2nd time I have ordered on line for a 5pm pickup. Didn't get my order for 45 minutes AFTER I arrived. HORRIBLE SERVICE! Employees just wandering around, talking to each other or looking at their phones. Was asked 4 times for my order name and STILL had to wait 45 minutes. This location was packed around 2 PM in the afternoon. There was one girl in the front waiting on a line of about five or six people at a time. She did a great job at moving as quickly as possible and getting people through the line. I wish you would've had more help. The food was amazing! Well, growing up on Whataburger makes this review extremely difficult. We have lived near this Whataburger for over 13 years now and I can safely say that it is by far the worst place a person could eat at. The burgers and fries have repeatedly been blah -- dried up meat, wilted lettuce, huge chucks of onions, gooey cheese, and so little mustard I wonder if they do that on purpose. Fries are cold and stale; and if by some miracle they are hot, then they are hot and stale. But what really chaps my hide is the drive through and online orders. Drive through is a joke. You order, pay, and then get sent to the boonies to wait 30 minutes for 2 burgers, fries, and chk nuggets! I can only wonder how long it would be if I order three burgers. And when they bring the food it is I described above. The Online app is HORRIBLE (this is the first review I have ever used all caps; not even "Pizza the Promiscuous"** is as bad). We come home with different orders, missing items and always the same old cold stale food. Overall, my advise is to stay away. If you really need 24 hour food, go to "John in the Container."**. At least they have tasty eggrolls which in itself says a lot. **i don't like to name other businesses in my reviews of others so I use names that are close but not on. Great burgers...but the drive thru is a complete disaster. Every single time I come, no matter what I order, I have to pull up and wait an extra 5-10 min in the parking lot. No matter how times I have visited this particular location,the service is terrible. Again today Sunday June 30th I order a simple #2 with a sweet tea and arrive home to a large cup of unsweetened tea. This location has terrible customer service! The staff at 6 AM was completely rude, especially after taking over 25 minutes to make a breakfast order. I tried to communicate with the staff and ask why it was taking so long and they proceeded to put a large tea jug at the window. After finally receiving my order, the girl at the drive-through handed me my order like SHE was mad at me for asking why my order took so long. She didn't apologize or even say thank you just handed me my food and closed the window. I'll make the extra drive down the road to avoid this whataburger at all costs. Review update: I decided to go tonight and everything was perfect! They gave me my order quickly and it was correct. They were polite throughout the transaction at the drive-thru. Sure enough, with my luck, the lady in front of me didn't know how to order, she either wanted a double with double meat which makes it a quadruple or wanted to make sure the double had exactly 2 patties, I don't know. Luckily the manager saw my frustration and quickly opened a second register. Myself and the person behind me, completed our orders before the other person, and no she wasn't an old lady, which could've made her confusion acceptable. Holy hamburger! What is going on? It is 11:58 PM and I am on an extremely long line...at this hour. Are all these people like me? I was working very hard in my yard today, showered and then put on my pjs. I got on the sofa with my little dog and turned on Netflix to watch season 1 episodes of DC Legends (which my 16 year old nephew loaded into my "watch" list) and then all of a sudden I was Starvin' Marvin! I had never been to a Whataburger, or at least not in El Paso. I saw their ad on TV for a patty melt and it convinced me I needed to try one. Being a gringo, sometimes it can be difficult to order at a drive-through in El Paso. Either I have difficulty understanding the employee or they have trouble understanding me. No problem at this Whataburger. However, the wait at the window was long, 5 minutes, to receive a patty melt, a fajita chicken taco, and an order of fries. It was around 2:30 so sometimes wait times can be longer than at busy times when an inventory of already-made products is available. I expected the patty melt to be in very thick, tough Texas Toast. Just the opposite, not overly bready and quite soft. The sandwich was very good. Also, the fajita chicken taco, while overpriced at $4, is very good. There is plenty of nicely-flavored chicken strips along with green peppers and onions. The downside was below average french fries which were lukewarm, at best. The soda was too full of ice. I liked their menu, it was a little different than many other fast food outlets. The breakfast menu looked very good and extensive. I'll be back. read more

I can officially say that I have tried the whataburger. And while it was decent for a chain, it's nothing to write home about. I got the number 5 which was a whataburger with cheese and bacon meal. So you get your drink and a number and you take that to the table you want to sit at and wait. I think I finally got my food after 10 or so minutes. For fast food they weren't very fast. So I tried my french fries first which were pretty good but I still think McDonalds are better. Next i unwrapped my sandwich and was completely thrown back by how big the thing was, about as big as my head. While the burger was good it was just way too much food. I threw more than half my burger away and ate most of my fries. And while sitting there waiting on my food I was looking at the menu more closely and discovered that they had a whataburger jr. So kinda like the whoppers back home, if I go back before I come back home then that is the route I will take instead. Overall decent but can take or leave it. read more
