mocking me. Twenty-four dollars for the parm. Three meals from that one plate. Quite a bargain. Silver Lake was settled by Italian immigrants in the early 1900s, most from Southern Italy. They built St. Bartholomew's Church in 1907. They formed societies like Rosario where families gathered and celebrated life events together. The building remembers that history. So does the food. Places like this don't make sense anymore. The portions are absurd. The chicken parm needs an aluminum catering pan to get it home. But walk into that old social club building at the dead-end of Rosario Drive, sit down at one of those banquet tables, and you'll understand what Tomaselli's is doing. They're feeding you the way Silver Lake used to feed its own. The way famiglia feeds famiglia. Mangia.

Wow. Just wow. I think I've found the very best wings in Rhode Island…read more I came here for a solo dinner tonight with a coupon from my RI Food Fights Lord of the Wings coupon. Tomaselli's took over an old catering hall, and I was concerned before I came that I would be one person at a giant table. But then I saw a picture of the bar surrounded with leather padded deal chairs and I knew I needed to sit at that bar asap. The building is set back from the road and the parking lot is of a decent size, if a bit tight at some of the turns. Walking in, you definitely get the sense it's a hall but if you're solo just head left and the bar is right there waiting for you The bartender was a friendly guy, I never got his name. He took great care of me, checked in regularly. They have an incredible list of wing sauces, and I chose the pepper relish parm wings, which felt so freaking Italian I couldn't pass it up. I also got a small cheese, pepperoni and black olive pizza. Finally, a sangria to sip while I dined. The wings....the wings were incredible. Definitely my winner for the month by miles. They will be hard to beat. It was super oily from the peppers, it was dripping down my chin, but it was so tangy and delicious I couldn't stop eating it until they were all gone. The wings themselves were very meaty and fried hard like I would get in New York state. I think someone in their kitchen is from somewhere upstate New York because I rarely get wings that well fried outside of that state! After I polished those off, the pizza came. It was piping hot, rectangular and cooked to a golden brown. I ignored the heat and went for a slice. Buttery and crisp crust, rich and thick sauce, extra stretchy cheese, the pie was a lesson in generosity. The pepperonis were crispy like I like and the black olives had a more pronounced flavor than you usually find as well. Top notch pizza all around. I couldn't wait to tell my friends about this place, I was texting them in the car about my great experience. Living on the other side of Providence I will definitely be back, for more wings (half priced on Wednesday) and to try some of their entrees. I hear the chicken parm is outstanding! Until next time, Tomaselli's. You've gained a new regular customer out of me!

The interior is clean--almost startlingly so. White subway tile, wood-look floors, and that sprawling menu wall broadcasting "Fresh," "Spicy," and "Halal" like they actually mean something here. The young lady behind the counter had that genuine warmth you can't train into people. Not the "corporate manual says smile" routine, but someone who's actually invested in what they're serving. The sandwich arrived still hot. First bite tells the whole story--that perfect orange-colored crust breaks up properly, giving way to chicken that's fantastically seasoned all the way through. The bun holds everything without getting soggy or falling apart halfway through. It's the quick precision of fast food with the soul of something homemade. Those fries deserve their own paragraph--skinny, crisp, and seasoned with something that makes standard salt and pepper seem like amateur hour. Someone in that kitchen actually cares about the potatoes. What sets Maaz's apart is execution. They're not trying to create some wild new flavor profile or Instagram-bait sandwiches. They're just doing the basics perfectly, consistently, one serving at a time. Providence keeps turning up these gems--places that don't need fancy locations or PR campaigns, just seriously great food that creates its own word-of-mouth buzz. I'd open one of these in my hometown tomorrow if I could. The place would print money, not because it's revolutionary, but because it delivers exactly what it promises: the best version of a fast food chicken sandwich you've ever had. When I look for a Chimi I am looking for the works, nice meat size to fit bread ratio and fillings like cabbage, onions tomatoes etc. here, the Chimi is very pressed like a panini with just mayo ketchup and light cabbage Overall what really stood out to me was their Dominican hotdog and fritura.
