I have to go to Whataburger every time I'm in the southern half of the US for their honey butter chicken biscuit. This location does them well! The hashbrowns and iced coffee were great as well. We had a really great server who actually brought napkins, sauces, forks, etc to our table, along with our food. I placed a mobile order through the Whataburger app, paid in full (I have the receipt to prove it), and figured it would be a quick and easy pickup. Instead, I waited in line for over 30 minutes--and still left without part of my meal. No grilled cheese. No drink. Not even ketchup. Not even a "Sorry for the wait." Just confusion and silence. This has to be one of the worst Whataburgers. Poorly managed! Both restaurants water in sink wouldn't turn on, no paper in men's room. Thank goodness for hand sanitizer. No sugar packets at the tea machines. Asked the kid for some who brought us 3 packets, but never filled the empty counter. This is a newer restaurant and it's dirty. Greasy handprints on the booth partitions. Come on Whataburger, do better! The Queen Creek manager needs to show this one how to clean up house. read more

Recently, I went to Whataburger for the first time, and overall it was pretty good. The restaurant was clean and the prices are incredibly reasonable. Most of us got burgers, and I had a buffalo chicken sandwich. All the food was delivered directly to our table, and I like that way they visit the table with extra condiments to see what you might need. The food tasted as good as can be expected, and our order was accurate. There were a couple of issues, but nothing major. For example, the fountain soda machine wasn't working and nobody seemed overly concerned about it being broken after we passed on the information. The fries were kind of short in the container, but we are talking about a very reasonable price point so we can't be too picky. The location seemed nice enough and was not very crowded. Overall, in a pinch this location has decent food with good service and a minimal hit in the wallet. read more

On Saturday afternoon around 4:40 p.m., I placed a simple carryout order: two chicken sandwiches with no pickles. When I got home and opened the bag, I discovered I had been given two hamburgers instead. Mistakes happen--I get it--so initially, I considered just eating them. But after a couple of bites, I decided I wanted the meal I actually ordered and paid for, so I returned to the restaurant to have the mistake corrected. When I got back, I calmly explained the issue. The person who took my order admitted the error and apologized, which I appreciated. She went to have the correct order remade while I waited patiently. Then, out of nowhere, the manager comes out and says, "We have decided that we are not going to serve you today, and here is a refund of your money." What?? No explanation, no attempt to make things right--just a flat-out refusal to serve me. I was shocked. I wasn't rude. I wasn't demanding. I simply asked for the food I had originally ordered. Instead, I was treated like an inconvenience for pointing out a clear and admitted mistake. This level of disrespect and unprofessionalism is completely unacceptable. A business that can't own up to a basic error and treat customers with courtesy doesn't deserve your time or money. Do yourself a favor and skip this location. WHATA - BUMMER This was the weirdest fast food queueing system I had ever experienced. The double lane drive thru with a staff member in each lane taking orders is usually the method used when the restaurant anticipates high volumes of cars. Me and another car pulled in the double lane drive-thru simultaneously and were in separate lanes. I ended up being the second car to arrive. I placed my simple order with the associate; #5 combo, bacon cheeseburger. I used a credit card, to which the associate walks all the way inside the building to charge the card instead of being able to use the tablet from which he took the order. In the time that it was taking to get my order, 6 more cars had pulled into the drive thru. It was already 10 minutes gone by and the first car had already drove off with their order and the other car had pulled up in its place. After 15 minutes, orders were coming out but the associates were walking around confused because they were asking my name, if it was my order. When my order was finally brought to me they had forgot the drink so they had to go back in and get it. They had no direction or organization to their ordering system and took quite long just to get 1 combo meal with only 1 customer ahead of me. The burger itself was meaty and the fries were fresh at least. But the burger was kind of basic and nothing I would be rushing back to get at $12 for the 3 items and wait in that drive thru. read more

I literally CRAVE the Jalapeno Cheese Burger and now that this one is so nearby it has become a bit of an addiction in the best way... plus they are 24/7 so I never have to worry if they will be open when I want one. At times the line can be long but it's become a popular spot in town. While I have only ever used the drive through, the staff is always super friendly. It may take a little longer than typical "fast food" but quality is not sacrificed. Today I also got a side of large onion rings - its the weekend lol. Gosh, they have terrible service here. Stood here waiting for an UberEats order for about 15 minutes just being ignored. One couple was dining inside and the drive through also had one or two cars. As a kid I remember when Whataburger came out, and they were great. We used to have them as a tradition on Christmas eve for many years. Today I decided to give them another try, as it's been several years, and the last few times hadn't been great. I had a coupon for a free double Chili Cheeseburger with the purchase of a medium fries and drink. I ordered mine with jalapenos, for an extra 70 cents. The bill after the coupon was $7.38. I remember not that long back that was the regular price of the full meal, including the burger. They took off $9.39 for the burger, so without the coupon this would have been over $17 for a single meal. There were about 3 people ahead of me waiting for food as I sat down. The wait was just about 10 minutes for the food, but the burger they gave me didn't have any jalapenos on it, so add another couple of minutes to get them to notice me standing at the counter with food in my hands, and to actually give me a cup full of jalapenos. Once I got everything assembled I was looking forward to a decent burger, but I can't say that's what I got. Even with likely double the jalapenos of a normal order, and the chili on it it was bland. I could sorta taste the chili, which wasn't good at all, but the most flavor came from the cheese slices. The meat had nothing to add but texture, and with two patties it filling, but that's the best thing I can say about this burger. Now for the fries. I ate about 6 or 7 long fries out of the pictured SOCALLED medium fries. When they served them the container was on its side, had stuff flowing out like it appeared full, but the container was never opened up at the base so it was like a small envelope, instead of a medium sized container. The staff is either to lazy to open the container properly, or more likely they're told to fill them this way to reduce serving sizes. What a turnaround! For at least today. I was thinking about whether or not management reads these critical reviews and let me tell you I was critical, but I was honest when I gave my last review about a month ago and I had similar experiences several times that matched my review. So, I was thinking, has anything changed?. I went this morning at 6 AM and ordered the exact same thing I did prior. My order was taken and reconfirmed he got it correct . I then went up to the drive-through window and was getting myself ready for a very long wait but that did not happen, amazingly in two minutes I received my correct order. What I did notice is they had three team members working and the gentleman that took my order and gave me my food, seems to be more of a Supervisor/ Manager. He was very professional and courteous. I would have to say somebody read these reviews and made some organizational changes for the better. The verdict is still out, but I wanted to give some positive feedback as it is warranted. Keep up the good work and don't let the quality of service fall or lack behind in the future. read more

I have been to many Whataburger locations and this was by far, the best. I ordered curbside pick up and when I arrived, they had plenty of curbside parking spots. When I noted in the mobile app that I arrived, literally 1 or 2 minutes later, the food had arrived. Leticia was so sweet and accommodating. I was actually impressed because I have never received curbside service like this location and I'm being 100% honest. This location can literally teach the other locations a thing or two about customer service and respecting customers time while ordering curbside pick up. I sat in line for over 25 minutes. I was in Lane 2 with one other car ahead of me. I watched 5 other cars receive their order before me despite ordering before them. The food was cold, no straws provided, Ketchup or salad dressing were provided. They added chicken to the salad even though I say veggie only. My friend came from out of town and said they have always wanted to try Whataburger so I took them to this location. I have always seen this place driving by but have never thought of getting it until now. We went online and saw some videos of people eating Whataburger and what we saw in the videos looked a bit disappointing and to be honest lowered our expectations a lot, so glad to say we were actually honestly surprised by the food for the better!!! We went around lunchtime 12 PM on a Wednesday and there was a line but it probably took us less than 10 minutes to order our food and get it. The smell outside the place in the drive thru line was amazing! Smelled like delicious greasy burgers! We ordered two of the All-Time Favorites listed on their menu: the Whataburger Patty Melt and Honey BBQ Chicken Strip Sandwich and then their normal Spicy Chicken Sandwich. We also ordered a large fries on the side and as recommended from one of the YouTube videos we saw, one of the Jalapeño Ranch dips. One cool thing about Whataburger too is that they have a Spicy Ketchup which tastes like ketchup with a hint of spice so it isn't overly spicy! The fries were rather disappointing. Didn't taste very potatoey or flavorful, kind of reminds me of In-N-Out fries, nothing special. The Patty Melt tasted pretty great and had a lot of flavor!!! If you like melts then you would love this!!! The Honey BBQ Chicken Strip Sandwich was actually one of the better chicken sandwiches I have had at a fast food place! The chicken was perfectly crispy and the BBQ sauce wasn't overwhelming. My friend had the Spicy Chicken Sandwich and said it tasted good for a chicken sandwich. I would recommend getting one of their All-Time Favorites to try! We had low expectations so were blown away by the food (minus the fries)! WE LOVE YOU WHATABURGER!!!!!!!!!! The location in Mesa, Arizona was so good to us when we were there. We were visiting from Vegas and the late night food scene is few and far between in other places. We saw that Whataburger, which we don't have here in LV, was open 24 hours, we jumped at the opportunity to go try it. We got there and the menu was of good variety and had something for everyone. I got a breakfast biscuit chicken sandwich and my boyfriend got a patty melt. These sandwiches were absolutely AMAZING. We got a bunch of their sauces to try and wow those were big daddy sized cups of sauce! At no extra charge?!! That is amazing! Julian Villarreal is the "operating partner" at this location - and that appears to be most of the problem with the low reviews here. We came in for an order around 5PM - there was one car in the drive through. Julian sat in the dining area with 2 other female employees, making casual talk on topics inappropriate for a customer-space. Julian took cell-calls that sounded like he has side-hustles that may not be completely legitimate. As cars piled up in the drive-through, and our walk-in order went unfulfilled - Julian kept on talking to these two female employees as the rest of the staff fell further and further behind the rush happening around them. Only when I began filming Julian and his conversation did he notice and then stormed across the store demanding that he "did not give me permission" to film him and that the store was private property. I offered him the opportunity to call the police and have me ejected from the property, but Julian declined. I accused him of being up in my face, and he said I was in HIS face - but I was in the same place I had been filming Julian in from the start - he was the one that walked across the store to where I was. Julian mishandled his role as a manager at every point in our experience at this location - and it must be miserable working under such a poor leader. I suspect job dissatisfaction is high, morale is low, and turnover is rapid at this location - and with that kind of stability - no matter how clean and new the store is - the experience is going to disappoint customers. I'd suggest finding a different Whataburger in the Phoenix area - although there are plenty of other burger choices around beyond this, anyhow. Julian aggressively and defensively escalated a dissatisfied customer into one contacting the corporate offices directly and writing a negative review on Yelp. The kid has a lot to learn about being in a leadership role - and whoever put him there - an his tio or padre or patron - needs to sit down and have a long talk with him about how it is the CUSTOMER who is king, not the petty tyrant operating partner. I would avoid this location - who knows what ELSE goes on here - but the operating partner is clearly running a very loose ship. read more

Good food but I it seems that the few times that we've been, our order is incorrect. Last time, I specified NO cheese on one burger and they put cheese on all four of them. I cannot eat dairy. This time, I again specified NO cheese on one burger but cheese on three. They gave me two with cheese and two without. I verified my receipt and it has the correct order.
