If I could give a 0 I would. This store has never once, not once, gotten my order correct. Every time its been missing food (that I PAID for!!!!!, and whataburger is really not cheap when you add it all up), long wait times even when ordering ahead, and complete incompetence from them with the proper execution of their online order platform and curbside service options. I once waited at curbside (after checking in and the app confirming that my order was done and what curbside spot I was in etc)that I literally ( like Im not joking or just being a dramaqueen or exaggerating) feel asleep and woke up 54 mins later. No one noticed I was there. No one delivered my food. And when I went in after wasting my afternoon asleep in a parking spot, they didn't have my order at all. I then waited another 26 minutes for them to make my food. In my defense for this next tidbit, I didn't think that I nattered so little as a customer or that any person et alone a working crew of people could be so careless and disorganized to make the situation any worse. Well stupid me, being so agitated and now in a hurry I didn't check the bag. I was just over it at that point. When I called to tell them what happened, I requested a refund and was told I had to call cooperate because they "don't do that". Upon calling corporate I was told they would issue me a refund that they said I would have to wait 3-5 days for which I have yet to receive. This was only one of the odorous attempts to enjoy their fare. Just over all a poorly managed, poorly staffed, unethical and inconsiderate establishment. One may argue, "if its so bad why continue to eat there?". Well..... Because it Whataburger!!! And I am a person who has to to have Hope in my heart. Hope for the future, hope for change. Order a meal and the guy who brought it out just handed me the bag, so I put it in the passenger seat and drove off. However just as I was about to hit the highway my spirit said, check the bag!!! The food is fine....the management is the worst. They could care less about pleasing the customer. I went thru the drive thru and ordered biscuit and sausage gravy. I have learned to check the gravy before driving off and this time it was full but 3 tiny flecks of sausage so I asked for a replacement. They wanted to charge me. But when your cashier, DeShawn, rolls his eyes at every single person when they approach the counter to order, or asks about a pick up order, you should probably say something to him. This location is very unorganized, I came here to pick up a order that is already paid for. I asked to use the restaurant, I work for a delivery service, I asked to use the bathroom. I was told I could only use the bathroom if I made a purchase. Are you serious I'm basically walking in to pickup the order for the customer. Whataburger: good. This location: terrible. I spent most of my life in Oklahoma and Texas and Whataburger was always the "go to" best place to get burgers. I stopped at this Haskell location in Dallas while visiting family. The burger was just "ok" lacking the flavor I remembered. What really ticked me off though was the customer service. First, there are no napkins available in the lobby. You have to ask for them and then they will rudely hand you two (2) napkins, acting like you asked for gold bars or something. Second, the restrooms are locked with a coded keypad. This I can sort of understand. I guess this is a bad part of Dallas (?). However, they won't tell you the code to get in. You have to wait until there are no customers in line so that the counter person can walk around and punch in the code manually to let you in. Again, rude employee never said a word, just acted as though I was inconveniencing her. Just tell me the code and you won't have to make that walk! Extremely disappointed. read more

However, had to stand there for over half an hour waiting on the food, to the point of getting locked inside. Multiple customers before and after me had received their food. Did not even receive an apology, but rather, "Your food will be out soon". That was another 10-15 minutes of waiting. Was standing there so long the lobby had closed (at midnight), doors locked behind me, and it was very frustrating at this point. I came here for lunch on a Monday. Whataburger is definitely the main fast food chain in Texas. Texans are very proud of Whataburger so I came to check it out. I ordered the patty melt meal which came with a medium drink and French fries. They give you a number sign and you wait for someone to bring you your order. The medium drink size looked like a large drink to me but I guess everything is bigger in Texas. The patty melt was okay, it was cheesy but bland. The fries could be crispier, was a bit soft for the most part. The spicy ketchup was very good, definitely helped with the blandness. The drink was enormous. I'm not one to leave negative reviews but we waited 35+ minutes in the drive thru for our food...THEN they forgot one of our sandwiches so we went inside and waited another 23 minutes to get it after telling 2 people. While waiting, I watched people in the back touch their hair with the gloves they were touching food with. Some of the employees looked like they were there for social hour and not for work. There was a lack of communication between them, etc. They all seemed inattentive. The person who took our order on the intercom was talking so slow like he was on something. The one who came to our car, also seemed out of it. All of our food was cold when we got it. A gentleman next to me had been waiting for his order longer than my 23 minutes, and everyone that ordered after him got their food before him. Turns out he waited 30+ minutes for an order of fries and onion rings... I applaud his patience. I was finally asked what I was waiting for by someone who looked like he was a supervisor or manager (?). He apologized, got the sandwich for me ASAP and gave me extra fries. Twice I have gone into Whataburger and used cash over the past 3 months. Each time I get no change they keep my change. They do not keep tills of cash money in the register. So they take cash but won't give you your own change in return. Are they too lazy to count money at the end of the night, they blame it a shortage of coins. Yet across the Street 100 feet away is a bank of America and Kroger. They don't deserve a single star, but I have to select at least one. Because one you try this deliciousness, all you'll be able to say is "what a burger". If you have the chances, please dine in at least once. For $0.79 more, please do WHATASIZE your meal as you'll need to experience the heavenly fries. When offered between regular or spicy ketchup, be real, and ask for the spicy. My favorite is the grilled chicken sandwich, no butter in the buns, with a good ol' diet Dr. Pepper. The Patty burger is also incredibly good to the taste buds, and will have you singing its praise home. The chicken tender basket is a classic with its gravy sauce.
