Growing up in Texas Whataburger was a weekend breakfast staple. Having moved from Texas in July of 2020 now any trip to Texas is not complete without a visit to Whataburger for breakfast at least once per trip and I am happy to say that this location has delivered time and time again when I've stopped by via both dining in and their drive-thru. My go-to breakfast favs include egg and cheese biscuit, egg sandwich, biscuit & gravy (no sausage), or their potato egg and cheese taquito. I love to add grilled onions to the taquito and one great thing I can add about this location is they always get my custom orders and item edits correct. I've never experienced any issues with their accuracy. Service has also always been fast and pleasant. Smiling faces inside the restaurant and at the window picking up my order. Short, sweet, and simple. This location delivers what one has come to expect from this Texas institution. See ya next visit.

I got a double whataburger from this establishment and I came to try it for the first time because I am visiting from California and the food was very good, but I couldn't stand, but to see this bigger short lady push around the older gentleman by the name of Robert. He seems to just be starting at this establishment and I can see from a customer's view point that she's going a bit too hard on him. I can't imagine behind closed doors. She should have a more nice genuine tone when she speaks to her employees, more specifically to Robert. Felt bad for him knowing he's working at this establishment.

Just need to try the Texas famous fast food joint. The service is excellent, but that is not important. The burger taste is a bit below In-N-Out and also the bun is way bigger than the patty.

Came here on a Monday afternoon for lunch and the place had a few other folks eating at various tables around us. The interior is what you'd expect from a fast food joint - didn't seem too clean, but it wasn't dirty either. Just kind of plain and ordinary overall. We got our food quite quickly after ordering and it was nice how they brought it out to us. I tried two of their sandwiches just to see how their variety was and I overall enjoyed the taste - they were good and given the price, it was a good deal. I thought the chicken was well fried and overall the sandwich had good flavor. The burger was classic and was a great meal, but it didn't stand out amongst other burger chains I've tried. Overall, I found this spot to be pretty solid and a good representation of Whataburger. If you're looking for great portions and fast food, this is the place to go!

Whataburger - a fast food staple for Texans and often compared to In N Out (which is primarily based in California). In N Out and Whataburger meets in Texas and you Texans get the benefit of both! For those unfamiliar with the comparisons; here are some: Similarities- -Extra veggies - no charge (just like In N Out) -both have Burgers, fries, coffee, and shakes! Differences- -Whataburger has spicy ketchup as an optional condiment. They put mustard in their burgers. Their lettuce is chopped which can get messy when eating. Their patties are thicker and don't fall apart like In N Out. When we left, an employee wished us a good day and that is super rare even at a dine-in restaurant. When talking to locals, Whataburger does have a following -Options: there are far more choices at Whataburger. A) There are 3 size options for fries. B) salad option available C) breakfast option available D) they have apples, too?!? -Whataburger has a rewards program/ app. Wished In N Out has this. -Hours: This particular location is open 24/7. Have not heard of any In N Out which opens 24/7. Would definitely recommend travelers try a local staple! It didn't disappoint. Love their fries over In N Out

Quick Stop at this location and I was not impressed my food wasn't made the right way and the lemonade seem to have been out and I was not made aware. Overall not a good experience

Dr. Pepper Milkshake / 5! When I was planning my first trip to Texas, I knew I wanted to try Whataburger. I live in an area where they do not have any locations and love all kinds of burgers and burger places. I am very happy to report my first visit to Whataburger was a big success. I was so excited to finally be able to try their burgers, so I got a little carried away and ordered a triple. The burger was huge! I am a hearty eater but even I had trouble finishing the entire triple burger. I had no regrets even though I had to rest after finishing it. The burger was full of beefy, good flavor. I had Whataburger twice on my vacation. The second time, I had a double which was a perfect, large meal for me with the fries. The fries were crispy and tasty. I love dipping sauces as well as ketchup. It was neat to see all the various sauces you could order with your meal. My favorites were the jalapeno ranch and spicy ketchup. I had never seen a Dr. Pepper milkshake on a menu before so I treated myself to a small one. It was like having a Dr. Pepper float. I'd order it again. This is the location we went to for our first Whataburger meal. The staff was clearly working hard that day. The place was busy and there were a lot of cars in the drive through window. But the crew was friendly and nice. The location had a lot of parking and lots of seating. Overall, for my first Whataburger experience, it was a good one and I would certainly return if the opportunity came up.

I used the Whataburger app to place the order and it was easy to redeem the coupon. However, I had several issues with my order. The bag did not have ketchup so I had to go back into the store to get it. My order was not ready when promised when I arrived 6 minutes after the pick up time. My French fries container was not even half way full. Also the gravy container was not full. The chicken strips were overcooked and very hard to chew. There were no napkins in my bag. The quality of the food was very low and the portions were not normal size. This location is closest to my place of employment so I am disappointed in the lack of quality for this visit.

First of all it gets extremely busy, I mean drive thru line to the street.. so for this reason I opted for indoor dining... Customer service was great! Yes it was busy, there were hardly seats available, but the staff was working.. they were polite and patient... The menu is pretty straightforward... chicken fingers! I tried the number 1... the chicken fingers are - good size. It comes with slaw, Texas toast and fries.... The slaw is good! Fries were fries but they were also good.. I did not try the Texas toast... but the chicken... Let's talk about this soft crispy chicken tender, that was fried to perfection.. one bite of this chicken and there is a burst of flavor... flavor that tells you this chicken was well seasoned.. these chicken fingers were huge so I could only have 1 1/2... But yes the flavor is there... We don't have this chain where I'm from, so I'm Glad I tried this while visiting Austin. Try it!

Outside of Chick-fil-A, Cane's is another southern franchise masterpiece. I always order the Box: a four-piece chicken tender combo with one Cane's sauce, cole slaw, crinkle cut fries & a buttery Texas toast. The Cane's menu keeps it simple--tenders or a chicken sandwich. No overwhelming, complicated orders here. I love the crinkle-cut fries and chicken tenders as they're always both lightly salted, soft and fluffy in the inside with a perfect crisp on the outside. Some people may think Cane's is dry--and sure, every day is different--but most of the time? It's perfect.

I studied their website before we went as a review session and they have a section with ingredients and options for food allergies and special diets. I got there prepared and the owner was there and I found out that website hasn't been updated in about 2 years. Many things have changed, but not their website. Our go-to Meati Sandwich is no longer on the menu. But I must say I love the new place. Bold, clean, awesome. Other than that, not too much has changed; they still have a lot of mouthwatering items on the menu... and my family can only eat one burger on the menu. We're allium-free vegetarians and there's alliums in sauces and certain proteins used. Thankfully, we were speaking to one of the co-owners and he was super helpful and patient with us, even looking up ingredients and letting us double check. He is aware of the Jain diet. They also have a kids menu and we actually ordered off of one for the first time for the kids (just a simplified version of the regular burgers), We ended up ordering: MISSION BURGER ($16.95): a classic burger with 2 Impossible patties. Having said that, the patties were super thin and smooshed flat. The guys got this burger. Took out onions and subbed out the house sauce with ketchup and mustard. JR MISSION BURGER ($12.95): same as the regular with only 1 of the smooshed impossible patties. My sister and I got this. A very good burger and it's such a nostalgic feeling eating a burger (that I didn't make myself for once). The burger was perfectly filling but I could definitely also eat a regular Mission with no issues since the patties are smooshed down. KIDS' CHEESEBURGER W/ FRIES (1 with a gluten-free bun), both $11.99 so no additional cost for GF: both my kids got this with nothing added in other than cheese and the smooshed impossible patty. The saddest looking burgers BUT they ate it! The gluten-free bun is a bit... flattened, but my kid ate half of it there and finished it on the car ride out of Austin. Then asked for another one. In fact, he's still asking for another one and it's been almost 2 weeks. My other kid (picky, no allergies) likes it as well, but didn't finish and not as much as her brother. But she definitely loved the fries. SMALL FRIES ($3.50): almost every order of burgers came with a side of fries. These are perfect, stayed delicious, and were perfectly seasoned. If you are gluten-sensitive or have a wheat allergy, do know they use a shared fryer for ALL their fried items. My kid with the food allergies couldn't eat them, just to be safe. COOKIES AND CREAM MILKSHAKE ($11.95): This is made with their soft serve and regular Oreo cookies. SO GOOD. My daughter and my vegan sister got one each. Not too sweet, hit the spot perfectly. I would like to suggest they offer a gluten-free version made with GF Oreos if they can figure out how to significantly eliminate cross contamination... or just use only GF Oreos. VANILLA SOFT SERVE ($3.99): fun fact - these are lentil protein based! Got this for my kid with the food allergies (he's allergic to wheat, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, avocado, pineapple, kiwi) who prefers real dairy and he ate almost the entire cup! It's a pretty hefty serving. I had a taste and it's pretty good. Very close to the dairy version. We were thrilled with our visit. Everything tasted great! I loved how there isn't an additional cost for a gluten free bun (it's a little wonky shaped... irregularly flattened on top). My food allergy kid asked me to make him a burger because he misses the one he got here and he specifically requested for buns with a round top so it's apparently a sore spot with him. I also love how I could actually talk to someone and make well informed decisions on what we could order... and we ordered everything we could have (aside from desserts). I'm a bit sad Mission Burger is so far away, but I guess it just means we'll have to stop by Austin when we're in Texas again. Thank you for another amazing experience!

FREE Chocolate Chip Cookie - The cookies are definitely great--no crazy standout, but they had a distinct oat flavor. I can imagine sea salt would enhance the flavor even more. I love chocolate chip, though... and FREE is the best seasoning. Mushroom Truffle - We agreed to split these burgers 50/50, and bro zoned out while eating; I got like 1/4 of it. Hopefully that emphasizes how much he enjoyed this burger. The first thing I noticed was that the patty wasn't as thick. I do like their burgers and how they're medium-rare, but this one was much more packed with mushrooms, per the burger style. If it had the B&B patty, this would've been my favorite. Hold up--I did not know this was an Impossible patty. Not bad, but it does explain the difference in flavor. Still, it paired exceptionally well with the mushrooms. Black & Blue - Very deep flavors. I didn't like it as much as the Mushroom Truffle. In fact, I felt like this was way too saucy. The blue cheese didn't hold the show as much as the rest of the burger, and I'm a sucker for blue cheese. Like, inject Penicillin straight into my soul; obsessed. Anyways, it was just okay. My BFF and I agreed that these burgers are TENDER. Like, "didn't have to chew; it was a soft slush in my mouth" tender. Anyways, the sauce on both of these was on point--the first bite was a very obvious banger of flavors. Okay. I lied; these are ALL Impossible patties. Instantly changed the game because these were very well executed. On the way out, one of the workers (perhaps the owner) asked for our feedback. Apparently, many of these burgers are new menu items, and we got to hear a bit of their backstory (and got another FREE cookie). Some of the loveliest people I've met. I really love what they're doing here, and I'm glad they moved just 15 minutes away from our location. Wishing them the best!

The restaurant was clean the atmosphere seen vintage but yet relaxed. You could definitely tell that they have been around serving food for years. I got my order within about five minutes of waiting and upon taking it out the bag, I can see the juices dripping outside of the paper. That gave me the sign at this burger was perfectly cooked and also gave me that old school type nostalgic hamburger feel. I ordered curly fries from my side and they came out hot and fresh as well.
