Now let me start by saying I love Whataburger as a company. Had it not been for Whataburger, who knows what junk I would have been fed growing up. You can say Whataburger(s) (in Mcallen, Mission, Edinburg) were a big part of my meals growing up. For me its a home type of restaurant, since I have had it so much. However this location. I have been living in the part of Austin, TX and this is my closest location . This location is by far the most mess up's. 90% of the time and I mean this people 9 out of 10 times this place messes up my orders. The staff is usually in a bad mood and angry. I don't even bother calling anymore the managers never seem to get the mess up's under control. It's a constant issue that has me at a point that I go elsewhere since I don't want to drive to another Whataburger location. Very friendly employees. Great customer service! He got my order right and brought it to my table with a tray of anything I might need. I was suprised. Because most places just call out a number n you go get it. Only reason I didn't give this place a higher score was because while I was eating, I looked over at the person making the burgers. .. and oh my god. . She did not use gloves AT ALL! It was my worst experience! The morning of 19th may 2016 i tried to order food and the guy said he didn't not understand even tho I was speaking loud and clear! When I came to the window, I asked him if he had the order right? I finally found out they had not put a straw, I drove around and when I reached the window I was there for a while, I could see they were ignoring me. Even tho the traffic was not busy! And they were laughing and when I was tired waiting i tried to make signs and finally he opened and told him that they had missed a straw and he mockingly offered me couple of straws and I told him that I only needed one! Whataburger is solid. I love Texas and I love Whataburger. It doesn't really matter which one you go to, the options are all the same and they're very consistent. Over the years the chicken sandwich has gotten way better. I like the honey bbq chicken strip sandwich but will often customize a cheeseburger with lots of jalapenos and pickles. I visited this location as a quick stop on the way to the river today and I was disgusted. My husband and I split the #13 chicken strips and found a bone inside one of them. Not that the bone is a big deal, I understand that chickens have bones, but the strips are supposed to be boneless. I told one of the employees who said he would inform a manager and the manager never came to speak with us. The chicken was also extremely dry. I maintain that Whataburger is the In-n-Out of Texas, just without all the hype and the insane lines. Had a 5-3-1 burger here after getting into AUS late last month, and was pleased with the general quality of the food (for fast food at least) and the speedy service. You can't go wrong when you eat at Whataburger. Delicious food and I love their diced up onions in their burgers. Depending on which location you go to you may see some different characters for a little entertainment, but to each his own. Huge burgers and not a bad price. Me and my family really enjoy going to Whataburger it's our favorite place to choose what we are going to have a burger at a fast food place. The last time I went to this location and we are got what we ordered and we all enjoyed our food. I asked for 7 spicy ketchups. I received 8. This store literally gave 114.29%. I would give 7 stars if I could. Also the iced tea was very refreshing. The Worst experience tonight with this location. I knew exactly what I wanted and it took 5min or more to order the food in the drive thru because the man was not listening I had to keep repeating myself and he kept asking questions I had already answered. I get to the window to pay and she took forever to give me my change because she was texting on her phone and it wasn't just a quick text either. Finally I get my food and I see I am missing a fry and I had to get off to get it since they made me drive up to the yellow line to wait for my food. Too bad I can't give this location zero stars. Took my kids there last night (my first mistake) and the service was terrible and the food (if you can even call it that) was even worse. They got our order wrong TWICE and my son's cheeseburger was so drenched in yellow mustard it glowed. The only thing that was remotely edible were the onion rings, which basically tasted like Funyuns deep fried. I wouldn't feed this garbage to a death row prisoner or a rabid dog. I know this will sound like heresy to some folks but Whataburger is THE most overrated burger joint in the entire history of American fast food.
